Summary: I regret…read morechoosing Dr Ku to perform my tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and two separate arm lifts (bracheoplasty). I definitely don't recommend Dr Ku for those procedures. I'm unhappy with the results, detailed below. Details: First in 2022, I had a tummy tuck and an arm lift, both during the same surgery. Tummy Tuck Results: The left and right sides of my stomach didn't match. The stitches were tighter on the left end of the incision, creating a muffin-top effect only on that side. Arm Lift Results: My arms didn't match either. My left arm was itself unevenly proportioned, and it was larger than the right arm. (See photos) At post-op visits, I mentioned these concerns. Dr. Ku repeatedly responded by saying "the body is not naturally symmetrical". I felt like I was being dismissed. In my opinion, it's fair to expect matching arms after plastic surgery. If I were getting breast augmentation, I would absolutely expect my left and right breasts to reasonably match. I expected my arms to reasonably match. About a year later, I paid Dr Ku for a revision surgery. I had another arm lift. And I had abdominal liposuction to blend and smooth things out. The results: My arms still don't match. Also, the second surgery created a new fold on the back of my left arm near the armpit. Dr. Ku said the section had been "over-tightened". (See photo) Worst of all, now I have a very noticeable dog ear on my right elbow. A dog ear is an excess of skin and fatty tissue that pokes out at the end of the stitches. It's very embarrassing to me, I feel like it calls more attention to the scar. (See photos) Dr Ku said that in order to correct the dog ear, he will have to extend the scar further down past my elbow. So that would mean no chance of hiding the scar under short sleeves, which is very upsetting. First, he estimated that he could do the dog ear correction under a local anesthetic for a "few hundred". Later, after he saw the fold on my other arm, he said it would be fully another revision surgery. Well, I just couldn't afford a third surgery at that time. Call me crazy, but I had not anticipated needing two revision surgeries. I asked for an extension on his revision price policy, but Dr Ku said no. I could not understand the issue with giving me more time. We were already two years into this. I had been very patient with him! And I had tried so hard to stay positive! The whole situation felt very unfair to me at that point. I realized it was a bad idea to consider a third surgery with Dr. Ku. I was just blinded by the revision price. Fast forward to now: I seriously regret the arm lifts. Now, my arms are scarred, plus they don't match. I've been wearing long sleeves for three years, even in triple degree summer heat waves. I'm just so embarrassed. And I don't even know when I can afford another surgeon. I wasted so much money, time, risk, stress. Don't risk throwing away your dream surgery. Just choose another surgeon. Two stars because the staff is great, and the facility is nice. I felt safe having surgery there.

I want to start off by thanking Dr. Li and his wonderful staff. Everyone in his office is so amazing and sincere. When you walk into the office, you feel like family before evening having a consultation. Again You all are just amazing. I also want to thank the staff at the Archibald Surgery Center because they were so helpful and made me feel so comfortable before and after the surgery. And the Anesthesiologist was amazing at making me feel so comfortable that I was not at all nervous as they rolled me into the operating room. Dr. Li, you are an amazing person and surgeon. I would like to start by saying that I am a firm believer that people enter your life at certain times and for certain reasons. Dr. Li put a smile back on to a face that had not had much confidence in quite awhile. I met Dr. Li (and his beautiful, wonderful Staff) about a month ago for a consult for a breast exchange. The decision I had been wavering for about 3 years. Upon meeting Dr. Li, I was so impressed by his confidence and was able to understand and retain every medical detail he had explained. I am a 43 year old female, my initial implants were over 17 years old, 500cc saline implants and placed under the muscle. I exchanged the old implants for 800cc smooth round memory gel UHP implants. My procedure was virtually painless, surgery on a Friday, back to work on following Monday. Dr. Li is an absolute projectionist and pays much attention to detail. My breasts are tastefully done, big, but not over the top and VERY natural looking. I highly recommend anyone seeking any kind of knowledge on breast augmentation to go and at least speak with Dr. Li. