The nachos were good, but not good enough for the one hour wait. The service was AWFUL. Our server never cleaned off our table, gave off us menus, silverware or napkins, anything. It was like we didn't even have a server. We gave our order to the bus boy, and he was the same one who cleaned our table off. All the server did was rudely drop off our check. When we asked to speak to the manager, he was just as rude. Manager was unapologetic and extremely unprofessional. Will never be returning back. I have never had such terrible service. read more

Any place that offers $2 pitchers gets 5 stars from me. My first time watching a game there was on a UNH break so I am looking forward to a more packed venue next time, but the food was great and the staff was awesome. It was towards the end of the night and they had extra of their special (which was tasttyyy) so they brought us an extra serving. The old Libby's burned down before I turned 21, and I had graduated after it reopened, so I don't have a lot of memories of the place from my student days. It has been a go-to bar for UNH kids for a long time, though. In general, it's nothing special, but it's a good go-to bar and grill. The food is a couple dollars more expensive than it should be, and beer selection isn't terrible, but limited. It's nice enough that you can take the family and they won't feel like they're in a gross student dive. The food quality is fine, maybe a little on the heavy side. The waffle fries are GREAT, though. Get those if you have the chance. read more

Dollar drinks and beat the clock nights at Libbys are unbelievable, but it's also a great place to grab a drink and some food while watching a game. Also a great place to pop in between classes to grab a few bloody Mary's, but that's only for the real ballers. The staff is awesome. The food is awesome. This place has the best deals on drinks! The best nights to go are Thursdays and Saturdays when they open up the dance floor downstairs. Sometimes they have special events on the dance floor, like Foam Parties! Highly recommend for a fun time! read more

Never ever go to Libby's Bar & Grill if you are married to a person born outside the USA or they will be labeled a "MAIL ORDER BRIDE" by the staff and diners. Our crime? During my 2minute visit to the lavatory, my wife rested her head in her palms. Upon my return I was most rudely alerted in front of the remaining patrons that "YOUR WIFE HAS BEEN SLEEPING AT THE BAR FOR THE LAST HOUR!!" This is simply untrue. I was with Sarah the entire time. My wife and I have just received the most horrible treatment. After spending 4+ hours drinking and playing pool/basketball arcade games we were muscled out by a bipolar member of their staff and shamed by the entire restaurant with chants which echoed " DONT BRING YOUR MAIL ORDER BRIDE HERE!! ' this followed my zero dollar tip which of course was instigated by my wife's forceful removal before my very eyes as I was expected to pay without batting a lash!! These bigots must be dealt with. Sarah was most confused and I had to explain to her the expletives that were hurled her way BY BOTH STAFF AND PATRONS. read more

Awful customer service and the staff is just overall rude. They were all definitely made fun of in high school and are now trying to make up for it. Unless you're there every night or have some sort of relationship to a staff member, be prepared to be treated like dirt. Don't go here, go next door to Scorps instead. read more

I had high hopes for this meal because it wasn't cheap. When struggling to pick what I wanted to eat because the food was pretty overpriced I couldn't help but notice it smelt like feet. Everyone else at my table agreed. The service was OK but the table next to me was really rowdy and our waitress was being practically sexually harassed. I knew that it was a bar and that was what I should expect though. The food took a long time to come out and when it did I was less then impressed. It was an Ok burger but for 10$ I wanted something delicious. I have better burgers at home. Also the French fries were pretty soggy. I couldn't help but want to leave the entire time and it was hard to eat with the raunchy smell of feet at the same time. Everyone had food left on their plate but none of my friends wanted to bring it back to the dorms with us. At the end I had thrown 20$ and was wishing I had just ate in the UNH cafeteria. The food is good and the drinks aren't bad but sometimes with drinks like tequila sunrise the orange juice tastes like it was left out over night. Over all it is the best bar in Durham and has a good atmosphere. read more

As we were staying in town on Holiday weekend- last minute vacation- we went looking for a local place that had food and a full bar- 4 of us had dinner - and a few drinks - came to over $150- little expensive but food was good and server was pleasant- went up to sit at the bar to visit and have a few drinks ~ each had several drinks - and several shots- we are in 40's - not some college kids- well bar service was sometimes slow and not friendly- after a while bartender said she couldn't serve one of our party because he had reached - ' his limit' because he had his mixed drinks and several shots - he would have to wait an hour to be served anymore alcohol-- have never heard of this before- we were not being obnoxious just trying to have a few drinks- you would think after she served the first couple drinks or shots- she would tell you there was a limit per person- per hour-- crazy - needless to say spent over $250 between food and drinks and then hear that-- sorry you didn't get the $50 tip we normally would have left ‍ read more

Avoid peak times (when students are celebrating), and the service and food are quite serviceable.

While the food was good, the service was terrible. When my friends and I entered the restaurant, we over heard waitresses complaining about their lack of tips that night, and we felt awful. We fully intended on paying for our meal, and tipping our waitress; however, we were never even waited on. A friendly bus boy passed by our table, and we asked him to put in our order for us. While he said he could not do that, he passed the message onto a waitress. When the food finally arrived, and if I may say it was not warm, we asked the waitress for napkins and water. She said alright, but never returned until she slammed the check on our table. My friend brought the check over to the waitress, and told her we would like to check in with the manager. He came over to our table, guns blazing, and only made the situation worse. He told us we needed to pay for our food, however that was not the problem. Between the service of the waitress and the management, we will not be returning to Libby's in the near future. read more

Here there are lots of specials and the service has been getting better - more staff and extra spots to buy booze on busy nights. The basement is usually hotter than hell and basically has it's own weather system; the atmospheric concentration is more evaporated sweat and booze than air, so take a deep breath before you head downstairs into the club area. The upstairs section is pretty nice, air conditioned, and I like the style. It's a college town bar, so the experience varies greatly with each visit. One of the nights (I think Friday) is ladies' night, so if you're a guy I suggest having a female buy your drinks for you. I recommend this place over Scorp's, no doubt. read more

I had a gr8 time here! I came to have a great time and that's exactly what I had; a gr8 time. I only ordered a blue moon, and it was draft... And I had to ask for an orange slice. My boyfriend and I went to Libby's for dinner and had absolutely terrible service. Our waitress, Jess, seemed annoyed from the minute she got to our table, to the point that I started feeling like I needed to apologize just for asking her for anything. My boyfriend's food came late (apparently it had to be remade after being dropped on the floor) and was under-cooked when it finally arrived. My waffle fries had bacon on it despite the fact that I ordered it without it, but the waitress didn't come back to check on us for me to be able to tell her. She finally returned quite some time later to drop off our check and when I told her that there had been a problem with my order she just looked at me and told me that she hadn't seen any bacon when carrying it over. When I showed her the pile of bacon I had pulled off before finally giving up on trying to eat the food, she didn't say anything, just took our credit card and left to ring us out. I don't think I've ever been somewhere that managed to mess up the order, give terrible service, and be shockingly rude in an hour long visit. read more
