They were told repeatedly he cannot sit in those chairs. The salesman SAW him struggle to get in and out of their vans. They didn't care. They made a bet for breakfast that the presenter couldn't get us all to sit down at once. We told him... Again... that he physically can't sit down because of SPINAL MUSCULAR ATROPHY. He begged us to sit anyway and said he'd "help him up" so he can get free breakfast. Ableist and disgusting. You're making bets about forcing your disabled guests to do things that aren't physically safe or possible for them? Your little bet tells me everything I need to know about your company and your sales tactics. He also used his father's cancer as a scare tactic to get people to buy. "You never know when family members will be gone." He ALSO said "you can't fix..." and trailed off before saying "stupid" when I told him I wasn't interested in buying. I said "Careful. Be careful." Never do business with this company. Honestly, even getting $500 worth of tickets for sitting through this nauseating experience was barely worth it. Get all the way out of here with your fake, condescending nonsense. The ONLY redeeming part was the two kind women who ran the rewards desk at the end. They were very upset when I told them about the sales guys' bet. Still, unfortunately, they're not the crux of Lifetime Destinations. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Zero stars.

We checked into 1404 yesterday (4th floor) and things were fine except there was a huge red line…read moreacross the wall where a previous guest decided to rearrange the furniture. While in the restroom, I noticed reddish brown drops on the wall tile and vanity. After taking a shower, there was a huge pool of water because the seal on the door was damaged and not attached to the glass door so the door didn't shut. The fan in the bathroom was also not connected to the ceiling and was extremely dirty. The security door latch also was pulled from the wall and was barely hanging onto the wall. When we tried to dial 0 to call the front desk, the automated mesaage on the phone said that operator services would not be available after Dec 2017! Really?? It's Aug 2025! How is one supposed to now get ahold of the front desk from the room? We had to get in the car and drive to the front desk. Sharon was super apologetic after we showed her the photos. She had to call her supervisor to get authorization and wanted to get us in a cottage but you could hear the supervisor clear as day over the phone say "No!" We were told that they couldn't move us to a cottage because we're owners and used points and they couldn't do a double upgrade (going from studio to a 2 bedroom). When Sharon talked to her supervisor, Sharon told her that only 1101 was available as 2 other condos were out of commission as well. So we were told we would be given 1101 which is 1 level BELOW the parking lot. Ok, it is what it is. In 1101, the bathroom had all the cabinet doors open that it looked like someone ransacked the bathroom. No toiletries were on the vanity. There was also no coffee nor laundry detergent in the condo. Basic housekeeping items that is supposed to be in the condo. Upon further inspection of 1101, there were dead bugs that we assume were coming in through the unsealed front door since you could see daylight coming through and the security latch was completely missing from the door. We had to go back to the front desk and politely asked Sharon that she needed to call her manager to find another solution as 1101 was even worse. Upon calling the front desk manager (Sharon's supervisor's supervisor) who authorized the move to a cottage, we were able to move. When we returned back to 1404 to get our items, the pool of water from the shower was gone meaning that it soaked into the floor and will lead to a mold issue if it's not already there. Out of the 12 condos, 4 had issues (incl the 2 I listed) and it's quite clear that it's in shambles. What is my HOA paying for because it certainly isn't for the upkeep of the building. It also feels that the building is the red-headed stepchild of the resort and it's still pricey. 75k points for a week in Aug for a studio is ridiculous especially when we were sold into the program that we could get a cottage in the village for 75k points.

