There's food and pop in the fridge for no extra charge. We had a fuse blow out as can happen in an older house and they were here in 10 min and fixed it. The house was built in 1888 and oozed old-world charm. Antique furniture everywhere. They have DVDs and VHS tapes of all genres downstairs. We played several in the room. We were pleased with each cottage. It was so much nicer staying here than at a cookie cutter hotel. This would be a nice place to stay for a couple or a family. It was a reunion of sorts for our family and the facilities were perfect. There was ample space for cooking out or in. The kids had the freedom to run and play and there were plenty of options for the adults to visit. As we all know, everyone needs a little time to be alone on a family weekend and there was room for that as well. The lake was not usable when we were there, I don't know if that's changed. The geese were very comfortable around people but did not prevent us from enjoying the outdoor areas. If you don't want to be in town but wish to be close to town or if you like more space than a hotel room offers, this would be a good option. The cabins are decorated nicely but no one will be afraid to sit on a chair or use a table. Staying here made it easy to enjoy our weekend and our family.

We could hear the live music from bason park but not overly so. The hot tub was great. One major jet wasn't working but was not a big deal. Went back about 6 month later and rented the area downstairs also. Wow that was great for our young adult children. Overall I would rent this place a third time and would highly recommend to someone else. I forgot to mention, if you are a bath tub person, you will get lost in the Huge claw tub!!!

All of the little things that we needed during our stay were provided (ie. corkscrew, foil and gas for grilling, firewood for the fireplace, etc) We went for a walk on Saturday to see the lake and saw a bald eagle perched in the tree. It was literally 10 feet away from us! We also went in the newly constructed cabins which were cutely decorated just like our cabin. The lake is smaller so it's easy to take a morning and evening stroll around it to get your daily dose of nature. Our cottage was clean, comfortable, and adorable. I'd even say luxurious!! The pictures on their website aren't overselling-- it's really that perfect! We stayed in a pet friendly cottage (Gingerwood) with our two dogs, but you couldn't tell at all that it was "pet friendly" like a lot of other places (no bad smells or stains). The amenities were fantastic, too- the kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom was nicer than the bathroom in my house! Ha! The location is really close enough to town (Eureka Springs) that you can drive in for food and activities, but it's secluded enough to be away from all the traffic and noise. It was a truly perfect getaway and we plan on going back for an anniversary someday. The price was extremely reasonable, and their online reservation system was easy to use. On our last day there, Faryl (the cottage keeper who lives on-site and is very friendly) even texted us and invited us to come witness the birth of their new baby alpaca! It was such a cool experience and we were impressed that she had the presence of mind to invite the guests while she was serving as a midwife for the alpaca mama! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
