Regardless, I find comfort in Korean hair salons, and am living proof of the efficacy of brainwashing. So when I found Park Jun on Orange around the same time that my bangs were going rogue, I decided to break my no-haircuts-in-New-Haven rule and see what happened. The space is clean, well-kept, and pretty open, with most of the interior visible through windowed walls from outside. I walked in and the lady on duty, who I suspect is the owner as there was no one else around, asked if I could wait for a little bit while she finished up with another customer (a male of, I suspect, the Korean persuasion, who minutes later had a spiffy haircut). I didn't wait long. I asked for a basic cut, and that's what I got. Shampoo, cut, blow-dry and all took twenty minutes or so, and cost a reasonable $40. Or was it $30? Shit, there go my "Useful" votes. The lady was very friendly and asked me questions about myself as if she were actually interested. She didn't judge me for my totally worthless language skills either. The one thing that I did find pretty funny was that I left the place with my hair styled almost exactly like hers, kind of straight with the ends curled in, and not a whole lot like mine when I walked in. It didn't matter though, as it washed back to normal, and I was happy with the cut. I'm glad I found this place and I'll be back again for East Coast hair maintenance.

She even washed my hair with a different clarifying shampoo brand and got mad when l asked her to use the BB shampoo and told me they all do the same and it's not her first time doing BB!! But the owner of this establishment is probably the worst offender. In Milford, many establishments have been extraordinarily patient and helpful when I have brought my mother into the public sphere. Out of all of them in Downtown Milford near the Green, the owner of this place is the only one to be a despicable person. So far as the quality of the hair cut, it's nothing special. I've gone to $150+ places in Fairfield/Westport, and sub $50 places in Milford, and for this old lady they all look the same to me.

I spent a day crying and finally today able to take time to post a review. I had gone in after months of research and saving up and wanted multi highlights with obvious highlights showing and keeping more red undertone. The picture on left is the coloring I wanted and the one on right is what I got. Everyone who has seen my hair says it's nothing like the picture. Nor is the cut anything of quality. I could have cut my hair probably better. Again picture on left is the layers I asked for (mind you I had very long hair and a lot to work with) and the cut (in right).