We had the condo booked for 7 days/nights (Saturday to Saturday), but we did not get here until Sunday. My father in law checked us in and had all the paperwork ready when we arrived on Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, our designated condo was hot, like in the 90s, and the air conditioning was not working. My father in law called the office, and the woman who answered was being wishy washy and said they would eventually get a maintenance person to look at it. Couldn't tell us a time or even an approximation of when they will fix our issue. Mind you, it's been in the upper 90s to slightly over 100°F lately. Having been left in limbo, we called again about 45 minutes later, and the woman who answered the phone was nicer. She put us on hold for less than a minute while she spoke to her manager. Shortly after, the maintenance guy came and checked a different room, told us we would need to move, and that he was just waiting for the main office to call back and give the go-ahead. So we moved one level down to an equivalent condo. After moving our things, we were hungry and decided to go to the main office/check-in area to swap the key cards for the correct room. The woman did not even allow us to speak. She simply stated she knows what's going on. Then she got confused, taking 4 tries to finally get the condo number correct. If she had just listened rather than acting frustrated and upset, it would have been done correctly the first time. Customer service was really disappointing at this point of our trip. Also, when we finally got the new condo, the bed wasn't made. We made it with the extra blanket they have stored in the closet. The good news was that the replacement condo appeared to be clean when we moved in there. On the first day, we woke up to a blaring fire alarm before 7 am. Great way to start a relaxing trip, right? No. Fortunately, the remainder of our stay was better. Although you can hear everything in the condo, the area had some upside such as 2 swimming pool locations by where the cottages are, an on-site restaurant and bar you could walk up to from the pool area, and some resort activities for families. They also have a dock you could use if you're bringing your boat or renting one. The condo had a huge bath tub, it was sort of broken and refused to drain at first, but it was nice for relaxing. I went to the restaurant at the resort for lunch. Not super horrible. The huge bathroom with 2 sinks was great. The balcony, while nice, offered only a view of some unfinished grounds, the trailer for housekeeping, and some trees, but nothing exhilarating. This was a place to get some sleep, but we never did get anyone to come and make the bed or give us proper bed sheets.

They have awesome kids pools, but they were all closed for maintenance. There is however a fairly small but nice playground that our 2yr old grandson thoroughly enjoyed. Our house had A/C issues, it never did get down to the low 70's which we set it for despite being a fairly mild weekend. The whole family got a kick out of the watching the ground hogs which are everywhere! We saw very little of the staff which seemed odd but not a problem, and they were very friendly. With the closest lake access being a couple minutes driving distance, and the closest beach being even further, the pool not working left us very little to do on site. If you do go to the beach, be aware that the entry line is insanely slow and chaotic. People yelling at each other and a police presence, After about 10 minutes in line, we along with several other vehicles left without ever getting in. I suspect the earlier you go the better chance you have.

I showed up to check in and while i was in line I overheard the people in line beside me. They were surprised and happy that they had only booked a 2 bedroom and they were given a 4 bedroom. When I came up to check in they told me that I had booked a 2 bedroom and that they were out of 4 bedroom units. That's not possible because they have limits on how many people are allowed to book a 2 bedroom unit. I went out and got my phone and showed them the reservation that clearly showed my reservation for my family of 7 that was booked for a 4 bedroom. They told me they had none left. I asked them if we could get two 2 bedrooms and switch to a 4 bedroom when one became available. They said they would have one available 2 days later and we waited 20 minutes for them to get it straightened out. They assured us that they would put priority on getting our place ready first thing Sunday so we could get moved early in the day. I also asked if we could have a restaurant voucher for our trouble. They gave us a $60 voucher for 7 people that didn't even cover 5 of us and had an 18% gratuity automatically added. Our cottage wasn't ready early as promised so we decided to go swim while waiting. When our room was finally ready Sunday afternoon we all packed up and left the pool, picked up our cards from the office and went to move our stuff only to find out that they had already deactivated our cards at the first cottages. We had to go back to the office where we were gaslit again. They told us they didn't deactivate the cards and we must have accidently de magnetized our cards. All 3 cards! Yeah right! When we got home I called to try to get a partial refund and was told to call Expedia. They lied and told Expedia that I booked a 2 bedroom and denied my request and made a big deal that they compensated me with the $60 restaurant coupon. Expedia had my booking right in front of them and didn't even fight for me. This was the first time in 11 years that were able to take a family vacation and our first vacation ever with our grandkids. Our daughter has an illness that limits her ability to travel and we had this small window of time to all be together and our first 2 nights together were taken from us. As much as we paid for this place I expected to get what I paid for and not to be gaslit and treated so poorly. The place was otherwise nice and we would have come back but after this, NOT A CHANCE!
