I ordered online, but called to make sure I was ordering the correct part for my model cooktop. They recommended and sent the wrong part. So, I called today to see if I could send it back and get the correct part.* I wasn't asking for a refund. After speaking with a woman for some time I asked to speak with the owner. Don reiterated that I was calling more than a year past their return policy and that there was nothing he could do because he didn't know who I spoke with. It doesn't matter who I spoke with, it is his company and it's his policy. Reading the recent reviews it seems the current ownership/management has a few very unhappy customers. I'm one of them. Also made it lighter for us taking to drop off for recycling. Fast forward 11 months, we decided our washer and dryer had been fixed enough times and it was time to upgrade. Again, we found better pricing and warranty at Appliance Depot. Our 3 appliances are doing great. The one service call we made, for the fridge, was soon after the request was made, repair person was timely, and we had a laugh at the user error that prompted the call to begin with. There were red flags early, I should have cancelled my service request! First, Steve asked that I…read morecall him the morning of my scheduled service on my gas stove to make sure he could still come out to my house for the 10 am appointment. When I called in the morning of my scheduled appointment, he asked is it was ok if he showed up around 10:30 am. He did show up right at 10:30 am, made the repair, and was gone in less than an hour. I then left my home for a little over an hour and when returned I was overwhelmed with the smell of natural gas stink. After both the Police and Firemen where at my house investigating a gas leak, all they could find was something in the kitchen around the stove. Steve was called back and asked to return to investigate his "repair". He said he could return but would need to charge another service call. Really! He did return and showed up at the same time the Gas company technician showed up. He was rude and argumentative in regards to the connection between his service of my gas stove and the following gas leak in my house. Needless to say, Steve is not correcting the gas burner repair or fixing the gas line kink/leak where the gas line connects to the oven burner.
