We worked with Olivia, and she was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, she made me feel comfortable and truly listened to what I thought I was looking for in a wedding dress. As we went through the appointment, she helped me refine my preferences and ultimately discover what I really wanted in my future wedding dress. I appreciated that she encouraged both my guest and me to pull dresses that caught our eye, while also selecting additional gowns based on what she was learning about my style. It felt very collaborative, personalized, and pressure-free. The entire experience was wonderful, and I felt genuinely well taken care of throughout the appointment. Another huge plus is that they offer dress rentals, which is a fantastic budget-friendly option for brides. 10/10 experience--highly recommend to any bride looking for a fun, comfortable, and supportive dress-shopping experience!

Unfortunately there were issues with the first dress I chose and we had to pick a second dress. It was a very difficult process and it was an emotional experience. I will say that Olivia worked hard to ensure I was taken care of by the end of it all. Ultimately the second dress worked out well and I felt good on my day which was the most importantly part. I highly recommend that if you get any alterations done in house that you work with Lagaya (I do not know how to spell her name- sorry) she was fantastic- she is only there on Sundays.

Shopping in Downtown Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. Looking for a gown for a formal wedding, I entered Do's Formal. Located on the corner of King Street and Smith Street, I parked in a loading zone which is free after 4pm. Inside, the store is filled with many gowns and even tuxedos! The variety colors and styles is overwhelming. I saw the arrows on the ground which help customers because a person could get lost in there! Service was friendly in the beginning, but cooled off in the end when I didn't like the dress that was suggested to me. I went in the dressing room, but didn't need help with the zipper. I did pull the straps shorter for a better fit, but tailoring the dress would be too much. If you need a wedding gown, suit, or prom dress, take a look here! Some styles look like beauty pageant fashion!

Her staff pulled 3 dresses for my were daughter who was shopping for a wedding dress for a Fall wedding 2026. We had gone to 2 stores in LA where she lives and couldn't find anything in her price range, under $1,000. I had made 2 bridal appointments since she is home for the holidays! The first one we canceled because the girl who was going to assist had a cough! Even though, she would wear a mask, we didn't want to take any chances! So fortunately, we went here Do Formals! It is in Chinatown and since it was a Sunday, we could find street parking! The first 2 dresses fitted her perfectly! "Like a glove" no alterations needed except to hem! They both were beautiful that we couldn't decide which one we liked more! It was the same price too $799! My daughter decided on the second one cause it would match her lacy sneakers and it had pockets! Who doesn't like a dress with pockets! Jackie helped us find the perfect veil! The lace on the outer edges matched the lace of her dress! The veil was so reasonable too! Only $69! What a deal! Spending 90 minutes to find the PERFECT gown and veil within her budget was so Lucky! It was fate! Will be back to get it hemmed! Thanks a million Jackie for all your help and valuable recommendations!

Let me start off by saying that the ladies who work here are literal ANGELS. They are patient,…read morekind, accommodating, and are truly there to help you find a dress that, in their owners words, "make you feel like a million bucks!" I visited Casablanca over a little less than a year ago now, and from my first visit to my very last, they were amazing. First off, don't be fooled by their smaller boutique, they have many dress options and were super accommodating on me wanting a long sleeve dress to cover my arm tattoos. They were totally non-judgemental and made me feel beautiful no matter what dress I tried on. I ended up going with a fitted mermaid style dress that was not what I expected- I originally wanted an a-line dress but somehow I fell in love with a totally different dress style. The dress was about 1-2 sizes too small, so we ordered the dress in one size up per the owner and 6 months later, my dress came in. Now, the only thing they didn't do was measure me at my first appointment, so unfortunately when the dress came in, it didn't fit me perfectly. It was definitely too tight on my arms and my chest area. They did say they could take out the dress and make alterations, but my mom felt that there wasn't enough room to let it out. They ended up calling the owner, who allowed me to look at a few new dresses that just came in while she checked if they could order my dress in another size up. Mind you, this was 3 months away from my wedding date, so I was really nervous that it wouldn't come in on time. I ended up trying on another dress closer to my original vision, a-line, long sleeve, and totally beautiful. Now this new dress was 2 sizes too big, but because of the original dress mishap, they said they would provide alterations for free! I was stunned by their kindness and their need to make what happened right. So now, 3 months before my wedding, I now had a new dress, and they were able to alter it to fit me perfectly. And listen, their tailor is literally amazing- so don't doubt the power of a great tailor, because the dress literally felt made for me after being way too big. To wrap it up, on my wedding day, my wedding coordinator did not know/could not zip up my dress. I'm going to skip all of the crash out moments (lol), but long story short, we called Casablanca, and they a) tried to explain it over the phone, then b) facetimed us to try and show how to get the dress to zip up, and when that didn't work, they literally drove down to my wedding venue and helped me into my dress. When I tell you these ladies are angels, I MEAN IT. I could not believe how much they were willing to do to make sure I was able to wear my incredibly beautiful dress. THANK YOU Casablanca!!! I cannot recommend them enough. You all are amazing and helped me feel "like a million bucks"!

