This is an excellent gym. Our family signed up at the Las Colinas location. While the Las Colinas location is nice, it lacks basketball courts. I brought my son to this location (we have a family membership) and he was not allowed on the basketball courts because he is 8 years old. I contacted to General Manager Tricia and she remedied this right away. He is allowed as long as I accompanied him. Overall, this is a nice club. It has plenty of weights, machines, pool, and basketball courts. Some of the reviews have been subpar because it is not as fancy as other Lifetime Gyms. But this gym is less packed and has more weight and machine equipment than some of the fancier counterparts. I often drive further to this location. read more

Have been a member since 2015. The gym is okay but not enough to warrant a massive increase since 2020. I started out paying $50 per month then after Covid it jumped to $70, $100, $111, now it's $123. Wouldn't mind so much but I am paying double for the same thing, if not worse. The machines are old and essentially hand me downs from the Plano, Frisco, and Las Colinas clubs. This location never gets any new equipment. All the new equipment goes to the nicer clubs and Addison gets the equipment those clubs are replacing. Furthermore, when a machine breaks down it will literally take months to fix. By months, I mean 4-5 months sometimes. I had the same step mill (stair machine) collapse underneath me twice almost trapping my leg inside the machine. Quick thinking saved me both times or else I could have snapped my leg like a twig. Some of the stair machines act possessed. You set the machine at a certain activity level and it randomly speeds up and down when it wants to. One day the machine works and another it doesn't. People are leaving the club for nicer ones because the higher ups at lifetime don't care. They refuse to invest any money into the place, opting instead to raise our rates to fund other clubs or expansion. So essentially, I am paying much more so someone at another club can enjoy the experience that I desire? Million dollar question is why haven't I left? Time. I live and work five minutes from the gym. With my hectic work schedule, driving across town after work through traffic to get an hour and a half workout during the week is just not feasible. If they go up on their rates anymore, I will just switch time and traffic be dammed. Truth is the higher ups in Minnesota don't care. They just see profit and losses. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out if you invest in the club, more people will come. At this rate, the club will be empty and it will have to shut down which is maybe what they want. Facility was ok at best. Expensive for what it is. The one star is for cancelling. They make it so difficult to cancel and the underhanded subtle things they do to make it highly inconvenient: Can't cancel over the phone, have to do it in person or on their app. They say it's for security reasons. Please be serious. Don't have the app? Have to get it. Takes you to a browser (not joking) to relogin. Then you can't cancel for at least 30 days. It's just generally an insulting, time wasting, and shady practice. Retain customers because you're good not because you give them the runaround to cancel. Do better. read more

