We used Jerry from Light Em Up Electric for multiple projects after buying our new home, and he quickly became one of the most trusted professionals we've ever worked with -- not just as an electrician, but as a true advisor on all things home ownership. From day one, it was clear that Jerry genuinely cared about making sure our house was safe, functional, and move-in ready. He thought about things we weren't even considering and guided us through every step like a partner, not just a contractor. He even corrected some shoddy work left behind by others, always doing things the right way. Jerry helped us with so much -- he installed recessed lighting in all of our bedrooms, perfectly spacing them out, advising us on retrofit options, and even teaching me how to do some of the work myself. He went way above and beyond what any electrician would typically do because he genuinely cared about the customer. Cutting into our old plaster ceilings was no easy task, but he did a flawless job. He also completely redid all the electrical in our garage, replacing the old shop lights with new LED fixtures mounted on the joists -- it totally modernized the space. He advised us on lighting placement, collaborated directly with our HVAC contractor on-site, and made sure everything was wired safely and neatly. Jerry even came back multiple times to work around other contractors' schedules, installed new outlets and pull-through boxes for our TV wall, and added an exterior outlet for our outdoor water heater. Jerry is an expert in his craft -- detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to doing every job perfectly. But what really sets him apart is his integrity. He's one of those overly good guys -- the kind of person who does more than what's required simply because it's the right thing to do. You can tell immediately that he takes pride in his work, cares about his customers, and treats every project like it's his own home. Communication with him and Berenis was also excellent -- they always did what they said they would, on time and with great follow-through. It's clear that this business genuinely cares about its customers, and you feel that in every interaction. In a world where finding trustworthy, hardworking tradespeople can feel impossible, I'm so grateful we found Jerry and Light Em Up Electric. It's no surprise he has so many 5-star reviews -- he's earned every one of them. If you're looking for someone who will treat your home like their own and do the job right, Jerry is the one to call. read more

They put shoe covers to enter into our home and covered our floor with plastic sheet before putting a ladder. They were very professional. read more

I'm on the HOA board of a small condo complex which has had a recurring electrical problem of the past year and a bit and been totally ripped off by the management companies electrical contractors. It was so wonderful to find Light'em Up Electric! Jerry did an excellent job at a great price! Outside of that, he was so easy to deal with and incredibly helpful. He definitely went above and beyond in trouble shooting the lighting problem, even after fining the issue, he continued to check voltage, amps etc on the cabling in the building. Then he went (literally) out of his way to find a replacement part with a brand and model he knows to be reliable. He had to go to multiple places to find one in stock. He did the job, totally explaining what he was doing and why. When he was done we discussed other potential improvement work and he was so practical. His suggestions included cost effective options through to high end alternatives. One was even a completely different approach not involving electrical work. He deserves the full 5 star rating and I strongly recommend him to any individual, home owners association or business if your looking for a reliable, practical and cost effective vendor for your electrical needs. read more

I had found myself in a tight situation as I attempted switching my Thermostat and ended up with a burned fuse. Nothing would work and we spent a couple of nights sleeping under many blankets. Jerry helped me uncover the burned fuse issue and, given it was a very simple task, just instructed me on how to change it and fix it without any charges. His responsiveness and friendliness were unparalleled. Thank you again Jerry read more

Recently purchased the house. We have been asking Jerry to help us with the whole outlets and covers, next thermostats, and several light fixtures. They were never late, which I love. Also they always show up with vacuum machine and wears masks. Most importantly Jerry never quoted me ridiculous prices like others did on thumbtack. Not to mention that they are very friendly, skillful and very detail oriented. Cleans up the place and wipes the light fixtures gently always. I would definitely recommend them. Light'em Up Electric is a fantastic company to work with. They are very responsive and dedicated to providing the best service possible at the most competitive price. Jerry spent an entire day installing electrical wiring for two ceiling fans and creating recessed lighting for two rooms. I came home and was nicely surprised to see that he had cleaned up after himself. His dedication to doing a good job is very evident. I have used other electrical companies in the past, and have always felt like they tried to take advantage or make a quick buck however that was certainly not the case here.
