They have consistently started working well before the 7:00 a.m. legal start time. Sometimes as early as 6:00 a.m. I have reached out to the for-men and Holt Homes several times. Always being assured that this would stop. There is another builder also building in the same area, and they have always started after the 7:00 legal start time. Legally, they have from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., so I don't understand why they think it is appropriate to start hammering and being as loud as possible at 6:00 a.m. Based on their extreme lack of respect, I would NEVER buy a house they have built or refer a friend to them. He mentioned it twice.. I should have walked out then. Then during our conversation, he asked me a question about something and I looked at my husband to ask him for some clarification on a point that I was trying to get across, and Parameet says.." no no,, I am asking you.. you can look at me".. I was so shocked and my husband was very upset by his treatment of me. So with other people listening in, Parameet goes on and on about what is wrong with our situaiton, like we didn't know already, and that it turns out there really isn't "tons of programs" to help us out and that we really did just waste our time here. My husband asked how much of a down payment would be needed, and Paremeet said around 9000.. is about the average.. My husband said that he thought he saw a sign that said $0 down.. and Parameet quickly answered that was for Vets. This guy totally disrespected me and humiliated my husband in front of everyone there by talking very loudly about our financial situation and now they all know how much he makes, that I don't work, really? you don't work at all? Well.. it's a long story and if I'd known that was going to be requirement I would have passed up this appointment altogether. He already had the financial information so why he wanted us to meet with him knowing that he wasn't going to be able to help; is not ethical and professional at all as far as I am concerned. Maybe they do help a lot of people.. the ones that have the money and are not plagued with divorce mishaps and ill health. Avoid the humiliation if you don't have good credit and a sizeable down payment, they don't treat you very well. You can actually do the same with a real estate agent and not have to go through the embarrasment of being herded through an oversized living room and having everyone else know your personal business.

I was with my mother who lives here in Vancouver but I live in Austin, TX and I can tell you neither of us have EVER been treated so disrespectfully in any other home sites I have ever been to. We contacted New Trad and we were told that they would touch up a small area but it probably wouldn't match because of the age. We found out that NT uses only 1 coat of paint (~1.5 mil dry) on the exterior. The paint mfg recommends 2 coats 3 mil dry.

The quality of the workmanship is spectacular and the street appeal of the house is amazing. You could tell by the trimwork--cheap materials, poor workmanship, low-end finish; by the doors; by the design; We intervewed several other homeowners who felt the same way. We met the Quail Homes owner, who seemed crude and unprofessional, the project manager who's work ethic gave us pause, and some of the workers that appeared questionable. Take a look at the reviews on their website--you will see similar unfavorable comments from other customers. We are glad we went with another builder, and we recommend you do the same.
