Natick Rd. Same building as Concentra Urgent Care. No appointment necessary. The entrance is under the drive through portico facing Macy's (sort of). Nice to have the overhead protection to drop off someone on a rainy day. There is plenty of parking in front of the building. As soon as you enter, straight ahead a few steps lead down. If you need to use the elevator, it's to the right of the steps. The waiting area for the lab is at the bottom of the steps and to the left. Take a number by the check-in window and have a seat. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. When your number is called, hand your lab slip, ID and insurance card to the receptionist. Reception will log you in, be sure they have all your insurance info in the system and add the ordered tests which will print labels for phlebotomy staff. A phlebotomist will come to the door and call your first name when it's your turn. During my first visit a student phlebotomist did my blood draw under the supervision of the staff phlebotomist. She did a great job and I was in and out quickly. The room where they do the draws is brightly lit and very clean. Staff were all very friendly and the receptionist really helped me out with insurance. If this is a convenient location for you, it seems like a good choice. Now, let's see if my insurance carrier agrees.

And whether it's a mosquitoes hypopharynx or a human's needle, having blood taken from my body is never a particularly pleasant experience. Fortunately Lifespan Laboratories makes it as quick and painless as possible. This Lifespan Lab is small but very efficient and quick. The people working here are very good at sucking out blood from humans and even through the waiting room might be crowded at times, things go reasonably quickly. Just give the tech the paperwork, stick your arm out and in goes the needle and out comes the blood. Not a whole lot of conversation but then I would rather the technician concentrate on the needle rather than engage in meaningless small talk. The lab opens at 8AM so you can get your blood removed nice and early before you're completely awake. I can't say that it's painless and pleasant but at least it's quick and professional as possible.

That is right, you the homeowner, business owner, worker, etc may need a laboratory and there is one right down the street! Located right off the busy Jefferson Blvd in Warwick, this lab offers testing for water, soil, air, lead, asbestos, and more!! So say your water taste funny or you are concerned about lead paint or that you soil may be contaminated...oh dear! Call RIAL (that is what we call it), and they can help you. I could go on and on with all that they offer, but mostly want you all to know that there are business like this out there that offer great services, great customer service, and fair prices. Yeah, I'm biased because I worked there, but seriously there are great people there and services that many people don't even know about. One was sitting in the lab chair having a conversation with the other behind a desk. I pulled a number, sat down and waited. Waited for almost 15 min. I was the ONLY patient in the lab. I was never called. I left and went to my doctor's office in the next building over to request a printed request for blood work. The receptionist tried to get me to go back to the lab. I steadfastly refused. I was handed the printout. I drove to Quest Labs, was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I found out East Side Labs charges more and Quest is the preferred lab for my insurance. Good, because I will never go back.

The office is very small overall but cozy. There is one woman who works here and she is splendid. Extremely nice and professional. She used a needle one size down from the one she normally would use in order for me to not feel it. You know, I didn't! I was very thankful! She also took the time to explain the glucose test process. The office is very clean and well kept. There is some reading material, but nothing that interested me so my suggestion is to bring something to read if you think you will be awhile. My ONLY reason for the 4 stars is because they are not open weekends. It's a walk in & appointment so those that get angry, make an appointment.
