We were immediately turned away...."we have nothing available"...at 12:50pm on a Saturday at an establishment that accepts walk-ins. I looked around at the aesthetic of customers and quickly realized why my daughter and I were turned away. We did not meet the Caucasian aesthetic they wanted for their customer clientele. We were not even offered the option to wait, and we definitely did not feel welcomed. Needless to say, we immediately thanked them for their time and left. We ended up getting AMAZING service and LUXURY NAILS on the corner of 355 and Shady Grove Road right next to the Qdoba. I do not recommend Allure nails. Be careful how on you treat your African-American clients, some of us want to pay our hard earned money for your services.

The pedicure didn't even last one day, which was so disappointing. By the time I got to my event the following day, most of my toes had already chipped off. It's so frustrating when you pay for a service that doesn't last. When I do my toenails myself, they last for weeks because I don't use cheap polish to begin with, as well as I use SECHE VITE (a fast drying top coat) to seal the deal. I wish nail salons would invest in this and other quality polish for regular mani/pedis. Anyways, I absolutely LOVED my full set and am glad I found Lee. She was quick and efficient, although she had to keep leaving to answer phones, etc (maybe she's one of the bosses or managers). But I will continue to get my full sets with Lee.

I had a blow-dry and hairstyle done at the LifeSpa inside of the Lifetime Fitness in Gaithersburg a few weeks ago by Veronica and I was very happy with it! The LifeSpa, and the whole facility in general, are beautiful. This was the first time I had been here and I was very impressed. Everyone that I came into contact with that day was very nice. Veronica is very experienced in what she does, professional and incredibly nice. I just had a blow-dry and style done that day, but I've seen some of her other work as well such as color, cut, etc. and she honestly does a great job. I would love to have her do my hair again. Progressions Salon has a chair that massages both your back and your butt during the hair wash and shampoo stage of the appointment. It was the best shampoo experience of my life. After the hair washing Molly gave me a very cute layered bob that complimented my curls. It is hard to find a stylist knowledgeable about cutting curly hair and she nailed it! After the cut she styled my hair and I was set to meet my friends for brunch. I am very thick skinned and my pain tolerance is high but this threading stop in the salon run by these two Indian women....go somewhere else. I don't want to shit on the other salons in here and I will probably go here to try another salon but the threading...NO. Just full stop. She was rude too. I don't usually give a damn about that if you service me well. But the pain was too much to come back. And the result was mediocre. Not worth it for me to drive an hour for it.
