I've been asked to go to a different checkout lane because an employee wants to talk to a customer. That's cool and all but here's the issue with that: I do Instacart and I work this store a lot since it's one I'm familiar with. Most of my gigs are "Food Lion Now." So, even though it's contract work, I represent the store. By shewing me off to another lane with more wait time not only hurts my stats, but it also hurts the store. I work a lot of different stores and I have to say that this is the one that is consistently OUT of many items. Today I did a run and half of my customer's order was not stocked. This seems to be the only store I work that's always out of items. Also, it's the daytime employees that seem most disgruntled. Like, not wanting to answer my questions, ignoring the fact that they're stocking and area I'm shopping and unwilling to move their cart out of the way, avoiding eye contact or just plain rude during checkout. I don't know what's up with this location, maybe it's management. I keep coming back for my personal shopping because it's the few great employees that keep me here. This location stands out for their large selection of fresh flowers of the local area and many more unique Asian selections than my location. Staff were incredibly friendly assisting multiple customers while making sure all needs were met. One staff member even ran to the back to deliver the restock of the highly coveted frozen hash browns.

The produce looked fine but it doesn't compare to H Mart's produce area as far as variety and size. But H Mart is in Cary and if that is not convenient for you, this will work just fine. I'm a flour tortilla girl and they looked a lot like the fresh tortillas I had in Texas. The tortilla section consisted of corn, but they had plenty of flour and some cactus. (Update: Ok, I am NOT claiming to be an authority on flour tortillas by any means. But having lived in Austin for over 20 years and having near-unlimited access to HEB's house brand tortillas when they are so fresh the package is almost too hot to hold, I'm not a tortilla newb, either. I have to say - and I am almost embarrassed to say this - I liked Trader Joe's flour tortillas a lot more than these. TJ's reminded me of HEB's. Of course they had Mexican Coke and Jarritos, and they also had banana and grapefruit sodas, which I had never seen before. And they also had Topo Chico, which I haven't been able to find since moving to NC from Texas! Only mineral water, no lime. I love their cheese section - I wish I had taken pictures. I saw Salvadorean and Honduran cheeses and cream, which I would love to try in the future.
