Extremely Disappointed and Concerned About Today's Service…read more I'm very upset with the service I received today at Valvoline. What should have been a routine oil change turned into a frustrating and concerning experience. A technician jammed an evac tube into my oil well in an attempt to drain the old oil -- a method I've never seen used before and clearly not the right one( Jamming the tube into my engine). I sat for 20 minutes before anyone even explained what was happening. The only reason I was told anything was because I walked over and asked why they were yanking under my hood. I ended up waiting for 2.5hours while they kept trying to remove the tube and pieces from my engine -- without giving me any proactive updates or clear explanation at all. Now, my car is disabled, and I'm stuck with no vehicle. It has to be towed to a mechanic because of their mistake. As a customer, it's incredibly disappointing not to be able to trust professionals with my vehicle. I expected basic communication, accountability, and care. Instead, I was left in the dark and now dealing with the consequences of careless service. This experience has completely shattered my trust in Valvoline.

The next day I called the shop to check on my car and was told my Chris that my tires wouldn't be arriving until Wednesday and that that's been the note in my file since Sunday. I explained that an employee named David called me and told me that my tires would be done on Tuesday and he explained that he couldn't see any reason why David would have called me and told me that. Chris offered a discount as an apology while the phone. I picked up my car when it was ready, and the same employee David came up to my husband and told him I had 2 bent front rims. I found it very interesting that he didn't bring up my bent rims when we were on the phone on Monday and that my rims were suddenly bent after I complained about the employee lying to me over the phone. The discount Chris offered over the phone was also not given at the time of payment. Looking into possible legal options now. You get a comprehensive check list with your oil change and while they will make recommendations, nobody will push you to add additional services. Prices have been reasonable in my opinion and I always know my vehicle will get properly taken care of. One time my tire pressure sign came on and since I was just around the corner I asked them if they could take a look and they were able to squeeze me in within 15 minutes, great service all around! Scheduling is always easy over the phone and their night drop off is seamless. If you prefer you can have them send all service communications through text and then approve or reject additional work online. Highly recommend Gabe's!

Extremely bad work and shoddy parts…read more I had them install new brakes in the summer of 2024. By the winter of 2025, the brakes were wobbling. Apparently the brakes they installed were faulty (the rotors warped), but they still charged be $200 to replace them even though they were still under warranty. That would be fine, I guess, if they had done a good job or used good parts the second time, but it's been 2 months and my brakes are grinding and slipping. Apparently, the pins, the rotors, the pin boots, the pads, and a few other parts are so low quality that they're falling apart already. At this point, I'm not trusting my car to these guys again. I took my car to the mechanic near my work in Fredericksburg and paid him $500 to just do the job correctly. I deeply regret not taking my car to him in the first place, as he would have done a good job, stood by his work, and I wouldn't be out $700 for bad work and bad parts. Do yourself a favor and go to a different mechanic.