The equipment is clean, new and cool has technical features. For some reason the women's showers had a foul smell. This location does not have any toiletries available such as mouth wash, cotton balls, makeup remover towels, shaving razors, deodorant, and hair spray that my usual location provides in the women's locker room. The crowd seems to be older and I was approached by a two men during my 45 minute visit that wanted to make small talk. They were not rude or anything and only wanted to socialize. If you're a younger woman and don't want that kind of attention or interruption then I would just avoid this location or pull your hoodie up and keep your head down. We have been members for several years now. During Covid shutdown, they didn't charge fees. They work to communicate programs at our space. Staff reaches out about interesting classes for my son. We have been doing swim lessons for years and enjoy the coaches and manager. Easy to access the site, cafe provides a variety of options. Bronze Club location with Gold Club service. I visited this LT Fitness during a Dallas visit. Definitely a smaller location than my home gym but certainly gets the job done in comparable elite fitness club fashion. I won't bother with what they don't offer and tell ya what they do: Life Cafe, basketball court, indoor pool, sauna, towel service, women's sanctuary inside the locker room, tv's, private studio room, secure lockers, kids club, classes, full length mirrors, cardio machines for days and all the weight equipment needed to get a great pump. *this is just a review for the studio classes* Truly truly truly the BEST yoga classes I have ever attended in my life and I've been to studios all over LA and Dallas for years. Idk what they teach the teachers here but the caliber and expertise of the instructors here are top notch. I've always been a casual yogi but since coming here to Life Time my practice and spirituality has grown. The teachers are all about going inward, dropping the ego, and focusing on your breath. I never feel that how they teach is inauthentic like some experiences I've had, where instructors just focus on spiritual "buzzwords" and don't provide depth or meaning to what message they're trying to convey. I've also noticed that all of the teachers are very knowledgeable on physiology and what your body is actually doing, which helps create imagery or visuals to deepen the postures and connect to your body. I think since yoga has gotten very commercialized, the number of studios is so over saturated now and there is a real spectrum of the types of classes you will get when you enter a studio. Never could I have imagined that yoga classes offered at a GYM!!! could provide me with what Life Time has offered me. The gym and other fitness classes are great too, space is very clean, staff is attentive and friendly, and I feel happy after I leave. I am gonna go as much as I can before I leave the DFW area. Let me start off by saying, this two star review is based upon other lifetime clubs, and not your standard lifetime. I was in Dallas for business. I have been to several lifetime clubs throughout the country and can say with certainty, this lifetime location is very subpar. No shaving cream, no razors, no lap, pool, no pickle ball, courts, shampoo, but no conditioner, to just list a few. Bathroom towel supplies are not replenished. In general , gym is kept dirty; again, this is just in relation to other Lifetime locations. I was told by the staff that I should've gone to the Plano Dallas location. " That is what you're used to..." they said. Just like many of the big luxury hotels have lower level offshoots, e.g. Courtyard, Express, Fairfield, Spring Hill, etc., so should Lifetime to give warning, especially when another club is so close. If this were a 24 hour fitness, this location would get five stars, but compared to other lifetime facilities, two stars at best. read more

While I understand that there are higher tier clubs within the Lifetime chain, that doesn't excuse poor cleaning practices. The locker room specifically was really gross - there were many towels strewn all about the floor, benches, and shower area. Another reviewer mentioned this is one of the best ones in the DFW area, and I don't agree. Both the Colleyville and the Alliance locations are much nicer and I've never seen any towels or messes like I did at this location. My review is based solely on covid-19 protocol. I belong to both LA Fitness and lifetime, and although Lifetime is a nicer gym, I find that masks seem to be completely optional here. I've brought it to the attention of staff numerous times, but I have yet to see it enforced once. People walk around with masks below the nose, or off completely--even when staff is cleaning or trainers are on the floor. If you're even slightly concerned about CDC guidelines, steer clear of this locale. * for what it's worth, I've also written to the general manager to no avail. Totally disregarded. read more

As a "Bronze" level club, this location represents the lowest tier of quality in the LifeTime brand. They've essentially stripped out every luxury you might associate with LifeTime in order to offer the lowest cost of membership. Generally speaking, an individual membership to this Bronze club runs $60/month, when higher quality clubs can cost $160/month. I primarily use the club for barbell weight training. This club has four half racks with Olympic lifting platforms. For my purposes of performing squats, deadlifts, military press, etc., these platforms are excellent and they're what has me coming back. My check-in count attests to it. My only gripe is that two of the platforms face the pool instead of mirrors. The quality of the cardio area is poor. Many of the machines are past their prime, none of them have built-in televisions, and the entire area lacks cooling air circulation. There are no large fans on the ceiling, or fans built into the machines themselves. It's easy to hate this place when you're pouring sweat, 170+bpm, dying because you're too hot. I've lived in apartment buildings that included better cardio equipment. The locker room can be revolting. It's cleaned too infrequently and smells terrible. The tiled showers have mold growing in the grout, and other members leave their trash everywhere. One day I even found drugs in a locker. Probably the biggest giveaway that this is a Bronze club is that they don't provide shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. Instead, they have an all-in-one soap dispensed out of a cheap, foaming pump. There are no other toiletries given in the locker room. Many of the towels are virtually threadbare. To their credit, they do a good job of keeping the locker room stocked with clean towels. In my hundreds of visits, I can only recall once when they fell behind on clean towels. Any random time you drop by, you can likely spot multiple employees cleaning, folding, and restocking towels. Overall, it's an okay gym, but an awful LifeTime Fitness. If you want that touch of luxury with your gym experience, this isn't the place. BEWARE that many of the photos listed here are STOCK PHOTOS and don't reflect what's at this location. Lifetime has some of the rudest personal training staff I have encountered. If you are not paying for their services they will take equipment from you and serve you attitude. There are so many gyms available don't waste your time or money at Lifetime! I was a member for a couple years. When I complained about the personal training staff they would offer empty apologies and do nothing to change the problem. When I canceled my membership they begged me to freeze it and give them another chance. I gave them 4 chances to solve the problems. How much time do you need to fix a problem? read more

