Here Luca, Christina, and Hakim create artisanal cheeses that embody Carlo Petrini's Slow Food movement: food should be good, clean, and fair. There is an exuberance to their art. They know that their cheese-making improves the cows and environment, that their cheese protects and deepens the "cultura del formaggio", and that their products WILL amaze you by their deliciousness! I highly recommend the cheese-making classes as well. I'd pay just to hear Luca's commentary on life, much less to learn how to make cheese from him! Even after studying food in Italy, I've never come across anyone so passionate about dairy. You'll love the teaching on how cheese is made, the process of making it yourself, the wine, bread, and cheese provided to the students, and the block you get to take home. If you live in New England, come visit Wolf Meadow Farm!

Especially great are their premade foods by the deli counter. Their different types of chicken salad is a favorite of my husbands. Their cookies are decent, especially the butter crunch. Their house made chicken pot pie is very popular with so many people, I have brought it to friends when they are home sick and I don't want to cook. No one is disappointed with that. They make all their food in-house. So good. Their desserts are quite good. Recently had a small event and didn't feel like cooking. I supplemented with a gallon of their hearty vegetable soup, and their little desserts. The veggie soup was just too healthy to be popular with this crowd, so that was a bad choice on my part. The desserts were a bit hit. They have flowers, cute paper goods, great house made hamburgers, we go there often. Never disappointing, but much more expensive than Shaws or Market Basket. Having said that, we feel it is worth it.
