The technicians who come out to the home are great. But the gentleman currently in charge of service is very poor. A few years ago it was a woman who would always pick up the phone or call back promptly. The current person never picks up and never returns calls. I have used Lifeway Mobility in the past to install a chair lift some 20 years ago. I was so satisfied with their product and service that I called them again when it was time to update. they did not disappoint. Eric and Tyrone together made the process as trouble free as I had hoped. they removed and hauled away the old lift and installed a new one within a couple of hours. We had a stair lift chair installed a little over a year ago. Our electronically controlled foot rest quit working several days ago. My husband called Lifeway Mobility numerous times and left messages to return his call so that we could get our chair serviced. No one has bothered to return his calls. From the very nice showroom to the installation, everything was and is very professional.

Love the equipment and the technician who installed it was professional and curious . The salesman was also very good . However , I have had two occasions to call the office and the customer service from them is virtually non-existent . I rented the unit for the first 3 months and wanted to purchase it . It took 3 weeks to get a return call and that happened only because I complained to the salesman and he sat on someone until I got a call back . Now as Lifeway Mobility Chicago, I needed an emergency service call, as my Mother-n-law just had total knee replacement surgery, and we needed everything to work smoothly. I'm happy to see that Kirsten took charge and recognized our needs, and saw to it that we were fit in the schedule and rectified the issue with just one service call! I called Bruno who referred me to Lifeway Mobility for general maintenance on my parents mobility chair. It's only two years old so maintenance service was very general. After the representative rescheduled three times she confirmed an appointment for 11:00 I received a call after 12:30 wherein the technician let me know he was on the way and would be there in about 45 minutes. Nice guy it took him about 20 minutes or less to wipe down the outside of the unit with a rough sponge. He then told me the charge was $250.00 Seriously for 20 minutes of wipe. I even gave him some of my sanitizer wipes for little spots of grime. I informed him that when I made the call I was told that the charge was $200.00 which I though was pretty steep since he had nothing to do but wipe of the chair. After several phone calls the call center representative finally answered her phone and what should have been a very general conversation became an argument...She wanted me to give the technician two hundred and fifty dollars to wipe down a chair that's not maintenance......Since I agreed to the $200.0 service call I had cash in hand but the woman was so arrogant and ignorant that I decided to write a check so I would at least have a receipt for this obvious scan when I reported them to Consumer Affairs. I was also told that they would not come out and service our equipment again even I paid over $3,000 or $4000 for the original purchase. The service call was a joke. The technician claimed to have put some kind of grease on the gears but the could not tell me why I was paying $200.00 for him to wipe down the outside of the unit with a wipe or a sponge. Something I do myself at least once or twice a month. I told the technician that I wanted to speak to the owner or the manager because this person was clearly a joke and the $200.00 for the 15 minutes he spent wiping of the outside of the mobility chair was fraudulent services at best. Even after I agreed to pay the technician in cash the call center "gurl" said well I am going to accept your $200.00 but........She went on to say we will not be servicing you again. NO KIDDING. You won't be charging me $200.00 and an extra fifty to wipe off my mobility chair for my 101 year old parent, This is not my first review of Lifeway Mobility but I would encourage seniors get it in writing because there is something pretty damn crocked about there service their billing and their inability to give you a receipt when you pay them in cash. I am going to again attempt to reach out to the manager or owner. I reviewed this company in 2022 when I purchased this chair....It hasn't gotten any better. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for safety rails for someone that has cancer or for anyone who needs assistance for whatever the individuals case might be. I'm so embarrassed -it has been almost 2 years since the company installed a chairlift and a walk in shower for our ancient house. We had rather a rocky start with the lift but eventually the problem was fixed and the lift has been a smooth running god's send for my elderly dad. In addition, the shower installers had to deal with a vastly unlevel floor and still managed to put in the shower. Belated kudos for a job well done. read more

EHLS is by far, the very best company I have ever worked with when it comes to handicap accessible bathroom remodeling! I am a disabled individual with zero use of my legs. I have been this way for eight years. My bathroom is small and has never been handicap accessible so I just figured out workarounds. Along comes EHLS... not only did they take my bathroom from 0% handicap accessible to 100% handicap accessible, they made it drop dead gorgeous! Now this is sometimes hard for a guy to admit, but when they were finished and I was sitting at the vanity just looking around, I started to cry a bit! With the limited amount of space that I had, they somehow enlarged it and made everything just perfect for me! The workers were awesome and the head contractor, Mark, was here almost every day during the two week process reviewing and going over things with me and I am actually going to miss him! If you need a remodel of your bathroom to make it handicapped accessible, this is BY FAR, HANDS DOWN the company to go to! I can promise you that you will not be disappointed with the results! we have been waiting and keep getting put off for a remodel of my elderly aunts bathroom no one is calling us back and we have left several messages. they took the deposit and now will not call back. they said they would be there the first week of jan well, we are now on the 3rd and cant get a call back. Depending on when they call back and if they ever do the job this review may change but so far would not recommend them to anyone. we have requested a call on the start date as she can not use the bathroom as is and need it done by the time she is out of the hospital. How do you leave someone like this? We have requested a call or full refund of the deposit and will go elsewhere Yet no return call. read more