We went for family swim and the locker rooms lacked cleanliness. They removed the benches. Keys need to be requested for family lockers and they are dirty. People leave trash behind in the lockers. The showers were nasty. No soap, hair clumps, left over food, large empty vinegar container. Just disgusting. If locker rooms are visibly dirty what is going on with what can not be seen!. read more

I spend 2 years attempting to cancel this membership (which I used once on a free trial) upon moving baand calling customer service to cancel. I spoke to several very unhelpful associates who said I had to go back to the gym and cancel in person..... what gym won't let you cancel by phone?? My account was ultimately handled by Steve Sanders who refused to do anything to improve this nightmare experience. I have wasted thousands of dollars on this sub-par place. If you want a much better gym with awesome customer service, I hear they are opening an Equinox in Plano soon. I was a member of Equinox in LA and loved it. Lifetime doesn't compare and their cancellation practices are not worth signing up for. UPDATE: I cancelled the credit card I had this membership on and changed the account number in hopes that they would simply cancel my membership for non-payment. Somehow, Lifetime managed to charge my new credit card number a few months later with over $400 in charges on one billing cycle! When I contacted them about this they refused to refund the charges. I never authorized this amount in one billing cycle.... beware of this company's practices before signing up. Lifetime provides terrible customer service when issues arise. read more

Then if you make any requests after they've received your money, they'll tell you they're going to take care of if & you'll never hear back. I have 2 ladies (Pasche & Hailee) who have promised to "make things right" for our family who was charged $600 worth of membership fees for 2 months where we attended maybe twice bc nothing is open for kids during the day, like they promised. No rock climbing. No water slides. No racquetball. Go somewhere that doesn't cost $200 a month. Wylie Rec center is $400 for an entire year for our family. This review is to save anyone from future headaches dealing with incompetent workers who treat you horribly. My Wife signed up for the membership at Lifetime fitness in May 2017 since she saw how beautiful the gym was and also how nice the staff WERE at that moment. Of course we know that's how they treat every interested customer. After signing up, My wife was able to go for a few months but due to work and schedule she wasn't able to continue. I'm sure this happens frequently. As a responsible human being and taking time out of her busy schedule, she went to Lifetime and spoke to one of the members explaining that she can no longer go and inquired about cancellation. The staff member there name "Chris" told her she can't cancel and will have to pay till May 2018. She was very understanding of the terms and policy there and asked to please cancel after the one year. She remembered clearly signing the paper work at that very moment and being told she was good to go. June 2018 comes around and we are charged once again. My wife calls and questioned why she was charged again. Rep at that moment told her she didn't follow procedure. She then told them exactly what she did and the rep said someone will follow up with her shortly. No one did, so she called and she happens to get "Chris" who told her that he clearly remembers having her signed the paperwork. He told her he will look into this matter and get back to her. Days later, She gets an email from the manager "Mandy" who didn't even have the audacity to call her addressing that she will not get refunded because they weren't able to find her paperwork. I was furious as my wife would not lie about something like that and contacted them myself and spoke to a rep on the phone name "Stacy" who acted very condescending to the whole matter. Told me that she dealt with this matter before and there's nothing we can do. She then told me she would talk to the manager "Mandy" and upon waiting on the phone for a while, she returned and once again instead of the manager talking to me, "Stacy" tells me that the manager will not be able to do anything regarding this matter. I then asked to speak with "Mandy" and told her the entire situation. She too acted extremely uncaring about the matter but of course would say we'll look into it and get back to you. I get a final phone call from "Elisa" who spoke on behalf of the manager "Mandy" telling me that I'm no longer able to speak on behalf of my wife and there's nothing they will do regarding this matter. I told her this is no longer about the $65 but truly about the horrible uncaring customer service and the fact that the team did not own up to their mistakes by misplacing my wife's signed paperwork of cancellation. I said I would find my way to speak with corporate about this matter and "Elisa" who was representing for her manger "Mandy" told me I wish you luck in pursuing this and would love to see what corporate states. I contacted corporate and left a voicemail and have yet to heard back. I've never wrote a review yet alone this long in my life but I truly felt robbed and that the staff genuinely thinks they are untouchable and would get away with this and the last thing I want is for another customer to ever feel this way. We were happy with Lifetime and even respected the fact that we had to continue the membership for the year, but the fact that this group of so called representatives at Lifetime gave me the impression "we don't give a Sh*t about your situation" makes me never want to come back or even recommend anyone else to Lifetime. Honestly Lifetime Fitness is a gym that seems flat in the middle at a premium price. You'll generally pay between 33-50% less to get a similar experience from a big chain. Class options are limited, food service is good but can be slow. Major issue with undertrained employee went basically ignored by management. You can do Lifetime Fitness, or join 24 Hour Fitness, or LA Fitness. The alternatives have more locations, charge less and will "basically" give you the same service. I'm big on service and have a hard time with this location for the price. Feel bad writing this considering our expectations going in. read more

