Anybody can do Pilates, have you heard that one before? Seems unlikely right? As a 40 something quadriplegic person, I can vouch that it is actually quite true. Tucked in a cozy room at Samskara Yoga Studio Close to route 28 and Waxpool Road in Ashburn, is a wonderland of Pilates machines and equipment overseen by the lovely Olena Kolomiyets, Pilates instructor extraordinaire. If she can tailor a work out for me, imagine what she can do for you! She is extremely knowledgeable, encouraging, and so much fun to work with. She will empower you to feel strength you never knew you had, and coax movement out of you that you didn't think was possible. Do yourself a favor, and book a session with her immediately. You deserve it, and you will not regret it!

If the music slaps, the workout is so much better. Every class leaves me sore in the best way, feeling like a total boss, and already plotting my next visit. I'm almost at 50 classes and it doesn't get easier. I'm always pushing myself to amplify, and let me tell you -- it makes it easier if you strength train, but it's still hard AF when you actually have to slow down and have mind muscle connection. Classes do fill up pretty quickly so you have to get it in there to schedule as soon as they open up. Try it for a great workout or an addition to your weekly rotation. Solidcore, you've got me hooked -- and my glutes are thanking you.

The class was at 8:15pm on a Friday; we did the Signature50: Full Body, which I believe was a more advanced class. Although it was a good workout, it was hard. The instructor was nice and guided people as needed. The music was great and on point, but we couldn't hear her over the loud music. Also, she had us move to the middle reformer machines, I would have felt more comfortable at the end. This is truly a great workout and targets muscles with smaller movements that compound workouts miss. Upon signing up for the class, an email and text message are sent with information, including the code to enter. They also mention that there are charges if canceling or no-showing. They have solidcore merchandise available for purchase with the card on file. They also provide items such as hair ties, bobby pins, hear buds (if the music is too loud), etc. The customer service is average, there was one person at the front and she wasn't very engaging. The business is located on the lower level of a larger building. There is free parking in front of and around the business. There is also a parking garage with some free parking (check the signs!). Would I return? absolutely.

If you aren't in shape, don't be afraid. The instructors are good about showing you how to adapt until you are strong enough to do something. So much of the foot and leg work will strengthen tiny muscles that prevent instability and injuries--it's a must for women of a certain age. It can seem like it's hard to book classes when you first use the app, but the waitlist really does get you in most of the time. I have a complicated membership because it's split with an incentive from my insurance company, but each month the team irons it out for me and I get all my classes in. I have also asked about COVID protocols and their upgraded HVAC system, daily fogging, and cleaning after each class has kept me coming back without a problem. I just wish a few classes were held on weekend afternoons because I have never gotten into a weekend morning class. There's high demand.

If you need to contact them via email good luck. They have yet to reply to an email and the front desk can never answer a question when you call - they say they will have someone call you back and they don't. I once had a class canceled and I was not alerted until I actually showed up. Infuriating. Worst customer service - go somewhere else if you want to be treated like a paying customer.