I have to start off with Rowena, who is amazing at what she does! I came in with an idea, a vision,…read morea budget range, sample images, and although I didn't get exactly what I had envisioned, I came out with an equally beautiful dress within my budget. Made an appt for the next available Saturday which was 3 weeks away. My wedding is 10 months away, so I knew I had to give enough time for shipping. If all goes well, the dress will be arriving 4 months to the wedding, to which we have ample time for dress fitting. There are 2 main waiting areas at Casablanca, downstairs and upstairs. We waited downstairs until the previous party was completed with their appt, to which we then moved upstairs. I showed Rowena pictures, she pulled a 3 options out. I already knew I didn't like the way some of them looked, she then pulled out 3 more. Then I tried them on. By that point, I already narrowed it down to that 2nd set of 3, Rowena had picked out. Came back the next day with my mom and sister for final approvals. Paid for and ordered a dress that Sunday. The process for trying on dresses was seamless and painless, thanks to Rowena. She truly is amazing at her job and makes you feel so comfortable. As for parking, there are a few stalls in their garage, or you can pull up on the grass up front if your car can go off-roading a little bit. There's also street parking nearby, but definitely carpool if you got several people coming by with you.

If you're on a certain budget and in search of a good place to buy an outfit for something special…read morecoming up, Zara would be it. Many of the outfits and looks are inspired by designer labels but without the designer price tags. Zara carries clothing for Men, Women and Children. Other stores offer Zara Home merchandise. They have free shipping to your home if you prefer not to carry it with you, return policy is pretty fair. Trends come by quickly as fashion constantly changes by the season and by eras. On occasion I'd come to buy an outfit, not necessarily come by for the basics. But the shoes aren't bad either, not the most comfortable. Proud to give a 4 out of 5 star rating!

I like this department store. If you like more trendy, contemporary fashion and higher end goods…read moreyou'll find this place hits the spots. And, when the sales hit it is an ideal time to pick up what you've only been window shopping. When they first opened there was a third floor cafe that was a favorite spot for a cocktail and a ramekin of smoked trout roe and creme fraiche w fresh potato chips. Caviar, creme fraiche, potato chips? Try it! The after work luxury of fine dining chefs, so I'm told. Unfortunately the cafe is long gone and although the facade remains the store tries to pretend it never existed. But I still hit the third floor for their bath towels and bed sheets. They're the best over-the-counter ones I can find in Ala Moana. I only need new stuff every two or three years but the sale prices make the purchases a good value for the quality. The second floor women's is a nice spot to check out if they have pop ups. While Nordstroms still has better overall service, Bloomingdales personnel will happily order in anything they have that is not in store - if you like higher end fashion they will help curate a rack of things to consider. I've bought higher end luxury tees in the past when they said they would get my size from another store (on the mainland). And their first floor sunglasses section is where I'll stop and try something on that's different - and yes, I've bought sunglasses here. They're on the Ewa side of Ala Moana at a nice intersection where you'll also find Aloha Collections, North Face, and Hermes. I like this department store. I only wish still had a place to stop in for a cocktail and a nice bite.

Review is when we went to this store on 02/13/2026 around 5pm…read more We were in the baby section looking for a car seat for our baby. It showed online that it was in stock in store. I asked a lady ( dressed in all hot pink ) who was near the baby aisle for help and explained that this (nuna revv carseat) was the one we wanted, but there wasn't a display model on the floor and we were ready to just purchase it. She then proceeded to walk over to the baby aisle, and we followed her. Instead of checking the system, she kept looking around the floor for the car seat. We explained multiple times that there was no display model and that the website showed that it's in stock in store. This went on for a good 5mins. She asked, "Is it like this car seat?" and I replied, "Yes, it's the same brand but a different model." For some reason, she continued trying to find it on the floor. At that moment, I felt awkward like I looked at my partner and he just knew. She then said, "Yeah, whatever car seat you see here is what we have." She didn't even bother checking in the back or looking it up on her phone to confirm whether it was actually in stock -- which was frustrating. If it's not on the floor, wouldn't it be stored in the back? At the very least, she could have checked instead of dismissing us. We ended up leaving and going to Nordstrom instead. The associate there went above and beyond to locate the exact car seat we were looking for because in the system it says they have it. He said he went to 3 different storage just to find it. He even apologized because he said it wasn't his department but wow he was just awesome. Anyways just go Nordstom. Better customer service and they always approach to see if you need anything. Not once anyone approached us at Bloomingdale, it was super awkward but whatever.
