    Super nice sauna, steam, cold plunge, and hot tub. I was super relaxed. All are top notch in their own sphere.

    Since joining the Clarendon area in the summer of 2023 I had my eye on this gym that markets themselves as a city country club. I had toured at least three other gyms in the span of a month and before the tour was halfway over with lifetime I knew this was the place. A large and spacious workout floor complete with personal trainers was impressive- and the floor to ceiling windows provide great people watching in addition to natural lighting. They have basically every popular group fitness class included with the membership -GTX (orange theory/Barry's format) Alpha (CrossFit format) pilates, barre and spin and more. I like to rotate types of classes so this was a great option for me to get the best of all. The selling point for me were there spa facilities and every day relaxation space. They have a dry sauna, steam room, cold plunge and whirlpool. It's amazing. The amenities are great and every staff member is exceptional. My husband and I have been members for almost three months now and we make it into the gym almost every day for one reason or another. Even when I don't feel like working out I'll head in for the sauna and a smoothie from the cafe. The location is great and they validate parking. The price can feel like a lot but when you consider the amount that you have access to and the amazing hours (close to 24 hours) it's really a great deal. They recently installed hydro massage machines which is an added bonus. Take a tour- you have to see if for yourself.

    Always a great experience working out here! ‍ The facility is impeccably clean, and the atmosphere is always fun and inviting. The staff exude positive energy and are incredibly supportive. I particularly enjoy the signature group classes and Yoga sessions--they're a perfect blend of challenge and relaxation. ‍ Highly recommend! Also a cool part of signing up is the free introduction classes to like Pilates, DPT (Dynamic Personal Training);etc.

I still wish reformer and sweatbox were included since the price for the gym isn't cheap! The facility is always well maintained and clean. i love the saunas, though those have broken a few times the management is always quick to repair the wait is usually part related. They have a wide variety of gym equipment and weight, squat racks, etc. they also offer personal training, which I have met a few of the trainers who are super nice and welcoming. It's great to workout at a gym where you are welcomed and get to know the front desk and staff. Overall, would highly recommend.

