I just received my New Stairlift yesterday, installed by Danny, a conscientious and meticulous and respectful young man who went about the task at hand in an orderly and most efficient manner, appearing to dot all "i's" and cross all"t's". Assembly of this device is truly an arduous task, as I observed the entire process. He did not leave until he was certain that I understood the proper operation, and he answered every question I presented. However, Gamburd's work order, which I had to initial each item and I received a copy, included a list of specifications, guarantee's, and warranties. I received a photograph of each person who was to enter my home, which is a wonderful safety feature given today's potential for high crime. Crista, the office representative kept me informed, answered all my initial questions, and was available whenever I had a question or concern, and she promptly answer all emails, which included contact information. Alex, the consultant who did the initial measurements, and drew up the contract, was the epitome of professionalism and competence, as he introduced and explained the product and company to me, an outstanding representative and first impression for Gamburd. I am a retired Registered Nurse and Disabled Veteran, and I purchased this stairlift for myself. I initially researched this product and several other stairlift companies, as well as consulted the Consumer organizations, and Bruno is "The" stairlift to choose, and Gamburd is "The" company that outshines all of the rest. I recently called Gamburd to get an estimate on a chairlift for my elderly mother. Very quickly I was given an evening appointment to have one of the staff come by my home. I was impressed first by receiving an email confirmation that included a picture of the person coming to my home. Next I was happy that it was presumably the owner of the company, guessing that his last name was Gamburd. The in home estimate was done in a very professional manner. Israel had his own laptop and printer and was able to give me a printed estimate at that time. As well, Gamburd came in $200 less than the other quote I received. For less money, I was given a better warranty than the competitor. That was a huge bonus and selling point. I was sent an email link that made payments very simple and quick. I hate having checks floating around. Setting up an installation appointment was very easy and within a week of the first point of contact with Gamburd, my mom had her chairlift installed and running just fine. William, the installer, communicated his time of arrival clearly and was on time as expected. Though I wasn't there to see all the work, everything came out very well. My mom is now able to get to her own room after having come home from a nursing facility and staying in a rented hospital bed for one month. This was huge for her recovery and she is overall much happier. Great company! My mother had Gamburd install a Bruno model stairlift more than three years ago, and it's still working just fine. Isreal from Gamburd did an excellent job for my parents' Bruno stair lift; we were very impressed and happy with the overall professionalism and service we received from Gamburd. My parents' chair lift stopped working all of the sudden. We called and Isreal quickly scheduled a time for the next day to come and take a look. It turned out to be a heavy duty job for repairing. The time Isreal was at my parents' house, he was friendly, diligent, very professional, and always with a great attitude no matter what the trouble seemed to pop up. He single handedly replaced the rail and all the electronic parts inside the arm-rest and under the chair; he was able to trouble shoot and figure out exactly what the problems were. Because it was still under warranty, Gamburd didn't charge us anything for all that hard work performed. Just an update to say that if I could give these guys 10 stars I would! I needed 2 stairlifts....(I have a large 3 story house) and the lower one, a very, very tight fit, had a few glitches....my foot kept catching at the turns. This wasn't a huge problem but just annoying and to my surprise, Israel, the owner, (who took over when Ramon left the company) insisted on totally replacing the bottom rail....at no cost to me........and now it is perfect! I'm a demanding customer but they exceeded my expectations (I don't give raves easily!) Gamburd's price, service and courtesy were top of the line and Handicare is a surprisingly nice looking product. read more

