He explained the pros and cons of the fabric or shade options that we were considering. We felt like we are getting opinion from an experienced friends instead of a high pressure salesman. Pricing is pretty good from what we heard from other vendors. The installation team has done a great job in setting up our curtain, zebra shade, light filtering shade combination for our home. We have to juggle some of the choices to fit our budget. And Phil has been very instrumental in that regards as well. He is very open with his pricing and encourage us to explore different options e.g. initially we were planning to use a single layer of sheer fabric as curtain in the great room / dinner room. At the end, we made the trade off of getting a real curtain for the great room area and using light filter roller shade in the dinning room with some small additional cost. The change allow us to stay within our budget but yet getting the most important items we wanted. I was reminded of our great service recently because we accidentally broke the battery pack on one of our sliding door blinds and needed a new one--so we called Doug and he fixed it posthaste! Our house has 11 sliding glass doors and 25 other windows. BDIY blinds was recommended by a friend, so we had Doug come to measure all 36 windows. Since they have no showroom (which helps to keep prices low), we chose our fabric and styles from a huge stack of sample books and got an estimate. Our order came about a week later and Adam and Jeff installed them in a few hours. Adam programmed the four motorized blinds on our downstairs sliders and we were all set. The price and service (along with the HD lifetime warranty) provided by BDIY were unbeatable. I've rarely seen anyone take such care and pride in their work as Doug and Adam. They are perfectionists! We love our blinds, even after a few years of use. We had a few minor issues with some of the blinds, but all we had to do was call and either Doug or Adam came right over and fixed the problem right away! I can't say enough good things about the products or the service. HD blinds are great, and the continued service provided by BDIY is unbeatable. I can't recommend them highly enough! A tip I wish we had had when we were getting the blinds: Get motors and the Powerview hub so that you can tell Alexa to raise or lower the blinds or set up a scene--like raise or lower the blinds a certain time, etc. We got the motorized blinds on some sliders but wish we'd done it on more of them that we use frequently. We didn't do the hub or app, but we plan to upgrade those.