For what I need, this Lifetime is one of the best gym scenarios I have ever had. It is in a great location between my office and my home so not going is a bit difficult when you pass it everyday on your way home. The facility is large with more cardio machines then I can count and is never too busy. I've been during lunch as well as right after 5pm and I can always get any machine I need. Has a basketball court that I have yet to see busy, and has a pool as well. They also have an on-site spa as well as a cafe. Haven't used either, but I'm sure they are sufficient. My membership is $45 plus tax a month which is a much more reasonable price then the Onyx gym off Mockingbird ($110/month) and the Platinum Plano one ($80/month). Compared to other gyms like 24 hour or LA I'm sure its a bit more expensive, but it has all the amenities of a top tier lifetime but at less then half the cost. read more

I left another gym to join Lifetime and while they are more expensive I've found out that they are worth the $. One complaint (and the reason for only 4 stars) is I wish there were more bronze locations. I'm limited to this one location. So far every staff person I've met has been friendly, helpful, and informative. The gym is always clean and all the machines are in working order. There are two rather large studios for group fitness classes. The locker rooms have always been clean and fully stocked. Plenty of showers but only 4 toilet stalls. They could use a few more, as during busy times there is usually line. The eucalyptus room is always great to go to after a workout. The child care center is spacious and includes a bounce house and a computer lab. They have a family locker room which is great because I'm able to take my son with me when we are together in the gym. There are many benefits/ perks of being a new member. Including some great discounts for Life Spa services such as massages, waxing, hair cuts/colors, facials etc. They have to be used during your first month of membership but this is a great way to try out the services. Heidi was here s very good and extremely friendly. She did an eyebrow wax for me and a haircut for my son. Another new member benefit that I was able to take advantage of was the group training. Small group of 5 or 6 with one trainer for 60 minutes. It's less expensive then personal training but you don't have the benefit of one on one. I found there was too much down time and not worth it to me. Overall this is a great gym. Parking lot tip: don't park under the trees, the parking lot is full of birds and your car will be bombed. read more

The gym is gorgeous. Locker rooms are spotless. The cleaning staff deserves a lot of credit for keeping the whole place nice-- it smells like a spa, not a gym. Even if it were a complete hole in the wall, I would go to attend the classes. Dance jam, Pilates, and the other classes that I have attended are far better than at other gyms where I've worked out. The equipment is good and current. The staff members take the time to learn our names, which gives it a more personal touch. Mostly, I like that people who come to DAC take their fitness seriously. They are either with a trainer or in their own zone--you don't see people just hanging around chit chatting instead of working out. read more

