The two women in this office obviously do not like working with the public. Once again, I was the only person in this location who was a patient, I was told I have to wait 10 minutes, asked for my address across the waiting room, I gave the street address and was told "Again". Seriously? Across the waiting room? . Later another woman arrived and was greeted with the same indifference. So, here I sit. Waiting. If I have any additional blood work for this particular doctor, I will go to Quest. I cannot believe two different locations of this lab have such a low level of customer service. I am dreading getting my blood taken here. 15 minutes later and I am still waiting. Dare I bolt and make a run for it? Unfortunately no, I have X-rays do do down the hallway. I was finally taken in the "back", no room for my small purse. Thankfully I'm chatty and didn't notice the 6 plus vials of blood being taken. The tech was pleasant. Be sure to go to Quest!

There was one person in front of me and there was 2 techs I literally didn't wait longer than a couple minutes, Denise did my bloodwork she was very gentle she also checked me in and was very kind. The place is clean and plenty of parking. I would go here if I were in the area again. Very nice workers here and I was in and out I love that. Oh and I dislike needles very much- I made Denise aware of that and she spoke to me the whole time without even scaring me or hurting me.

Service was quick and I was in and out. The nurse was good at her job. My only complaint is that it's in the basement of a big building and there is no cell reception ( not their fault) but they have an online check in when you get there. that I was unable to use because of no service. It was clean and quick for routine medical tests.

I have never sat more than 10 minutes in the waiting room and 2 of the 3 phlebotomists I have seen there are exceptionally skilled at dealing with my tiny veins which are difficult for some to access. They don't even leave bruises.

The place is practically empty and dingy. I walked in and the phlebotomist was sitting at a desk talking with a person about football. He ignored me for sometime and continued with his conversation for another 15 minutes. I went back to the window to make sure he knew a patient was waiting. He then yelled, no exaggeration, take a seat. So I spent 1/2 hour listening to this obnoxious unprofessional person, and realize I would not let him near my arm with a needle. Go to Pontiac Avenue in Cranston, friendly, clean and professional, they are 5-minutes and a world apart.

Prior to drawing my blood, the girl was around the corner coughing/hacking. Then she wiped her nose…read morew/her hand. After putting on gloves, she then couldn't seem to find a vein on my left side. Then she tries the right. Never had an issue before. Just after she inserts the needle, she calls over another girl to help her b/c she moved the needle (which I was getting stabbed w/on the inside). The other girl had to help w/getting the needle back to where it needed to be and putting the vile on to collect the blood. They never took the rubber band off the whole time while saying the blood is coming out slowly. Meanwhile, there's blood dripping on the floor. After all that, two of the tests couldn't be done b/c the blood was hemolyzed, which means the blood was compromised either when it was drawn or when it was transported and couldn't be used. This is the 2nd time a Lifespan lab has screwed up my samples so my tests couldn't be done.

One was sitting in the lab chair having a conversation with the other behind a desk. I pulled a number, sat down and waited. Waited for almost 15 min. I was the ONLY patient in the lab. I was never called. I left and went to my doctor's office in the next building over to request a printed request for blood work. The receptionist tried to get me to go back to the lab. I steadfastly refused. I was handed the printout. I drove to Quest Labs, was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I found out East Side Labs charges more and Quest is the preferred lab for my insurance. Good, because I will never go back.

With my medical issues, I'm regularly getting tests done, such as blood drawn. So it's important I find a solid, respectable lab with moving. The two ladies were so sweet and it was an intern who drew the blood. Didn't even feel it and she was better than most phlebotomists I've seen. I was in and out within minutes, then walked across the street to my fav cafe and got a bite. Absolutely perfect. Two thumbs way up.

Natick Rd. Same building as Concentra Urgent Care. No appointment necessary. The entrance is under the drive through portico facing Macy's (sort of). Nice to have the overhead protection to drop off someone on a rainy day. There is plenty of parking in front of the building. As soon as you enter, straight ahead a few steps lead down. If you need to use the elevator, it's to the right of the steps. The waiting area for the lab is at the bottom of the steps and to the left. Take a number by the check-in window and have a seat. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. When your number is called, hand your lab slip, ID and insurance card to the receptionist. Reception will log you in, be sure they have all your insurance info in the system and add the ordered tests which will print labels for phlebotomy staff. A phlebotomist will come to the door and call your first name when it's your turn. During my first visit a student phlebotomist did my blood draw under the supervision of the staff phlebotomist. She did a great job and I was in and out quickly. The room where they do the draws is brightly lit and very clean. Staff were all very friendly and the receptionist really helped me out with insurance. If this is a convenient location for you, it seems like a good choice. Now, let's see if my insurance carrier agrees.

I was referred to Dr. L'Europa for a nerve conduction study and EMG by Dr. Hubbard over at RI Hand…read more& Orthopaedic Center. I arrived Friday about 25 minutes in advance to fill out paperwork & when finished, I was promptly brought into a cheerful, brightly lit examining/testing room. The RNP (who I THINK was Kathleen: I really, really wish I could recall her name!) was amazingly sweet and went over everything I should anticipate from both exams. Dr. L'Europa popped in briefly to quickly feel around my wrist before the RNP took over for the nerve conduction study. She was completely professional and caring while performing the procedure (which, I'll be honest, wasn't painful in the least. It felt like a TENS unit on super low) and had a great conversation with me to pass the time while doing so. Afterwards, the doctor came back in who then performed the oh-so-scary EMG. ....this test literally lasted all of two minutes and despite all the horror stories easily read online and by word of mouth, it was pain-free. The "worst" sensation were slight pricks where the needles were inserted however he was so fast and gentle it was over before I could sneeze. I 100% recommend Dr. L'Europa for those needing EMG/nerve testing. After having a brief conversation with him, as well as research online, I'm convinced that the individuals who were literally tortured during the testing, unfortunately were 'cared' for by inexperienced technicians or medical students instead of the actual doctor. It's also worth adding that their facilities are so pretty and welcoming! Much different than intimidating, white walled examination rooms.
