May 26, 2026. Went with a friend. Waited 15 minutes for our menu, waited another 15 for our drink order, waited 15 minutes to get our drink order, gave our food order. Waited 1/2 hour for a salad and burger. Others who came in after us got their meals before we did. She told us that now the kitchen was caught up, we would be getting our lunch now. Over an hour later. Terrible service, long wait for anything, would not recommend to anyone. We were just two senior ladies trying to enjoy a rare day out. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday, and was really surprised by how empty it was. There was maybe one other table seated, and it was almost awkwardly quiet. Usually when a restaurant is empty I assume that the service on that visit will be a bit better since there are lest customers fighting for attention. Our server only breezed by once during our meal and seemed to be in a hurry. I don't enjoy being interrupted frequently while we eat, so it was fine by me, but I wish we could have gotten more water refills. We barely saw her at all while we were there to be able to even request anything until bill time. I had the pork belly sandwich (as a wrap) with a side of tater tots, and my dining partner had the pork belly sandwich (as a sandwich) with a side of mushroom soup. I'm really on the fence. The pork belly wrap was really messy. Now, part of this is likely my own fault for getting the wrap instead of the sandwich since the tortilla doesn't absorb the grease as well, but it was just way too greasy. I'm not sure if it was solely the pork belly grease or the coleslaw, but the wrap ended up really soggy and so I ended up just opening it up and eating it with a fork. I know that pork belly is pretty fatty in general, but I think that the grease could have been drained a bit. I also felt that the coleslaw and lettuce didn't do much to add a lot of flavour to it (it needed a little kick or sweetness) so it really did just feel at times like a salty and greasy mess. I tried my guest's soup and could say the same for that as well- it was oily but pretty flavourless. We added vinegar to it to improve it, but still... On the flip side... the tater tots were really yummy, I'm a sucker for crisp on the outside, warm and soft on the inside potatoes of any variety... so these really hit the nail on the head. I would come back for the tater tots alone! Now, it was my friend who had recommended this place and who swore it was usually better. I am inclined to come back and give it another shot, and will definitely update my review if it does happen to be better. It could have just been an off day. read more

Very friendly staff, good portion size, tasted great. Had chicken strips. They were hot and breading was tasty.

Went in later on a Saturday night. Place was dead. Ordered Lobster Dip (good) and Fish and Chips (average). Décor is fine. Staff were a bit inattentive, but it was the end of the night and there was only one other group in there, winding down on what looked like a birthday get together. Overall, nothing there to make me want to go back. If it's walking distance from your home, it's probably a perfectly fine place to walk to for a beer. Other than that, I think there are other places I'd rather go for food and beer. Particularly bad mix of random music was playing the night we were there. Would I return: Unlikely. Would I recommend: Again - it's A-OK, and good for a few beers if you're in walking distance. read more

If you need to feed a big group and don't mind lousy service, this is your place. Otherwise, try someplace else. The bar is huge and can accommodate your whole crew or team. Service is sub-par though... in a mostly-empty bar where we were one of only two groups, we told the server we wanted to order, she brushed us off with "yeah in a minute", and then she totally disappeared for 15 minutes. The food is solidly okay: better than passable but just shy of good. Beer and wine selection are reasonable but unremarkable. Pricing is average for a bar of this quality. Just stopped with colleagues for lunch. Ordered montreal smoked meat sandwich. The portion was quite small considering my meal came last and I probably finished eating first. $14 for sandwich that small and bland is just an insult. To make things worse I was offered sweet fries and chipotle mayo instead of the regular fries that come with the sandwich. That's all good, I expected maybe a few dollars more for the fries but $1 for the mayo? And at least mention to the customer when something costs extra. Service was decent. The interior looks old and unattractive. I remember some weeks before that we went to St Hubert across the street for lunch and got ten times better food for cheaper!!! read more

Great place for a dinner. I had the most amazing burger ever. The Jack Cheddar Burger. I'm quite a burger lover and this one was a pretty amazing one. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions, bacon, and a big pickle on the side. The cheese was melted perfectly. The staff was great. The seating a bit outdated. But this place has been around. read more

It is safe to say that St. Laurent Boulevard doesn't have a lot of quality bars. At night most stores on the strip are closed and finding a good place for a drink and a bite to eat can be difficult. Liam Maguires is a great option. It is what it is: a good pub with good food and good beer. Half pints and full pints. Domestic Beer and premium beer. this place is a safe bet all the time. The atmosphere is upscale pub, with a nice big bar, plenty of sitting room, a few comfy chairs to relax in and a huge patio. This is a perfect place to go for drinks with buddies, to watch the game, or even head to after hockey practice. The food is a mixture of Irish inspired dishes with the classic pub food. They don't skimp on the food, and expect to bring some home since the portions are a great size. The staff also help the establishment stand out. They tend to have great attitudes and a friendly demeanor. It's only downside is that not much else is around it. if you're looking to hit a few bars in one night, you'll have to cab from Liam's to get to another location. read more

Cons: few TV's and if it gets busy good luck getting a seat, some food dishes are lacking, dinner area is in need of a makeover. Overall just an average place to grab a drink and watch the game. Every time I go in here I am freezing!!! There is some definite heat issues in this building. The servers are not always super attentive. They are often chatting or flirting with guys at the bar. The foods decent. The fries are great ! It's a good place to go after playing sports and you'd like to have a meal with your team. A bit tricky to get to from innes road.
