5 stars for Stephanie B! My favorite masseuse! If it wasn't for Stephanie, I would not have learned about this Spa, but since I followed her here, I am now intrigued. I needed to see her because she has special hands, and my body that was recently healing from injury, needed her magic touch. I had a 120min massage and she was awesome as per usual. As I walked in this place, it was such a vibe. Lifetime athletic, Lifetime Spa, Lifetime Cafe... very cool. I was injured so I couldn't work out, but the next time I come visit, I'll make sure to make the most since the cost of the massage allows you to use the amenities for the day. If you're booking a massage in this spot, do yourself a huge favor and try Stephanie B! Make sure to communicate how you like your massage, pressure, etc and she always delivers! I love Lifetime gym, but I had the only bad massage of my life at LifeSpa and will never go back. The masseuse didn't ask me any questions about how firm or what spots were sore, listened to some podcast on his earbuds so loudly that it was quite audible to me and prevented me from relaxing, and gave me painful neuropathy that lasted more than a week. After the massage I saw that his "master masseuse" license came from Lifetime. read more

I have been going monthly since August. My appointments are with Brandie who I highly recommend for a massage. Their online booking system makes it easy to make appointments. However, a higher fee is charged for services on Saturday or Sunday. It is in the fine print but paying more for a massage Saturday morning verses Friday afternoon does not sit well with me so in the future I will stick to week days. read more

5 Stars for Sally! Absolutely love Sally for Mani/Pedi. She is highly experienced, super professional and incredibly nice. I have had two mani/pedi's with her and absolutely loved the results. She has a background from Red Door and other LifeTime locations and was a great hire. She is incredibly popular so book early! You will absolutely love her! The spa also uses the highest quality nail products, which last longer than I've ever seen and they have he highest selection of gel manicure colors in the area. Definitely as for Sally! Another plus, you get two free hours of childcare with a treatment, which is a nice bonus. Other than Sally, the spa lacks organization and clarity. The prices and menu options, among being impossible to find, are changing all the time. It takes 10-25 minutes to talk to a human by phone or in person, and even then not everyone can describe the services or promotions accurately. I haven't tried services other than nails but I have seen fab hair from Alanis (and had hoped to try her myself!) The spa is in the open foyer so it's very loud and public. If you are looking for a mani/pedi, definitely go to Sally but you are better of price and luxury wise spending your money at Red Door in the Kentlands, which in several categories is actually less expensive and way easier to reach. read more

Ever since my wedding, my wife has been asking me to find a salon and hair stylist that could repeat my haircut that I received for our wedding (it was in Florida and got my haircut by a high end salon down there). Based on a referral, I came here and got my hair cut by Heather. She nailed it, 100%. She will now be the person I come to after getting my haircut by the same barber for 15 years, which was hard to pull me away from. As a bonus, my wife decided to give her a try after my experience. Keep in mind, she still would get her haircut in NJ where she was from because she didn't trust anyone in MD yet after moving down here. Heather was able to squeeze her in before her vacation and my wife loved her experience as well. Like me, she will now continue to use Heather from now on. We were both very impressed. read more

I have had two great back/neck massages from Brandie. I was in a lot of pain over the holidays with a pinched nerve in my neck and shoulder that wouldn't go away. I have never had this problem before and knew I wouldn't be able to get in to my physical therapist for a while to figure out the problem so I figured I'd see if a massage would help. (I had read on webMD that massage or PT were common treatments for pinched nerves.) I scheduled a 30 min RSQ massage and explained my concerns to Brandie. She focused exclusively on my back and neck and at the end of the first session I was immediately feeling MUCH better! The massage was definitely more pressure than a Swedish massage, but not unbearable. Brandie recommended some stretching and that I come back for a follow up in 1-2 weeks. I still had a little tightness in my neck and shoulder after the first session but the second massage seemed to do the trick! I have never had more than 1-2 massages per year anywhere, and had never booked a massage at Life Spa. I really saw an immediate benefit, which was a very pleasant surprise! I highly recommend Brandie for massages - she was a good listener and seemed really knowledgeable when she was explaining things to me, and most importantly, she helped relieve my pain! read more

Found this place on a whim. What a hidden treasure!! Got a gel pedicure and it was delightful. I don't remember my Nail Tech's name started with an M. She did an amazing job. Veronica is the best stylist! She's fun, classic, creative and always has new ideas for my crazy hair, (a mix of curly on the top and straight underneath- ). She also cuts hair for my teen girls and boy as well as does our hair for all special events. I have lived in Virginia for years but still travel back to Maryland just so Veronica can do my hair. Heather Creegan did a wonderful job on my hair! I've never dyed my hair before, but wanted to mix it up. I showed Heather a few pictures of what I was looking for and she nailed it! Absolutely loved her and the salon is so nice. They have lemon and mint water, tea, and on weekends they offer mimosas! The best part is your allowed to use the gym facility if you have a hair appointment so I got to workout before I got my hair done. So far during my time as a member of Life Time Athletic I have only gotten to use the Life Spa twice, but both times have been exceptional. Back in October when the Club opened, I came in for a facial. Addie was very accommodating. She explained the process to me (it was my first facial) and asked me questions about my skin and what I wanted. The process was very relaxing and I came out refreshed and rejuvenated. Addie also provided me with tips on how to better take care of my face. My second time using the Spa was for a haircut. I am pretty bad when it comes to articulating what what I want from a haircut but Lindsay was able to figure it out! She gave me a very stylish 2017 look for men, keeping the sides short and the front long. I loved how much time she took on me, and her attention to detail. Afterwards she also helped style it! As a dude it's nice to see a spa that caters to both men and women. I love how easy it is to drop in for an appointment before or after a work out. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. I am excited to try out more of its services in the future! read more

Nail tech was nice and friendly. Atmosphere is clean and doesn't smell like acetone. However, 4 days later, my chipless manicure doesn't look like I got my nails done recently.. Cuticles weren't cleaned up well and nail polish was applied pretty far away from the cuticle, so it looks like the nail polish was applied more than a week ago. Considering that the pricing was on the high side, I had high expectations. As a gym member, this spa is marketed as convenient, since you're already at the gym. For me, however, it's not convenient, since it doesn't open till 9a, outside my typical gym hours. I had to wait for them to open, after my workout and schedule meetings around it. Given the pricing and being a gym member, it feels like I'm missing out since the spa services include a day pass to the gym with baby sitting for non-members! So essentially as a gym member, I paid extra (more than my usual nail salon) for no extra convenience or quality of service. To make this more attractive for members, they should consider being open at earlier hours, membership discounts etc. read more

They treat you like garbage if you try to use the coupons THEY provide when you sign up for a membership with LifeTime. I decided to try a haircut, facial, and a mani/pedi using the coupons, again that THEY provided. The person checking you out makes you feel like you are someone off the street trying to cheat them off of money. Just horrible. Again, your services are pricey, they are not cheap and definitely above similar services in the area. She kept repeatedly trying to tell me that the coupons are expired, and making faces. Then, why did someone from your salon call me a day earlier to confirm the appointment and when I specifically asked, told me the coupons were valid. Expecting good customer service is not a privilege, it is a right! If I am tipping 20% for every service I get on top of your inflated prices, please treat me with respect. The people who took care of me other than the mani/pedi technician were great! I would go back if it wasn't for the treatment I received upon trying to use the very coupons LIFETIME provided me. read more
