Little Avalon reminds you of Catalina Island in the city of Avalon. Love the art work, fixtures and pieces on the walls. Along with the hanging lamps. So many pretty greenery around this eatery. We dined in and ordered Moms Breakfast Sandwich, Housemade Chicken and Waffles and Island Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. Mom's Breakfast Sandwich is similar to a traditional breakfast sandwich (fried egg, bacon and cheddar cheese) except there's avocado and hash brown included. The Housemade Chicken and Waffles was fluffy and moist yet the right amount of crispiness on the outside. The Chicken was on point tasteful with glaze and hint of sweet and spicy. Island Teriyaki Chicken Bowl was fulfilling with pineapple and asparagus and some the perfect blend of green vegetables. Can't wait to come back and try other food items on Little Avalon's menu.

I loved herbs and this salad has all the Mediterranean flavors that transport me to my favorite destination. Again I bragged so much about it, now my friend gets this salad every time also. The Short Rib Shakshuka was good but not my favorite. The short rib was large and incredibly tender. The poached eggs were good but the tomato pepper stew was a bit too chunky for me. The challah bread that came with it was perfect for the shakshuka though. You could pull a piece of bread off and the crunchy outside and soft interior made the perfect dipping piece. The presentation along with the other dishes was fabulous. The other meal I had here was Landwer's Famous Breakfast with two eggs & small dishes of the best tzatziki I've ever had, incredible guacamole, skordalia (which seems more like a hummus), plain yogurt with a touch of granola and berries, cream cheese and honey with bread. Once they served with the challah and this time with the Jewish bagel. I prefer the Jewish bagel (I think). They are both delicious! I was able to grab 3 Jewish bagels to go for $10.
