The personal attention to detail in all of of the clothing items is second to none, you would think you were shopping on Newbury St. in Boston but instead you can do in in NH with no sales tax and much MUCH better prices! Janet and Amanda are simply the best. I have made this a weekend destination stop for the last three years. If I call ahead, they will have a dressing room waiting. The jeans are worth every penny. I have worn everything for years that I have bought and still get compliments. Amanda hand picks every item in the store and it shows. LOVE THIS PLACE! I am not kidding when the first time I did a shopping session I teared up in the dressing room because for the first time, every thing just FIT because Janet and Amanda picked out exactly what would look good on me. More importantly, they were the first to show me about SPANX... the love fest continues. They will even ship to you direct if you need it, I fell in love with a coat and they remembered, sent a personal email, and shipped it right to my office in Cambridge with no extra charge. No where can you get customer service like that.

I stopped in, December 2023, with a project in mind. You see, I have a great belt. Leather with a sturdy brass buckle and brass grommets all around; instead of a few holes. Unfortunately, it was starting to tear and wearing it became difficult and less frequent. I decided that Limmer may be able to help. The small staff gathered around, looked at it. Felt the material, quality. And threw out some ideas. At the time, I was hesitant and told them I'd think about it. Fast forward to June 2026. I went back to Limmer, and spoke with a guy named James. Laid back, positive and very into his craft. I remarked to him that if I worked at this cave of creativity, I'd be a very happy person. He took the belt, came up with some ideas and said he'd try his best. James called me about a month later reassuring me that he didn't forget about me, or my belt. I got a follow up call Mid-August with the sad news that the belt was too far gone to bring it back 100% He put a couple of stitches in the leather, that would hold for a while. James actually sounded disappointed, that he couldn't do more to fix my belt. He mailed it back to me, free of charge and didn't charge me for the work, and more importantly, his time. In today's world, you really don't find that kind of genuine care, compassion, and all around good karma. Next time I'm in NH, I'll have to stop by and say hello. Maybe even buy some boots. You should too

I was hoping they wouldn't be able to do anything about it because I'm trying to surprise him with one for Christmas (if I can find it!) They were so understanding and attentive, incredibly sweet. They brainstormed together on how they could fix it and we ended up deciding against it because it would be a lot of man-hours put into hand making a new one. Whew! This is a family business that started in 1919 in Bavaria and has been open in NH since 1950. They specialize in hiking boots and they're known to have a 2-3 year waitlist for custom boots! They also have boots in stock you can purchase, if I were a local I'd definitely get a pair. Since we're up here twice a year we may just decide to!
