No mask wearer here.. Parameet was late after asking us to be early, and then tried to blame us…read morefor being too early. I need to add here, that we spoke with him the day before this appointment was made and I stated then what our situation was as I didn't want to waste our time or their time. He assured me that it would not be a waste of time and that there were "tons of programs available" for first time home buyers and that there was no need to put this off just because we didn't have much to put down. So back to today, Saturday, 26th, 2020: We walk in early as planned, and he is running late. He tries to accuse us, somewhat nicely, that he isn't running late, and aren't we a little early? He mentioned it twice.. I should have walked out then. Then during our conversation, he asked me a question about something and I looked at my husband to ask him for some clarification on a point that I was trying to get across, and Parameet says.." no no,, I am asking you.. you can look at me".. I was so shocked and my husband was very upset by his treatment of me. So with other people listening in, Parameet goes on and on about what is wrong with our situaiton, like we didn't know already, and that it turns out there really isn't "tons of programs" to help us out and that we really did just waste our time here. My husband asked how much of a down payment would be needed, and Paremeet said around 9000.. is about the average.. My husband said that he thought he saw a sign that said $0 down.. and Parameet quickly answered that was for Vets. This guy totally disrespected me and humiliated my husband in front of everyone there by talking very loudly about our financial situation and now they all know how much he makes, that I don't work, really? you don't work at all? Well.. it's a long story and if I'd known that was going to be requirement I would have passed up this appointment altogether. He already had the financial information so why he wanted us to meet with him knowing that he wasn't going to be able to help; is not ethical and professional at all as far as I am concerned. Maybe they do help a lot of people.. the ones that have the money and are not plagued with divorce mishaps and ill health. Avoid the humiliation if you don't have good credit and a sizeable down payment, they don't treat you very well. You can actually do the same with a real estate agent and not have to go through the embarrasment of being herded through an oversized living room and having everyone else know your personal business.

Even though we arrived without an appointment, Kevin -- the Sales Specialist-- was incredibly patient and took the time to truly listen to our needs. He explained every option clearly and made sure we understood each step of the process. His communication skills were exceptional. After visiting several new‑home builders, we both felt that Kevin from NTH provided the best experience by far. If the location had been a better fit for us, we would have chosen NTH for our next home without hesitation.

This is a reputable local builder who stands behind their work by providing a 2 year warranty. We highly recommend NTH. In comparison, this year we moved to a brand new Pulte home. Within one month we had to file tickets for exceeding number of issues. We got to experience firsthand this national builder's customer care department - THEY DON'T CARE! Stressful! Lengthy response time and scheduling for repairs. Falsely accused us of breaking something where it's a simple manufacture defect. Serious repairs denied with no clear explanation. We believe this arrogant attitude stems from management and is a reflection of the overall company culture. Now, we've shifted from being enthusiastic supporters to advising against purchasing a Pulte home. If you do choose Pulte because you like their particular lot or model, be ready for very poor customer care experience after your purchase.

She goes above and beyond to ensure a positive customer experience. When bumps in the construction road became bumpy (as they always do in any construction project), she ran out ahead and removed the bumps. She is true to her word and gets things done. The huge design center has so many options, it can be overwhelming. But the designers there (I worked with Karen), were kind, patient and very helpful in helping to design my dream home. As a result, I have now lived in my home on the River for over a year and couldn't be happier in this development. They run a clean job so even with other houses being built around me, it doesn't feel like I'm in a construction zone. My year warranty was handled quickly and effectively. Billy did a great job with it and scheduled everything around my work needs since I work out of the home. My home is gorgeous and exactly what I wanted.

On 10/30/21, my spouse and I get a response back from Melina Eshinski, Garret representative, who quickly judged our request for information on Harber Inlet saying, "... based on our previous work together, I am unsure if they will fulfill your needs in a new home." Not clearly knowing what we intend to do in 2022, not even discussing what our plans are involving our next home, a Garrett representative made a decision call for us inappropriately. Seriously! Garrett you are operating from this approach - no one needs to be investing in your product. Buyers stay away from this builder or you will have someone passing judgement on your investment. We have never been though the process of a building a home before and to be honest, we heard some negative stories from people who have been through it with other builders. As we have watched Lennar do each piece of our future home, so far, it has been so easy, on time (even a little ahead). Maybe more importantly than how easy it has been is the quality and attention to detail we have seen that has made us feel grateful we picked Lennar. Not only are we getting the perfect floor plan for us with the amenities we need and want, but we are getting a quality home made to last. This past week we had our "dusty shoe" walk through. Not only were the builders we met nice, they seemed genuine. We didn't feel like this was a pain in the neck to them or that they had other things to do, which I am sure they did, but we felt like they really cared about the houses they were building and were mindful that they are building these homes for real people, not numbers. We really felt like they truly wanted us to know what was going on with our home, what they had done so far and why, and what would be next. The seemed smart, capable, caring and engaged. And again, the attention to doing things right and over and above came through. We felt like they were building a house they would build for themselves or someone they cared about, not going the cheapest and easiest route, but the best quality. Lennar's choice in tile, granite, and flooring is also perfect for us. We did pay extra to extend our flooring on the main and get upgrade cabinets, but this was easy and reasonably priced. While it's not possible to customize, we don't feel the need to as it seems they have planned well and are creating turn-key homes that are beautiful, functional, luxurious, and energy efficient. You know what you're getting and for what price. No surprises. We are very happy with the layout and we love the special features our home has like a nice big Spa shower in our master bath, open floor plan, qualities windows, a/c, tankless water heater, the list goes on. Every time we go see our house take shape we are thrilled. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. We have tried to be very careful not to go over when workers in the middle of doing stuff and trucks are coming and going, but when we have gone over, no matter who is working on our house they seem friendly and welcoming. I feel we are very fortunate to have chosen such a great builder and we are very grateful for how easy they are making it. We feel especially lucky since we didn't really know what we were doing and this whole experience could be so much more stressful, instead, it's been a good experience watching our house take shape and feeling good about how well made it is and beautiful it will be when it is done.
