You say your company always "works on good faith." My experience is that is not true. What a terrible company and I hope others who see my comments here don't use your less-than-poor services and awful business model. You need other respond to my comments here. It has been a waste of a lot of money to have Garcia Patios do 3 parts of a yard project: add 6x6s…read morearound a new Intex above ground pool (16x8ft) where I had to dig out two sides to make level in the gravel yard, add a ramp and platform into the pool, and 4x4s to hold back dirt along the fence that used to be wood holding back the higher grass side. I said I'd pay for 2 extra 4x4s from Home Depot since they had misguessed how many would be needed - but never expected to be charged $490 extra for them (& they said they got 4 more)! The ramp was dangerous and would not support the weight of anyone or multiple dogs on it. They had no idea what they are doing. I had to tell the 1st crew over and over to not use the above ground pool's frame as a support for it. It is meant to move with the water and is not made to support weight on it. I had to go out several times to tell them that because they would agree and then go back to using the pool frame to support the ramp. Then the platform they angle cut a 2x4 on each side as the only support. When they had that plan I said that would never support the weight. The foreman said he would send the guys to get braces for underneath. I assumed that had been done - metal support braces - but saw once they left that even a single dog on it, it bobbed up and down. I sent pictures to Garcia. He after no shows, finally sent a 2nd crew to fix it. They did add supports to the ramp portion in the end - after arguing with them because they said the few screws on the side of the posts was enough to support the ramp and weight on it! The ramp doesn't sit on the support posts, just screwed to the sides at a single post point. But the 2nd crew lead again tried to use the pool frame to support the ramp. He kept telling me "metal, very strong" as he tapped the pool frame!!! Anyone with an above ground pool knows the frame is not to support a deck on it. Not to mention it would ruin the liner. I had more heated arguments showing him the frame moves - expands and contracts depending on the water movement and insisting he not put any wood leaning on the pool frame. He gave in finally and modified what he did (removed the old few screws that held the entire ramp up and replaced with a single large screw). He refused to fix the platform not being able to handle weight. His other guy would walk up the ramp showing they reinforced it but when I said step onto the platform, he wouldn't. He knew it wouldn't support the weight. The lead just laughed at me every time I asked him if the platform could support his weight or mine. He would just say "I think it will be ok for dog". Add multiple large dogs equals a human's weight. He ignored me when I kept saying that angled cut 2x4 is where the weight load bearing point is - that platform they built is supported only by a partial board with a screw in it. More fighting about that. He added wood to the pool end of that compromised piece so from the side you would think it was reinforced but it is just more weight at the end of the platform - you have to look underneath to see that little 2" section with a screw is all that supports the entire platform over the pool. Nothing was done to support the weight at the pivot point until a lot more arguing and then he added a larger screw into that pivot point. Whether that helps or hurts time will tell. They already had several empty screw holes in all the wood. This big screw may mean with the other empty holes, even less strong wood in that narrow cut piece to actually support the weight of a human or multiple dogs. This is going to break under weight. The crew didn't care and left. Garcia charges a ton for simple projects and then can't complete them correctly. My friend and her dogs came the next day, after I showed her underneath, she wouldn't let her dogs use the pool. I didn't blame her as it's not worth a dog or person being hurt due to shoddy building of it.

I had one stone come loose right after our last snow and I contacted David about it. He sent someone out in less than a week to repair it. And recently, I contacted them to do a spring clean-up, redo a garden with the addition of a retaining wall, and to install stone steppers on a hill. From start to finish, it was professionalism all the way. David was very prompt in putting the proposal together and after I agreed with the terms, he got me on the schedule for work to be done in less than 3 weeks. The team was extremely nice, courteous, prompt. I would highly recommend this company.

He did not give me a design. So I did my own sketch and (foolishly) still hired the company. Despite following all aftercare directions, more than half of the plants failed. I started investigating and found that the crew installed plants with the plastic plant tags buried in the ground with the plant. Mulch used by the company was infested with a nasty fungi that took a lot of time this spring to get rid of. There really was no followup to speak of. The rep said he would share with the crew supervisor that the mulch had a fungus attached to it. Lisa, their administrative person, was very professional and on top of things. I have nothing but good things to say about her. But we are now $3,000 in debt for a poorly executed landscaping job. It makes me never want to hire another landscaping company. I am a gardener and could have done a better job myself and saved a lot of money.

I was really surprised last when they agreed to come out to my house which is probably over 1 1/2 hours away from their location. I am sure they lost a lot of money by offering the groupon and were overwhelmed by the work but Bill and Pete were always courteous and helpful.

Finally he got back to me to say we were outside of their geographic scope and the job was outside of the scope of their services. They wasted a week of my time even though they clearly knew the location and type of job involved up front. If they can't even be straightforward about this, I would hate to think about their customer service once you actually hire them.

Samco was one of the few companies to respond when I sent out inquiries recently about having my…read moredriveway (which was about 50+ years old) replaced. After some email contact, Sam Jr. and I got in touch, and he came out to give an estimate. Despite the age of the driveway, he said it was in decent condition and said there were 2 options. I could resurface the driveway at a cost of about $4.50 a square foot, or we could replace the driveway at an original cost of $7.00 a square foot. We went over the pros and cons of each option, and it made more sense (given the age of the driveway) to fully replace it. When he gave me the written estimate, he had knocked a bit of the cost off, and it was down to about $6.10 a square foot. He knew I had some other contractors scheduled, and was polite about it. Later that evening, he gave me a call, and since they were going to be in the area on a job, he was able to get the price down to about $5.00 a square foot. At that point, I jumped on the deal, as that price was only a minimal amount more than the resurfacing would have cost. Sam and the team showed up on time the day of the appointment and went over things one last time. Their work was professional and quick. They take care to ensure straight edges, and that cracks (such as between the garage, porch, and sidewalk and the driveway were filled in. They also elevated the driveway a touch as the grass line was higher that the original driveway. But there is still plenty of slope for the driveway as well. We got some strong storms last night (and overnight), but the driveway was bone-dry this morning, instead of the usual puddles and lakes that would form after a storm on the old driveway. I would peek out at them as they were working, and Sam was always fully involved working on something, including getting down on his hands and knees when needed to check a spot or correct something. Their clean up was just as thorough and professional, and Sam gave me all the information needed for letting the driveway cure given the hot days we've been having. All in all, I'm highly satisfied with the job they did, and would highly recommend them for any residential paving need.

Victor came out and conducted a garage attic inspection using a tall ladder ceiling hatch. He didn't enter the lighted attic but just did a visual inspection using a flashlight. After his inspection, Victor claimed one side of my roof needed an asphalt roofing patch. What he didn't tell me was that, five to six feet from his attic ladder inspection, was an extremely obvious water pipe leak that had created black fungus on nearby wood. So obvious you could easily view without a flashlight. So what we have here is deceiving a possible customer by telling him he has a roofing leak when, in reality, a plumber was needed to correct the interior water pipe leak. Thus, my one-star rating, which actually should be lower.