Not quite as nice as the Plano location, but still a great gym. Love the pool, sauna, and equipment. Never too busy. You can get some great smoothies in the Life Cafe, but overall they could use some more vegan options, especially in the prepped meals. I appreciate that they have their own Vegan Max supplement. It's sad to still see places promoting so much animal protein. I wish the lockers at all locations were cleaned more often; I often notice dirt and hair which makes me not want to use them. Not sure what is going on with the Life Spa, but there is a huge empty space not being used. I've been in a few times when the music was turned down, or not working, which is slightly disappointing when looking for a motivating workout. If you want a gym with exceptional child care this is NOT I REPEAT NOT the gym for you and your family. Love the gym but the child care is 0/10.. if you have very little ones I would not recommend, I can not workout in peace if my baby is there with the teens who run the children's program! Nothing against them but they definitely lack patience when it comes to hyperactive toddlers and such! No personal encounters against my own kid but I did witness one child being SCREAMED at by the child care director in the pool for crying. "Stop crying!!!!" It was obvious the child was in distress and uncomfortable, I wish I knew who his parent was so I could fond her and let her know. They're working with kids it should be a given that sometimes little ones have a harder time handling their emotions . Safe to say I never took Elyza there again and downgraded my membership. Other than that I like the amenities of the facility/ cleanliness and if you don't have kids who will be joining you you will have no problems! read more

I can't believe this location has bad reviews, very inaccurate if I must say. I like this location, I've been a member for over a years. I like that it's very clean, there is ALWAYS someone cleaning the machines that have already been used. The staff is very friendly from the minute you walk in the door. Machines all work, I haven't seen a machine be out of order for over three days. It's a big facility so it's never overly crowded. It is an older crowd at this location Vs the Flower Mound location. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this Lifetime locations. It's a bit on the pricey side but I knew that from the beginning- you truly get what you pay for here. read more

Kids club is not good at this gym. my baby is just 3.5 years. she was always happy and never complained about anyone or anything but on 08/15/2021 a lady at the kids club beat my baby on her head. A while after we picked her up she started complaining by saying that her teacher beat her head and told her go away. Later we found out that her name was (Melanie). The day after when we went back to the gym we tried to talk to the manager but they told us she's not available we asked them to let us see the camera records they told us we're not allowed to. After we said we'll call the police and report it to CPS then they said ok we can check them. The day after they scheduled a meeting for us and let us see the records. The video tape was so far away and at multiple locations we couldn't even see what she was doing with our baby. We also didn't like how the manager was treating us and trying to cover the situation for her employee (all we wanted was safety for our baby and certainty for ourselves when we leave the baby but we think they had miss understanding). she was giving unnecessary excuses and by the end she was trying to tell us that we're ignoring our daughter by leaving her alone at the locker room which is not true cuz I never let her get away from me even for couple of feet so personally I think she used that as a threat against me because of her misunderstanding. that's why I recommend parents to find a better place to take care of their kids while they are working out. Besides all of these the gym is a great place to work out the other employees and people are all so nice and everything is so clean and well taken care off. read more

This location does not have all the amenities of a platinum location, but is a large updated club with all the equipment and options like a sauna I look for. The sauna was clean unlike 24 hour fitness in Addison across from my hotel which a health inspector would probably shut down. I will return during my stay in Dallas even though it's about $17 round trip with lyft from my hotel. read more

Posting an update as I 'unfroze' my account. I am so excited for all the new classes! This week I tried the Gluteus Maxout (first class ever) and I am hooked, the class was so great! The time flew by and the instructor was awesome! My legs were jelly (in a good way!) I also tried the Barbell strength which out of the two I preferred. It was a little less intensity than the gluteus class. Either way, I'm hooked and so excited to do the classes. Working out and staying motivated is so hard to do alone, but with the class and having an instructor tell you what to do makes it easy. The instructor said last night "you don't have to work out all day to get results, do it once do it right!" On a separate note, my two daughters (3, 5) LOVE the kids club!! read more
