This is the second time we have had flooring in our house redone, but our first time with Expert Flooring Solutions. I stopped by their location and was greeted by Frank. I told him what I was looking for and what I was uninterested in. He helped me and answered all my questions then scheduled a later date and time to come to my house and measure the areas being redone. After measuring, he sent the quote over that night. We had our carpeted stairs and the vinyl flooring in our common areas, hallway and bedroom replaced with carpet and new baseboards put in. It took approximately 2 days. We live in a Lennar home and wanted to change out the carpet in three bedrooms and closets to match the luxury vinyl plank floors in the rest of the house. The flooring that the builder put in has been discontinued so we checked with a couple of places to try to find a close match. We went to Expert Flooring Solutions and showed them one of the planks that we were tearing to match. Ron helped us and we scheduled an appointment for him to come out the next day. When Ron arrived he brought a new sample that we had not seen the day before. He had continued to look for a close match after we left. When he laid the new sample down on our existing floor we were thrilled to see how close it came to matching, We tried it in different rooms and it was the best we could have hoped for. No one, other than us, will ever notice the difference. When Ron sent us the cost, it was $2,000 less than another company had quoted us. We were very surprised. He also included a veteran discount, and we did not have to pay anything up front, We paid when the job was done and we were satisfied. The price included taking out the old carpet and hauling it, and moving the furniture from the rooms where the new flooring went. The crew that showed up on the appointed date and right on time. They were very courteous and professional. They did two rooms in one day and the third room was finished by 11 a.m. on the second day. Everything looks great. I had flooring installed by express flooring and was very happy with the first experience however I had a leak in my shower that seeped under the floors and now because this area is less than 100 sq feet the company is not interested in replacing the flooring. This company did such an amazing job on my floors (and 3 staircases)! I replaced all carpet with LVP flooring in my house. I obtained 6 quotes and this is one of few companies offering lifetime warranty on labor (most companies offer lifetime warranty on the flooring itself but only 1 year for labor). Also, no pressure sales and car salesman tactics, unlike some companies that came out for a quote. The staff that installed the floors was very professional, diligent, and detailed. Frustrating Experience Despite Good Carpet Quality I recently hired Expert Flooring Solutions for a carpet replacement. While the carpet itself looks good and the craftsmanship seems solid, the overall experience was incredibly frustrating. Once again the good, the carpet looks good, and the quality of the installation itself seems fine. Certainly better than my carpets which I had for 17 years, it was time for a change. The Bad, almost everything else was a hassle, I was guided that installation team works one room then on to the next. Thus the previous night I prepared what I thought was appropriate. The morning of I was informed by the installation crew that they can not move forward as they need to work on multiple rooms at a time. I wish this was clearly communicated prior to the installation day as I would have been more prepared. I was reassured multiple times before committing to the project that their installation team was able to move my cumbersome sleep number bed then lo and behold when the crew arrived here they had no idea how to sleep number worked. After quite a bit of delays and an escalation to the sales team, they were able to move forward with the disassembly of the sleep number, but that didn't come without a lot of anxious moments. I also needed help with a big desk in my office. The installer said that it's OK to have the desk in the room and they can move it from one side to the other during the installation. Although, in previous conversations with my sales rep, he informed me it's best practice to have the room empty to have the carpet stretch during insulation. Also, the crew stated they only handle 'big' furniture. I was prepared to handle my personal belongings and other sensitive valuables. However, I was told in advance that the crew would handle 'all' the furniture, not the case. Lastly, during the second and last day installation my internet suddenly died during a work zoom meeting. I checked the Cox website via my phone and there were no service outages. Coincidentally the crew was working in the room where I had my modem, and where my Internet fiber is located. Now I can't fully blame them because I didn't know what happened (but it's highly suspicious). The following day, the Cox technician had to replace a portion of the wire where the crew had been earlier. I will say that the staff and ownership were very attentive to my needs during the time and communicated effectively. Unfortunately, that doesn't take away from my overall experience. They did offer some compensation unfortunately that doesn't take away from the annoyance and inconveniences I had to deal with during this project. It's just disappointing that the company couldn't provide a smoother experience. I'll pay for the service, but I can't say I'm happy about it. I don't know if this was an isolated incident, but buyer beware. read more
