There's something to be said for people who just make your life a little easier. My fridge went out last week... it was well over 20 years old. I went in to AC Carlson (I've been there before). Found a new refrigerator that matches my needs perfectly. Bought it, scheduled installation. They came out yesterday and took away the beat-up old fridge, put in the new one, it's up it's installed, and it works great. We were looking for new appliances and a friend of mine recommended that we check out AC Carlson. We went to the store and we're greeted by a friendly salesperson. We decided on Maytag appliances and ordered them after finding out that they were in stock and that AC Carlson has their own people deliver them. This is a huge plus in my book. The appliances arrived today and were in excellent condition. Not one flaw was found. The installer at Appliance Care was also very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend AC Carlson. I hate to give a poor review of AC Carlson because my dad has been a loyal customer here for years. Unfortunately, I went in Tuesday night looking for a counter depth fridge and a stackable washer/dryer for my new condo and had a pretty disappointing experience. The store is nice, clean, organized, and has nice stuff. Took awhile for an older gentleman to approach me and ask what I was looking for. He showed me a couple fridges that could be ordered in the color I wanted but were beyond what I wanted to spend. When I asked about a lower priced option (since I know that price point exists after going to a variety of other appliance stores), his response to whether they carried anything in that range was "probably not". It wasn't followed up by a "let me check", "yes, but we don't have that model in the store", "you could check this place" or anything else along those lines that I heard from every other store I visited with the same question. I kinda felt like it was a "good ole boys club" mentality and that time or energy wasn't to be wasted on a silly girl until her husband or dad showed up with her. I was sent there by my dad, but I am fully capable of selecting and paying for my own appliances...and so are many other single, young women. I didn't feel my business was wanted or that I was taken seriously, so I didn't even bother to ask about the washer/dryer and left. I'm sure many of the sales staff and the overall business doesn't condone or operate in that way, but that was not my experience so I won't be back and won't be referring any business. P.S. AC Carlson does carry a refrigerator in the price point I asked about--a simple search on their website showed me a couple options. read more

Unbelievably great service during Coronavirus outbreak after both my washer and dryer died. Dan @ A.C. Carlson was able to help me find the right washer/dryer replacements virtually. I live in an old house where the installers had to hoist the appliances in/out of the basement without a staircase. They came out in advance to ensure they could make it work without charging me (BEFORE I had purchased anything!). They went above and beyond, making this my best appliance purchasing experience ever. They've earned my business going forward; strongly recommending to everyone. read more

Our dishwasher broke in early January. We went to 2 different stores to get a new one. Both places did not deliver the dishwasher on the day the delivery was set up for. I went to AC Carlson and talked to Gordie. He was knowledgeable, low pressure. He assured me the delivery would be done at a time that worked for my busy schedule. And, everything went as planned! I would never EVER go to this "home town" appliance est. it made me really sad that the owner has e big ego. And after receiving the applicance he delivered I noticed many items that either were faulty or damaged.. when I went into the store with my concerns the men all looked at me and I felt a very strong feeling they didn't respect women. Never would I go there again but I thought give the business some local support AS MY DAD Moved us to New Hope in 1969. Supported the businesses. If he were alive he would not taken what they did as how they were to me.. and a part was missing. Four months later? I had to keep calling. The answer I recieved was "the part was so small". "We weren't sure". It's been sitting here". So just to put it out there so no support this for sure "all men" that I felt are womanizers. Makes me sick. The owner whom I had a short conversation with when he delivered this appliance to me was rude. Over the years, I have had delivered a frig and 2 wall air conditioners. Best customer service. They answer the phone! No annoying automation and prompts to get to a human. Employees have worked there for years and take pride in their installation, product knowledge, service, and timeliness. Not like the big box places where employee turnover can be an issue. 3rd generation AC Carlson fan. Love the CAN DO attitude. read more

We purchased a new range from AC Carlson on Monday, and it was delivered on Thursday. Another store in town could not deliver without a 2 week time frame. After the purchase we realized a competitor had the same range for less and AC Carlson matched the price. The delivery guys called on Wednesday to confirm they would be here around 8:45 AM the next day. They were right on time, friendly, fast and efficient. After they left my husband hooked up the stove and it wouldn't work properly. We tried several things then called the store. Gordy was here in less than an hour to see what he could do, and although we think we know what the problem is, we will need a Ktichenaid tech out here. Gordy will have someone out tomorrow. At every turn the folks we've dealt with have been friendly, concerned and working hard to make sure we're happy. I will use AC Carlson for all future appliance purchases and would highly recommend them. read more
