Only had it a month but so far-- LOVING this system! Did the research and this really was the best long-term option I found. Drink from any tap, showers feel better and no longer need to worry about build up / corrosion on all shower heads, faucets etc. Installation process was super easy-- I had to do nothing. And the guys were so nice, professional, courteous. I only have so much room in my garage and I really wanted it out of the way, and the installation guys really worked hard to make me happy. When I bought the system, was led to believe the system was maintenance free...not quite the story...The system works great, however, the scaling unit has to be replaced now at the 5 year point (previously was 4 years. The cyst filter has to be replaced ever 2 years (800+ $) and eventually the filtration unit, which is good for 2.2M gallons and designed for a family use of 4 persons/day..if you don't have that many individuals in the home, shoudl last much longer (plus you can check the chlorine (with a pool tester) to see it is still filtering. So this initial sales pitch doesn't cover the costs over time. It's still a very good system..but, think the sales pitch should be more up front. read more

Livermore water is not the best so this has helped with skin and hair and taste. We had a traditional water softener but the salt was not helping our plants. This is much better for our pets, plants and family. The water still gets some of the smells from the city water from time to time, but it dissipates as the faucet runs. They removed my very old semi-broken pressure regulator and replaced it. They used new copper tubing and all. After noticing a crusty buildup on glass containers holding plants, I contacted the company to see about getting the system back in use. We bought the two tank system 10 years ago when we moved into our brand new home. We have had constant build up of calcium and brown crud. It pretty much doesn't do anything. I called and they said this was normal. They said no maintenance which might be true but they don't tell you, you will have to replace the tank every five years for an ever increasing price. Thousands! Since it doesn't descale I'm not sure it purifies either. It says nowhere on the website what it purifies? Chlorine, fluoride...? Would not recommend. read more

I've had the main filter installed about 10 years ago. The problem was massive amounts of calcium deposits everywhere. I called Lifesource and they had this additional filter called a "Scale Solver". I asked why it wasn't installed back then. It's new technology and didn't have such a thing. I'm hoping this does the trick.