I've been going for about five months and can tell a difference in my strength and confidence level in movement. My trainer is Rob Graveline, and he has been terrific. Method Fitness business communication is absolutely professional -- from person-to-person communication, to email, to text alerts/reminders, even being greeted at door, it's all easy, correct, and smooth. My intake interview alone basically "sold" me -- Mateo and talked a lot, I unloaded a ton of stuff about details and goals and issues, and he heard every damn word and absolutely nothing was missed. Zero. He then rolled it into a perfect trainer selection for me. No surprises. I get text reminders about the sessions, and all the staff work together as a team, as a single team, from the moment you walk in the door. The facilities are perfect for meeting fitness goals. It's not a zoo of machines and noise and clutter and random people. There's plenty of space and all the right tools are there. There may be few other people there during my time slot, I feel like my trainer and I 'own' the the whole gym. No waiting for anything. No distractions, no wasted time. Where Method *really* shines is the quality of their programming. I came in with all sorts of history, glitches, ideas, and goals, but they surprised me with more. My beastly and superb trainer, Jack Walter, pays laser attention and is addressing stuff in *hours* that I had not fully seen, and uncovers things I never even noticed! And then he immediately finds a way to address it. The excitement of "actually getting somewhere" is real. These Method guys are *not* picking some rando workout plan out of a hat: it's absolutely tailored. I can't tell you how encouraging this is and how much hope it builds. For older folks, they put a special eye on mobility, injuries, and chronic issues and then target them for fixes. Speaking of workout plan -- I didn't know Method, and they didn't know me, and they had the steady professional foresight to schedule in a few "figure things out" sessions to see where I was, and how I responded to training before -- I repeat, before -- starting a regular routine. This way, they know the regular plan will address my particular needs, and that I'll respond to it successfully. Like I said: Absolutely Professional. Short Story, this is all after just a few weeks. I walked into this place thinking "OK, I'll try a handful of sessions" ....and now? My weights are going up every time. My flexibility and stability are improving.     Runners -- THIS is your place!…read more I joined MAD this summer for a month trial membership and was impressed with the support, technical and individualized coaching, variety of movements, and early results. I was starting marathon training and was initially hesitant about investing in a strength gym with scheduled classes. How could these types of workouts fit into a distance running training plan? MADabolic Arlington showed me. I cannot speak more highly of Julianne and the coaches at MADabolic Arlington. Julianne provided a clear, 20-week training plan that included MAD workouts, speed/hill workouts, long runs, and rest days. Their team helped me build full-body strength, prevent injuries, build mental discipline and resiliency (5:00 static effort, anyone?!), increase aerobic fitness, improve flexibility and range of motion, relieve stress, find value in rest/active recovery days, improve body composition (including bone density), and feel strong. I saw the results. The past few months helped me to run more than 40 minutes faster than last year's marathon time, with my fastest splits of the race in my last 5K. Without injuries. MAD class 3 days per week and running 2-3 days per week. I was a collegiate heptathlete 20 years ago and I am continually amazed what my body and mind are now capable of. I'm back! -- and post-race, I'm making more gains. The fitness center is in what is rapidly becoming the Amazon.com-friendly hub of high-tech businesses in Crystal City, Virginia (which straddles both Arlington and Alexandria VA). My purpose in working with Eliot was straightforward: I retired after 45 years as a lawyer and judge and needed to gain the resilience needed to meet the travel challenges of my retirement. Eliot has been an amazing trainer. In 30-minute workouts two days a week, Eliot has introduced me to the essential exercises that focus on balance, range of motion, agility, and upper body strength. With the Onelife Fitness Center's platform of equipment and space, I've learned how to work with hex bars, kettlebells, dumbells, barbells, medicine balls, resistance bands, TRX equipment, and free weights safely and effectively. As a new-comer to the fitness experience, I have learned with Eliot's help how to manage my time in the gym to get the most out of a 30-minute workout. Eliot emphasizes how to properly set up for each exercise - to move safely and confidently through a series of different routines that never get old. What's been most impressive is Eliot's range of knowledge about how each exercise set affects the body. His more than nine years of experience has given him useful insight into how each kind of exercise can address goals - like improving balance, strengthening key physical functions, and losing weight while maintaining a balance that takes into account protein intake, calorie monitoring, and life affirmation. This training is goal-oriented. After I retired, I sought out polar expeditions offered by Quark Expeditions, in both Antarctica and in the Artic Ocean. These expeditions come with a level of risk that few voyages pose: each day the itinerary includes boarding a Zodiac - a military-grade 10-person outboard motor-driven rubber pontoon raft that carries us from ship to shore. If a wave breaks wrong (or if Orcas attack) the ten of us who are passengers on the Zodiac will have seconds, not minutes, to try to get back to the Zodiac. This requires balance, resilience, and upper body strength. Over the past three years, Eliot has guided me to where I have the strength, resilience, and upper body strength needed for these expeditions. Among the skills Eliot brings to the table is his engaging outlook: he remembers what we've studied, offers well-informed exercise alternatives when I reach limits due to my age and abilities. He's friendly, supportive, easy to understand, takes excellent notes about the progress I'm making, and is clearly comfortable in the trainer's role. He's also been great at scheduling and re-scheduling and knows the resources of the Crystal Park Onelife Center (including its outstanding salt-water lap pool). Not once has he been late for a scheduled training session; not once has he had to cancel a session. I've had trainers before and was concerned about starting a training program with a trainer at OneLife. They're not inexpensive. I got lucky with Eliot - he's the real deal. Over the course of the last three years, I've gained confidence in working out on my own. I've lost ten percent of my body weight, reduced my blood pressure, seriously improved my LDL cholesterol score, totally removed all (like 100 percent) of plaque in my coronary arteries, and gained a new appreciation for watching my food intake. This year I'm planning my sixth and seventh polar expeditions - after exploring Antarctica for the second time last year I'll be joining a Quark expedition to the Northwest Passage, and then a Quark expedition to the east coast of Greenland later this year. With the improved balance, upper body strength, and resilience that I've gained through this training, I think I'll be ready for the Zodiacs exploring the High Arctic.

    Here's the deal and this is for anybody who has read or follow my reviews and I don't know if it's…read morethe New Yorker in me but I called down the middle the way I see it and this is the way I see One Life fitness Skyline: Any gym and I don't care who you go to and where you go to or even if The Rock himself is training you, it comes down to if you will walk through that door everyday and what you do inside of it. Most people complain about Jim's because of two things: they want all the amenities like you're going to the Bellagio in Las Vegas and they wait on you hand and foot or you have a lot of sensitive people who just because they don't get what they want when they want an exactly how they want it, they complain. All the staff that work there are really cool, they open up really good hours which is 5:00 a.m. and if you can't get your butt into the gym at 5:00 a.m. whose fault is that? I wish they would close a little bit later maybe 11:00 or midnight but that's neither here nor there. It's a huge facility and they have great amenities. Basic but good enough. So in summation I've been in this gym for over a year and I like it a lot and I have no problems with it. So what the heck are you waiting for after reading this? GET UP AND GET IT DONE!

    I unfortunately have to use this gym and just recently started coming here. This was literally only…read moremy second time in the building, and they don't provide proper tours or clearly explain the layout. While trying to find the exit, I made an honest mistake and walked across a small green section. Instead of handling it calmly or professionally, multiple staff members were rude and condescending, and one staff member even made a threat about following me out. That felt intimidating, inappropriate, and made the environment feel unsafe and very uncomfortable. The overall staff interaction and vibes came across as unprofessional and very ghetto. I was looking at their personal training here, but after how I was treated, I would never choose to give this place my business. I'll just stick with my current trainer. On top of that, many of the machines appear very old, run-down, and unstable. A lot of the equipment looks outdated, which raises concerns about maintenance and overall care of the facility. Overall, this was a really disappointing and off-putting experience, especially for a first-time member.
