My experience with you has been wonderful. I am so grateful to Kasia Puchalski my representative,…read moreMaritza from the business office, Johnny, Jerry, and Maria from customer service. Kasia has been meticulous in her handling of my wheelchair needs. Working so closely with me and my doctors from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Blue Cross, Kasia was able to navigate us through a process that can oftentimes be grueling, in an expedient manner. Kasia then worked closely with Johnny to assess exactly what type chair would best suit my needs, from features to material for the seat to the color. All of time that Kasia spent with me was done to make sure that my wheelchair not only met all of physical requirements, comfortability needs, and she even helped me to pick a color that would be cool from a woman's perspective, I may be handicap but I still wanna look hip. Patients Choice was recommended at a time when I needed them most and they truly lived up those recommendations. Patients Choice saved me at a time when a company named Mobility Solutions negligently handled my wheelchair needs and left me for over a year in pain and extreme anxiety. What Mobility Solutions did to me, left me so damaged, broken, and frustrated after having already endured the pain of multiple amputations and a phenomenal number of surgeries that left me as a bilateral amputee. The severity of my depression was so horrible that besides seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist, I required Valium to help my anxiety, and moths of actively attending suicide groups at Northwestern because I felt defeated. I am so thankful that Patients Choice and Kasia were able to help p pick up all the pieces and make sure that I felt whole again. I may see my therapist for many years to deal with the loss of my legs but the fear of where I will sit comfortably and be able move safely in a power wheelchair has been taken care of by Patients Choice. I am so fortunate to have Patients Choice and Kasia working with me. I feel safe, protected, and more than anything I feel cared for like part of a family. They are experts at making everyone feel special, welcome, and they go above and beyond without asking for anything in return. ~ACE & BRUNO

Believe the many 1 star reviews and stay away from patients choice…read more There are better options (any option is better really). Our rep Andrea lost paperwork, missed appointments, wouldn't return calls. Tried to give them benefit of doubt - stuff happens but a completely unreasonable business to deal with. Finally gave up and went to another vendor. Never did get the wheelchair.

I was driving down Dempster on Friday night, and out of the corner of my eye I saw a sign that said…read more"Wheelchair Servicing." I told my partner we were going to see what that was, and I turned the car around, pulled into the small retail mall, and at the end of the mall was a business called, "Mobility City." We went in, and I was greeted by Geoff, the owner, and his service man who works on the wheelchairs. We talked a bit on what needed to be done on my wheelchair. The service man took it to the back of the store, steam cleaned it, tightened up the "wiggle," and replaced the two arm rests. A really great improvement for a tune up! Feels light new!! I was really impressed by his customer skills, and the eagerness he had for getting me back my wheelchair in tiptop shape! Quite by accident I found this place, and I'm very glad I did, because I did not think that there were any mobility Wheelchair stores in the area. The store is a modest size, and deals with a few different types of mobility services, including mobile wheelchairs WHICH ONE CAN RENT if need be! I am so glad I found this shop. The repair prices were decent, the replacement parts were affordable, and he was able to look at his inventory to see if other parts on my wheelchair could be replaced. I heartily recommend anyone who has mobility assisted devices to seriously check him out. I was very pleased with his service, and I now know if I need any parts for my wheelchair, he's right there to help.

I purchased a Pride Jazzy 27X powered wheelchair in February, 2026 from Geoff at Midwest for $3100…read morecash including tax. The sales receipt notes a $100 discount "for nondelivery" (we took it with us) and a $567 "cash discount." It was a demo but essentially like new due to its being a recently released model from the Pride Corp. Also included in the selling price was a cupholder (that he needed to order) and "complimentary in-store labor" for one year. Two and one-half months and one inquiry later, the cupholder has still not arruved. Several positives were experienced while shopping. Geoff has a very nicely configured and stocked store. There is plenty of room for customers to test-drive the various powered chairs. Geoff did not at any point pressure us to buy a chair. He knew his merchandise extremely well and pointed out pros and cons of each of the various chairs we considered. Several helpful suggestions were given regarding the chair we purchased. Finally, Geoff is quite likeable and has excellent people and selling skills. My only issue with Geoff was his pricing. The chair's tagged price was $3699, a full $600 above what the same chair is selling for on Amazon, at other local dealers, and at many on-line dealers. I compared Geoff's price on another chair with those of a couple of other dealers and again found Midwest to be the highest price. I was able to buy for below Geoff's asking price because I paid cash and I knew in advance what the chair was selling for elsewhere. My advice to potential customers is to look but don't buy before you check prices at other dealers and Amazon, which may be lower than Midwest's. Then, if need be, you will be in a much better position to negotiate the purchase price of your mobility device from Midwest.
