They also have plenty of stickers, note books, pens, pencils, and all kinds of goodies. This store is curated to perfection. It may be small but it is mighty. I wanted half the stuff I looked at! Wonderful wonderful selections. Props to whoever does the curating. I left with a notebook, two books, and a bookmark. Very Queer friendly as well! Staff were so amazing! Amazing store.

Pippi the cat is the friendliest and softest cat you'll ever meet--literally the most perfect bookshop kitty! The selection of children's book is wonderful. The store is incredibly inviting to children and adults alike. There are a ton of events for kids as well as book clubs for adults. (I've gone to an adult book club meeting and had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people!) the store also carries a ton of signed editions which makes book buying even more special! They also have jellycat stuffed animals which are so cute and soft! It's a great place to buy books and gifts. There is plenty of free parking in the lot behind the store in the public parking area, as well as metered parking right out front.

As one of the oldest independent bookstores in California, it has a really special charm. Inside, there's a wine bar, a coffee shop, and even a cute gift shop upstairs, which makes it easy to spend a lot of time browsing and relaxing. While I was there, I got to listen to an author present her book and answer questions, which added such a unique and memorable touch to the visit. The store was busy, and you could really feel how much people enjoyed being there. The layout is well organized, making it easy to find books by genre. Upstairs, there's a spacious children's section, which is great for families. I also loved the section featuring Orson Welles books and posters. It was a really cool and unexpected addition. Overall, Vroman's is more than just a bookstore as it's an experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

I was promised validated parking, yet I still had to pay the full parking price. I also intended to purchase the more affordable option, but it was out of stock at the time. My biggest concern was my phone interaction with Marie. She came across as rushed, apathetic, and unprofessional, and the call became increasingly frustrating toward the end. The level of service felt minimal and dismissive, and I ended the call feeling uneasy and without resolution. I am still uncertain whether my order was properly completed. Marie stated she was "pretty sure she clicked it" regarding my emailed receipt, but I have not received when I was on the call with her. I followed her instructions and checked both my spam and trash folders, with no success. She did say the email should be in my inbox, spam, or trash by the end of today. Additionally: * I was not given a total before my card was charged * I was not asked whether I am a Barnes & Noble member, which I am; I later had to call back to request a partial refund, and the way this was explained to me was confusing * The prices were $10-$20 higher per book, which was only explained after I questioned the charges Finally, rather than resolving these issues directly, I was referred to 1-800-THE-BOOK.