Ramon was fantastic! I was moving my grandmother into my home and needed a stair lift. I made appointments with a few different companies. Ramon was my second appointment and I almost immediately knew I was going to go with him. He had great advice, honest input and wasn't trying to sell me on extras just get me to spend more money unnecessarily. He told me important questions I should ask other companies since he knew I was shopping around. He even threw out a few company names that were also good in case I decided to go with another company. One of the other companies he mentioned came after my appointment. They were ok, but not as detailed oriented and genuine as Ramon. Ramon even told the other company that he recommended them to me as an alternative. The team at Gamburd is professional group all the way. From the time Israel Gamburd arranged to come to the house for a consultation, he was very punctual, courteous and good sense of humor. He explained every aspect, options for the chair lift. He also offered a pre-owned option ( When available ). Once we made our decision which was weeks later, Israel kept in touch through email to make sure our questions were answered. We scheduled an installation date a week out. Israel called a few days later to see if we wanted a weekend installation to help speed up getting the chair lift in place so our mother could access the upstairs sooner. On the installation day (SUNDAY), the Tech, Manny made sure everything was done as quickly and efficiently as possible. After the installation, he walked me through the operating procedures and any maintenance steps which was minimal. Yeah, he vacuumed/swept the garage floor, picked up every speck of trash and cleaned up the stairwell. We ran the chair for a week and that allowed a good break-in process. There were 2 minor adjustments that needed attention, but I had not gotten around to calling for a tech to come out. They were not that huge an issue. Israel sent an email checking up on us and I told him about the 2 adjustments after the break-in period. He coordinated scheduling a technician out the following Monday. BTW, Israel was checking in on us on a Saturday. Which he does that all the time. Checks in on his customers, on the weekend. Who else does that? My Mother really likes and appreciates having this lift chair now. I really appreciate the product lines and service that Gamburd provides. Installation happened 5 week after the contract was signed, and the 180 degree three level track was fabricated. The installer William was a personable and fast worker. TOTAL UPSELL! My brother and dad went in to look at stairlifts. Mainly looking at two straight lifts. Salesmen told him that they should get the 400 lb. lift because the 300 lb. really wasn't rated for that. Neither parent is anywhere near 300 pounds. If it's not rated for that, why advertise it that way. Then they were shown a custom made one piece...for double the price, of course. I try to keep my folks from getting scammed but was overruled by my controlling brother. Stairlift was installed a month later. Parents rented a double straight (like they originally looked at) in the meantime. My mom hated the custom and preferred the other. Installers left dark spots all over the recently replaced carpet. Parts started falling off chair within a month. Plastic piece to move the chair popped off and the emt's had to carry my mom downstairs in a modified sling because stairlift wouldn't work and they couldn't find the piece. The stairlift took up half the stairway so they couldn't use a gurney. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy! read more

We recently installed a new Bruno stairlift, purchased from Gamburd, for our Santa Cruz home. My wife and I were in desperate need for a fast, competent installation -- as she was being released from hospital following treatment for a hip injury. Not only is our new Bruno product exceptional, my entire experience with the Gamburd team was most enjoyable. Their use of technology was exceptional and allowed us to find and buy the Bruno more rapidly than any other firm we contacted for bids could have accomplished. In fact, the next fastest bid was for 4 to 6 weeks out! Gamburd completed the entire estimate and installation process in just 1 1/2 business days. Only 15 minutes after I cold-called Gamburd and left a message with their operator, I was called by salesman Israel, who then walked me through Facetime so we could talk face-to-face, and so he could see our stairway and estimate the style and type of lift he recommended. And Facetime allowed me to see the product in real life (demo'd by Israel in his showroom). Additionally, online links that Israel sent me allowed us to see the product in action in a home setting, review the product warranty and negotiate/clarify installation requirements and purchase terms. The same online processes allowed me to arrange for a confirmed installation date, sign the contract and electronically post a deposit -- all in the same afternoon, without the need for a sales person to even come to our home (although I'm sure Israel would have been happy to do so had the need arisen). The install itself was concluded as contracted, just 1 1/2 days after I signed the contract, and final payment was concluded electronically (along with the lien release I requested) immediately following installation. Jose, whose picture was texted before his two-hour arrival window, not only did an installation that was simply flawless, but was completed in less time than originally estimated. We were impressed not only by his friendliness but by his consideration shown in taking care to wear shoe covers and to studiously avoid soiling our white carpets with shoes or tools. As for Israel and the marketing Gamburd team, you folks should be proud! Your use of technology in this fashion is more advanced than I have ever experienced. And I would certainly recommend Gamburd and Bruno to anybody interested in a fast, competent installation of a stairlift product. read more
