We just closed on our new Kingston Homes house last week. Chris Galyon was awesome to work with. He seems to have at least four jobs but does each one extremely well. Our house was started as a spec home but we got into the process when it was framed. Chris had a vision for the house and had picked out was able to explain that perfectly to us. In addition, Austin, Casey and Dewey at the job site were amazing. They made sure the house was completed to perfection and had no problems with us bringing in people to measure for closets, window shades and furniture. The quality of the workmanship is spectacular and the street appeal of the house is amazing. To potential buyers in the Vancouver, WA area I would encourage you to take a look at the Kingston products. We interviewed a few local builders before we decided on Kingston. We were a bit apprehensive on building a custom instead of buying a spec home. Chris and his team made the whole process so easy. My wife and I moved from the East Coast and were looking to build a home. We met with three builders (New Tradition, Holt and Kingston). None of them seemed bad, but the things that were included as "standard" with Kingston seemed to be of better quality and their model home was beautiful. We started the process in September of 2020 and just moved in July 2021. We absolutely love the house, this was our first custom build and though there were a few hiccups along the way, in the end they hit every mark. Chris is a great sales manager, honestly that title doesn't suit him as he's also the architect, the designer, the advocate and sometimes the therapist. He guided us towards smart design choices, found ways to save us money and helped create our dream home. That's not to say he doesn't have a great team with him; Anita, Casey, Shawna & the rest of the team were amazing as well. If you're looking to build in the area, I'd really make sure you take the time to look into Kingston homes. Ok, I've left other 5 star reviews on Kingston and how much my wife and I love our new home and how great the quality is, Yada, Yada, Yada. Now, I just want to focus on one single thing just to show an example of the craftsmanship that this company brings to the work. I just noticed, after living in our home for 6 months, that the grey veins in our granite countertops match up to the grey veins running in the extra thick edges that we requested. Let me explain. When you add a thick edge, they just don't give you a thicker top. The top thickness is still the same. What they do is attach a thick edge so it looks like the slab is thick A mediocre builder will simply cut a random piece of material and attach it. It will look ok. Kinston, however, went the next step and cut the edge FROM the countertop slab and attached a the edge so they veins align! Now, that's workmanship! That's just one small example of the quality you will enjoy in a Kingston home. Thank you, Chris and the Kingston team. I can't resist sharing some other examples. Look at the glides on drawers on other builder homes usually you will see the glides on the sides. Not Kingston. Hidden underneath. Grout joints. Kingston matched the tile color and made as thin as possible. Built in flatware compartments! Built in knife holder! And here was the biggest shocker of all! While they were building our home, I received a call from the closet guy who ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED! What??? He actually asked me what I wanted him to build! I quickly went online and found baskets I wanted to put on shelves and he MADE OUR CLOSET shelving to fit the baskets!!! Who does that? It was so awesome. read more

Wow! Where do I begin? Choosing Kingston to build my home in Cloverhill was the best decision! I was able to truly customize the floor plan I chose. The "dream team" was easy to work with and they went out of their way to make sure I got everything I asked for. The build was delayed during the COVID-19 shut down, but once construction was able to recommence it went very quickly. A few issues have arisen, as are expected with any build or remodel project, but they have been handled skillfully and coordinated perfectly. Everything is how it should be! I love my new home! In June of 2020 we made the decision to build a new home that we could make our home for a long time. We also had our dad moving in with us and needed an option for a multigenerational suite. The sales team with Kingston really opened our eyes to not only the quality of their work, but how much we could customize and create our home the way we want it. We love our new Kingston built home in The Heights at Pleasant Valley. The floor plan is the Cannon. We've only lived in the home 2 weeks and already know we made a great decision on builder, location, and floor plan. The home looks and feels like quality throughout. During the inspection prior to moving in we spotted a couple minor things that needed repair. Kingston has been responsive in gettting these taken care of. They even pointed out things we didn't see (again all minor) and have repaired, or are in the process of repairing. Chris Galyon is Kingston's sales manager. We were so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the housing market that we contracted him to sell our exising home. By following his advice and direction on how to get our home prepared and ready to show, we were able to sell our home in 10 days. WORST builder I have ever dealt with (6th new home built). My home has had mold, water leaks, faulty appliances, terrible electrical, faulty heating. Have had to replace almost everything in the house including but not limited to the water heater, stove, microwave, sink and concrete. My switches all arch. They allowed me to finally use a different company to fix the heating system that was "repaired" more times than I can count, and now are trying to stick me with the bill. My contract states "propane tank included" and 2 years after the closing of the home and they received full payment for the house, they tell me that they only rented it, and that I need to start paying the rent on it. The complaints go on and on. They bully me because I am a single mother and just tell me, too bad, this or that is "assumed" and refuse to provide me with what I have a contract stating I get and they refuse to stand by their work. I would not recommend them as builders to anyone. read more
