The ice cream is delicious and the service was quick and awesome. We got small twisters and both loved them

Dirty. Ice cream all looks like its been melted and refrozen. Don't bother. Better ice cream at the Launching Pad down the street.

Consistently great ice cream and excellent service. We are delighted with the menu, the variety, and the cost. Great find on old route 66.

The employees are nice and attentive and it looks like it gets its fair share of locals and those like us passing thru. It is across the street from the Launching Pad so it made for a place to hang out for a while waiting for the Launching Pad gift shop to open.

Setting expectations: Ever have a favorite shirt that you never want to throw out because you just love how comfortable it is? Worn and maybe a bit frayed but just feels good? That was this restaurant. There is evidence of a morning rush all around me but we had a clean booth to sit at in this small place. It had decent enough coffee, it is not a latte place. I had the Western omelette with broccoli added. I forgot to say no American cheese but it was still good and most importantly to me not drowning in cheese. It came with American potatoes (similar to hash browns but in bigger chunks) that were amazing. Brown and crisp and somehow not overly greasy. My husband's fries are of the crinkle type and they were crispy and so yummy. My husband had the Patty melt which he also liked. Know this is a privately owned, old, worn restaurant but there is something so relaxing and comfortable about this place. Normally restaurants these days seem so stressful, people yelling, over done menus, false smiles. It was just nice to have a decent chill meal. TLDR Know it is a diner. It was a good meal and worth going to. Don't expect a latte.

The woodwork with the tables are sturdy and was fun that the resin pour there were lil sharks in the table. So fun. Now the food. Very reminiscent of the Polish restaurants I remembered going to as a child with family on the South side of Chicago. Their house made bread with butter was very good. My husband got a beer and liked it so much he got bottles to go. He had gotten the breaded pork chop stuffed with cheese. I got pierogi and sides of fried cabbage and the sweet and sour beets. Would recommend all of it and would get it all again! Looking forward to our next visit.

A True Gem for Polish Cuisine Lovers!…read more We had the pleasure of visiting Delight Wish on a Thursday night, and what a fantastic experience! Our party of two was seated right away, with no wait, making for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and I absolutely love the huge wooden tables--plenty of room to spread out all your plates and truly savor the meal. Their drink selection is impressive, featuring a great variety of European beers, wines, sparkling wines, and classic Polish/Eastern European liquors. I ordered a Prosecco (they offer convenient, single-serving bottles--such a great touch!), while my friend opted for a Perła (Polish beer) with raspberry syrup. If you've never tried this combination, I highly recommend it! It's a nostalgic taste of Polish summers--a crisp Polish lager or pilsner with a hint of raspberry syrup. For food, I ordered the sauerkraut and mushroom pierogi, while my friend chose the potato and cheese (ruskie) pierogi. We both had them fried to perfection and served with sour cream on the side. Absolutely delicious! I also added a side of beets with horseradish (a perfect complement to the pierogi) and a serving of bigos (hearty and flavorful--just as it should be!). The prices are reasonable, the portions generous, and the flavors authentic. Plus, while you're there, you can pick up Polish bread, candy, chocolates, and chips to take home, making it a perfect spot to stock up on your favorite treats. I'll definitely be back--and if you're in the area, this is a must-try!
