They did the demolition and then it took weeks to get them to remove the hazardous debris. They finally removed the debris and we proceeded to move forward with phase 2, the acquisition of materials. After payment no materials and after many calls, no response. The GM, Chris Fischer, with whom we worked with on the scope of work and estimates, told us he no longer works for the company. We contacted MD and their license is suspended, they do not occupy space at the address given, and we are moving forward with a formal complaint and lawsuit. Save yourself the loss and headache.

We were dealing with Jack, the owner, who initially responded; but after taking our deposit, he stopped answering our calls completely. We tried following up multiple times with no luck. Eventually, we had our admin office call on our behalf, and they actually picked up, gave a date to be on-site, and then, again, didn't show up. After that, they started ignoring our admin's calls too. Then on October 1, a random person called us saying someone would be at the site on October 2 or 3. When we pushed back, saying this was the third time we were promised a date, the caller admitted they had no idea about our project; they were just told to call and say someone would show up. Unsurprisingly, no one came, and since then, we've been completely ghosted again. We now have no choice but to hire a different company, which is delaying our own business operations and impacting our clients. After checking Yelp, we discovered this company has done the same thing to others, taking deposits and not following through. We feel scammed and are demanding a full refund of our $4,500 deposit. He also suggested we add a curb where our front yard is higher than the slab. The work was done in two days (including breaking up unexpected extra layers of asphalt), and then Alfonso came out on a Sunday to place soil, straw and grass seed over the drain line. The price was very fair and everyone on the crew was professional, courteous and dedicated to their craft. We are so happy we chose Al's Construction!
