I came in yesterday around 6:20pm and when we walked in the guy helping us was very nice and we thought everything was going well. He had let us know "Perfect we have time to embroider" so we got 6 initials on two sides. They got the sides wrong and the color of the stitch wrong but it didn't matter to us, but the finished product on one side was HORRIBLE. Both sides can be compared and it does NOT look good, very rushed because they took long up until closing to finish. So we came in today to maybe redo it, and we were very nice since we didn't have problems before. He said "Well i told you yesterday the mesh wouldn't look good so idk what you want" and we showed him how both sides look very different even the fucking M's and i pointed it out and he was SO passive aggressive and when we were looking around he stopped by just to say "thanks for getting here earlier today" as if we didn't get there on time..? I didn't know we had to come when it was convenient for him. We ended up getting a refund and going to a different Lids. He has a beard, and was very rude just because we wanted a refund/ redo. read more

I have ordered my husband's sports products from Lids for the last 10 years, never had any issues until this year 2024. I ordered him a 2024 draft day hat for Father's Day, that was suppose to be here by June 15, 2024, the product was never received, tracking provided states that the order label was created but the product was never received and still waiting for it. Lids sent a replacement order that was suppose to arrive by June 22, 2024. The provided tracking information states the same as the first order, a label was created but the product was not received and still waiting for it. Called Lids again they gave me a run around for the orders and the tracking information, reshipped a 3rd time for the product to be here by July 3rd 2024, I got a run around for wanting a refund, they refuse to ship over night. If there was an option to give one star I would. Staff completely unprofessional I came in about two days ago to place an order for embroilment. They said it would be done the next day and I would receive a call when my order was done. Today I called i someone said they wasn't sure if my order was even started and that they will check. I herd him asking around in the background everyone was completely unaware. He said he would check the other store and he would get back to me. Couple hours have passed and no call. I call again The "manager" answered put me on hold and after ten minutes hung up in my face. I called again someone said "I can't hear sh*t your saying" and hung up. So I drove to the location and my order wasn't even started so i asked for a refund. The "manager" said she would not give a refund with out my receipt when they told me to pick up I only need my ID and they had a copy of my receipt. I do I had to drive home and get my receipt HAND it to her and she took her time talking to employees before doing my refund. Then she threw my money at me. I always shop on lids website. I went to Lids yesterday at a different location to open an access pass membership and they completely messed up the process, misspelling my name and email so I never got the confirmation after purchasing the Access Pass, went to the location today to try and fix the situation and the staff was unhelpful saying the system is down and to come back later. I decided to go to a different location, which is where the 5 star review kicks in, for Maya, honestly one of the best members Lids has for customer service, she was extremely kind and patient. I work in customer service myself so small issues that are worth something like 5 dollars might annoy the regular person, but no Maya was extremely patient with an spectacular attitude as she was correcting the mistakes of the other store. Side note, store was well organized and lots of inventory compared to other lids. read more

The people that work here are always so nice... always go out of there way to do my embroidery, I have had my back packs, sweaters and scarves stich at that location.. Always great attitude and never rush on orders, they always ask you to come back... perfection dows take time... Have been in here a few times and other than my first time the employees couldn't be less helpful. No "How you doing?" or "Can I help you." I mean I don't expect to get greeted like I'm walking into a high class resort or anything but at least acknowledge my existence. Just called to see if they would have any World Series hats available, guy who answered was completely rude and was honestly condescending. All I had was a question, and he decided to be rude about it? Come on. Told me that the hats were out of market/area, yet I know of someone else who called this same store with the same question and whoever they talked to said they were going to get them soon, but not exactly sure when. And I also know that during the 2012 and 2014 World Series, my brother was able to buy the Giants hat down in LA with the WS patch at a Lids with no problem. Out of market? Yeah, sure, whatever. If you're not sure about it, be a little nicer or better yet, be honest. Now i choose the size, and CLARITZA is ringing me up, she asked me if I had a lids card, i said yes but if she can look it up by phone number. i didnt know this was an issue because she made a gesture like i just made her life a living hell. So she tells me it is expired, and if i want to renew it. I said yes, that is fine! She replies with "Do you want to or not?" Woah buddy! Aggresive much?? I was trying to exchange my Warriors cap to a better design...the guy in the counter is busy, so i waited fir him. He asked what i need. I told him i wanna exchange the cap. I love Lids but this location lacks what it needs to be successful, good customer service. I went there today with my friend to exchange a hat I purchased for a large size because the person I bought it for didn't fit it. I came into the store, and approached a sales associate and told him I needed to make an exchange. I was then handed off to another sale associate by the name of Mercedes. Mercedes took the hat out of the bag and walked into the back and came back out accusing me of wearing the hat and trying to return it. Mercedes was showing me "wear" marks and an odor. First off, the wear on it was just pieces of lint? The hat is shedding a little bit so of course there will be little pieces of lint but nothing that can't be taken off and the odor that was coming from it is the smell of suede! Its not the normal cloth hats they have in store and clearly this sales associate did not know what they were talking about and kept insisting that I was wrong. Then Mercedes was telling me I bought the hat on the 24th of October which was a week ago implying its been a "long" period of time and I had an opportunity to wear it. Do you not know your store policy? 30 days! I don't have all the time in the world to go back to store and exchange it, I have other things to do and I came on my spare time to do so within the 30 days. I gave up trying to work with this sales associate, clearly does not know anything about Lids return/exchange policy. Well I went to another Lids location at Great Mall and they took it back without a problem and exchanged it for the correct size. I might not look like I wear hats, but I cotdamn know a thing or two about them and that sales associate is tripping. I am not giving this location my business ever, they disrespected me by telling me that I was pretty much trying to scam them out of a hat by trying to exchange a "used" hat for a brand new one. I am calling the store tomorrow to speak to a manager about this matter, because its ridiculous. Another Lids store that has been in business longer than them saw no problems with my request but this location took it to the next level by telling me that I was trying to do them dirty.
