What a great name for a business, right?? Like other reviews indicate...these guys are super responsive, honest and trustworthy. All really good words when thinking about spending money on appliance repair. I used the online form at like 9p and heard back from their scheduling team the next day. Jared is an awesome tech, explains things clearly, lays out a plan to troubleshoot a problem and makes sure you know the cost up front. I used them years ago and had a great experience. I called them recently to fix my GE Monogram refrigerator and received a prompt response. Over the next 5 weeks, they sent 3 different techs (which I think is what ultimately led to the poor service), replaced 4 different parts, including 2 of the control panel motherboards. After $2K in parts and service and the refrigerator not being fixed, they stopped responding. I then called the GE appliance service team who upon the first visit knew it was the crisper door damper. Replaced it on one visit and the unit is fixed. After multiple follow ups to Stronghammer, Jared never got back to me. Will be heading straight to the GE team moving forward.. Was very thankful for StrongHammer as they were the first place I called that could come check my dryer out same day. The guy that came found and resolved the issue quickly, a blown fuse deep within the dryer and we had a functioning dryer again. But just my luck, it went out again two weeks later. StrongHammer sent the same guy back to take another look, this time he spent more time and replaced a heat sensor as he was concerned it was causing the fuse to blow. I was not charged for the second visit which was very much appreciated. I will recommend this company to others, they were great to work with. read more

I contacted multiple appliance repair companies. A couple couldn't be bothered to reply, three others turned down the work (apparently not a lot of service companies work on GE refrigerators). I thought it was a lost cause, but then posted an inquiry on StrongHammer's website. I got a text reply in minutes confirming they'd be able to help & setting up an appointment. A half hour before the scheduled service call, I received a text stating the technician was on his way. He arrived at exactly the scheduled time. He was in a uniform, showed up with a good understanding of the issue & had the refrigerator repaired & running perfectly within a half hour. I contacted another highly rated repair service on Yelp who referred me to Stronghammer. Apparently Stronghammer specializes in high end appliances and I needed my Subzero freezer repaired. The repair man was on time and very communicative and super thorough. I ended up needing two things replaced and the total bill was $700 but the entire time I felt the guy knew what he was talking about and was uniquely able to truly diagnose what was wrong with my freezer. Needed all of the wood floors redone on the entire main level of my house, as well as a patch job. The team at Stronghammer took less than a week to get it completely done. Michael fixed a known issue with our Sub-Zero refrigerator. A previous repair person had fixed it sort of half-way a few years ago. It was not cheap, but he understood that I would rather have this 20 year old refrigerator in working order than a new model thay would never last that long. He seems very smart & honest. read more

We had Michael come out and look at our washer on 11/14/2017. He thought he fixed it and we were charged. It happens that it wasn't fixed and he was out 11/15/2017 in the early morning. Upon further inspection it was more than one issue and he was honest with us that it just wouldn't be worth the money to fix it. He handed me back my check from the day before, took out the part and only charged us a small fee for checking it out. I doubt many others would have the integrity to do that. Most would take the money and run. Class act & will for sure keep them in the forefront of my mind if I ever need help with any appliances in the future. Will recommend to anyone. read more

Although the repair person couldn't duplicate the problem he believed me when I told him my washer wasn't spinning properly and came up with a solution which fixed it. This company was great! I was happy to support a small local business. They were able to get a technician out the same day. They told me how much my dishwasher would cost after the inspection. It was an honest amount and we decided to go buy a new one. There was a fee for the technician's time but that is totally understandable as he did drive to our house and take our dishwasher apart for diagnostics. Overall I was happy with the experience and I appreciated their time. read more

I was very impressed by the owner, Michael Ude, for his very through evaluation of my dishwasher. Once he identified the part that was causing the problem, he tried to find a replacement part to be able to offer a repair at a reasonable cost. Due to the age of the dishwasher, the part was no longer available. I would highly recommend Michael for any of your appliance repair needs. read more
