I've been asked to go to a different checkout lane because an employee wants to talk to a customer. That's cool and all but here's the issue with that: I do Instacart and I work this store a lot since it's one I'm familiar with. Most of my gigs are "Food Lion Now." So, even though it's contract work, I represent the store. By shewing me off to another lane with more wait time not only hurts my stats, but it also hurts the store. I work a lot of different stores and I have to say that this is the one that is consistently OUT of many items. Today I did a run and half of my customer's order was not stocked. This seems to be the only store I work that's always out of items. Also, it's the daytime employees that seem most disgruntled. Like, not wanting to answer my questions, ignoring the fact that they're stocking and area I'm shopping and unwilling to move their cart out of the way, avoiding eye contact or just plain rude during checkout. I don't know what's up with this location, maybe it's management. I keep coming back for my personal shopping because it's the few great employees that keep me here. Usually I can easily find what I'm looking for (and more). I especially enjoy the produce section with the pick and prep items and cut your own herbs section! The pick and prep items save a lot of time and encourage produce intake. The cut your own herbs area is such a great idea to reduce food waste and bring customers closer to gardening. Lowes Foods tends to be on the pricier side compared to Food Lion, however, the quality is high and they provide coupons and accept competitor coupons. Overall, I'm a fan and intend to continue shopping here regularly!

The produce looked fine but it doesn't compare to H Mart's produce area as far as variety and size. But H Mart is in Cary and if that is not convenient for you, this will work just fine. But having lived in Austin for over 20 years and having near-unlimited access to HEB's house brand tortillas when they are so fresh the package is almost too hot to hold, I'm not a tortilla newb, either. A very rude, vile young lady who obviously hates her job as a cashier and customer service representative. She rang my items up incorrectly three times and when I corrected her, I got the " hissing sound" of the young ladies that are angry they were corrected. I watched in silence and was astounding that this young lady is on the front lines of waiting on customers. I asked for managers and names. As I was leaving, I did run into Austin, and we discussed what Miss Serenity did. His comment was " thats unacceptable and she will be written up." I am definitely not trying to get this young lady in trouble, maybe a 2nd time around in customer training is what needs to happen. Serenity, do better babe! Do better!