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. I am a registered nurse myself, so with that being said, I know the difference between good and exceptional clinicians. Let me tell you, this team represents the very best of the best. The staff is extremely professional and equally warm. The minute I walked in I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Li was kind, professional and took the time to really listen to my needs. I'm extremely happy with my breast augmentation done by Dr.Li. He was professional yet funny. The process from consultation to surgery was smooth and he was very open to answer all of my questions. His examination and pre-op was extremely thorough and he drew on me, showed me diagrams, drew pictures, measured my chest numerous times, and sized various implant sizes and profiles. I'm one month post op and love my result. I went from a (Victoria Secret) small B to a full DDD, using 800cc saline implants filled to 900. So far I'm extremely happy and my recovery was smooth despite using such a massive implant. He gave me the result I wanted, meanwhile other doctors I saw claimed I could only handle 450-600cc's due to my small natural breasts. He is amazing and a breast genius! Highly recommended. I will update anything else if necessary. I saw numerous surgeons and he was the last one I consulted with, I walked out of my consultation amazed at his knowledge and immediately knew he was the doctor for me. Staff is also amazing. I cannot begin to express my satisfaction with the staff at the front desk, to the nurses, and Dr. Li himself. I went in for a breast revision consultation, my left saline implant ruptured due to capsule. (previous breast augmentation done by another Dr) anywho, When I first met Dr Li he made me feel very comfortable and went above and beyond during the consultation. We spoke for about 45 min. I couldn't believe how well he explained the entire process of what would be best for me & listened to my concerns, after the consultation I knew that Dr Li was the one for me. I booked my surgery within two weeks. The day of surgery came and of course who wouldnt be nervous! But every nurse in that facility was kind and courteous also professional. Dr Li did a terrific job removing my ruptured implants in a short period of time ( semi emergency) that I required. He and Dawn were professional, kind and closed me up so perfectly. I actually look fine without my implants and have elected not to replace them. Being in the medical field, you should know that dr Li is who all us professionals go to. Since my consultation with Dr.Li I felt very comfortable he truly is a great doctor, extremely knowledgeable and was able to achieve results i never thought were possible with my breast augmentation. My case was not the same as many others and he walked me through everything to understand my expectations. I'm in love with this procedure. It's been 4 days and my face is dry and starting to peel a little, but not to noticeable! I initially chose Dr. Nykiel based on his positive reviews, but I ended up feeling disappointed not only with my outcome, but also with how my experience was handled. I am a petite asian girl that already had a good foundation to begin with, so I thought there would be no issues with the outcome. We both decided that an upside down heart shaped butt would look best on me, even printing out inspirations of what I wanted. The surgery finally came (May 2025) and I woke up laying flat on my butt. Idk if that affected the outcome but my butt came out looking like a square, I tried to keep positive, as it was supposedly going to get better overtime. Every consultation I had with him, he always came alone in his office. I found that strange, because I have never had a doctor evaluate me without a second person there to be a witness. At a follow-up visit, I expressed that I was still unhappy with my results, and he asked me, "Have you thought about getting implants?" That comment left me frustrated and confused, as I had specifically come to him for a BBL. It made me question him as a surgeon, and why he would agree to do it in the first place. Since then, the consultations have felt like an ongoing back-and-forth without a clear direction or resolution, as if he didn't remember any of our previous conversations. At times, the outcome was attributed to my body composition, which I personally found difficult to reconcile with earlier conversations about my goals and expectations. During the last consultation on September 24, 20225, I made a point to document the interaction because I've consistently felt like I'm not getting clear or consistent answers from him. I asked if we could take before-and-after photos, and he agreed, so I took a few. I then asked if I could record a video of him explaining the results for my own records, and he initially agreed to that as well. However, once I began recording and asked him to walk me through the before-and-after, he became defensive and abruptly ended the conversation by leaving the room. This has been an incredibly long and difficult experience, and the way he handled it has honestly been traumatic for me. When I tried to confront him about everything, he yelled at me to "get out." I was left shaking and completely overwhelmed. This situation has caused me significant emotional distress--I think about it every day, and haven't fully recovered from the trauma. I'm sharing this as a warning to other women: please be cautious, and consider bringing someone with you to your consultations. In my experience, I felt dismissed and that my concerns weren't acknowledged, really thinking why (as a patient) I was treated like this. I am now trying to close this chapter of my experience with him, and hoping to get this fixed somewhere else. There was more unprofessionalism that Dr. Nykiel and the staff had me go through but I'm keeping this short.
