When cleaning up, they cleared the gutters, ran a magnet around the yard to pick up and nails or metal that may have dropped. The roof looks wonderful. They even took pictures of the roof and gutters so we could see everything. They used great quality materials. When they came to pick up the trailer of trash, they even cleaned up a large branch from our yard so we wouldn't need to worry about it. Reeds did an amazing job. They deserve so much more than 5 stars.

When an issue came up 3 years later they did not honor the warranty because they said they don't do 'flat roof' replacement unless specified in the contract. There was also nothing mentioned about excluding the flat roof portion in the contract. My mother paid for a full roof replacement and got taken advantage of. Now the roof needs $2500 in repairs after paying over $17,000 to have it replaced 3 years ago. Do not trust this company or their work.

I have been a professional tradesperson for 50 years. I was recently hired by a client to…read morerepresent them in remedying the defective work performed by Catalyst Construction. The quality of their work, their construction knowledge and professionalism are nothing short of ABYSMAL. I contacted Ryan Klobas (the owner) with regards to his defective and delinquent work. I threated to contact the Builders Board to motivate him to show up. His response? He said that "PEOPLE ALWAYS TRY TO TAKE HIM TO THE BUILDERS BOARD, BUT IT NEVER WORKS," and then promptly contacted his attorney (who sent us a patronizing letter) instead of showing up to the job site (something he NEVER did) to remedy the situation. He bullied my female client (a mother of an infant). HE TOOK 14 MONTHS TO INSTALL 2 WINDOWS! It wasn't until I began proceedings with the CCB that Ryan finally agreed to complete (or attempt to) complete the project. I had to dry plans on his behalf (he did not seem to know how) to show him how to do a simple window installation. I specified the use of proper materials, as he had not educated himself on this common trade knowledge. I forced him to get permits and engineering for the structural damage he had done to the residence. He lied to my client, telling them that permits were "optional." HE USES A CHAINSAW AND A SLEDGEHAMMER (literally) to cut ROUGH openings into structural concrete walls. He installed his windows exactly backwards. He dug huge holes in the yard, leaving them all winter to fill up with water, which migrated into the house. He does not know how to caulk properly. He used finger-jointed (garbage) lumber, which disintegrated in 2 months time. There is not one aspect of construction, neither in the use of materials or in standard construction orthodoxy, that Ryan knows how to implement. He makes things and systems up in his head, uses materials against their intended purposes, then writes a letter telling my client that he is "innovative" by doing so, and that my client is "crazy" for suggesting otherwise. All of Ryans' employees who visited the site, refer to Ryan as "an idiot" and "a bully." One employee told me that he gotten abused by Ryan because Ryan hadn't given him the plans (which we provided) for the project. Ryan told his employee that he should "LIE TO THE CLIENT TO PROTECT THE COMPANY." Every one of his employees who attempted doing their mis-guided work on my client's house, ended up quitting, because of the way Ryan mistreated them and his clients. I am not sure where the positive reviews have come from, but I suspect they are fake. My female client was literally afraid for her safety. She experienced Ryan as DANGEROUS. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY.

We interviewed many companies who could either do the carpentry work OR the paint....but not both. After combing through the listings on Yelp, we had the good fortune of finding EvoSiding. Scott and Team have worked on two projects for us. First, they fully remodeled our ensuite bathroom…read moreand then finished our basement a few months later. Working with Amplified was an amazing experience. The second they finished our bathroom, we knew we had to have them back to work on the basement. Amplified Renovations takes every reservation you might have about a GC and turns it on its head. They communicate very well, are respectful of your home, and can work around your schedule (we have 2 young kids and 2 crazy dogs, and it wasn't a problem). They came in under budget 2x, and finished both jobs in about half the time we had been told it would take my other remodeling companies. We opted for their builder-guided selection method, where we told them our style, and they came back with material recommendations for items like shower tiles, vanity, and carpet. They just included this as part of their process with no extra cost in the bid, which was nice. They gave us the option to use their design partner, but it cost more, and there was plenty of design guidance from Ally and the team for our comfort level. You can tell these guys really care and enjoy what they do; It shows when they are at your house and with the finished product.

Hi, We had a…read morefantastic experience with Smith Hayes on a major remodeling project of an old 1920s home. The project consisted of constructing a new 800 square foot ADU on the second story, renovating the kitchen and cost about $250K. The project was completed in time and under cost, except for the additions and alterations we requested. Smith was patient -- this was all new for us and we were a bit worried at a few occasions, in hindsight, unnecessarily. Right from the first interaction, Smith was upfront and honest. His workers are highly skilled and respectful of the residence, always making sure to clean up and accommodating. Russell, the finish carpenter, did a great job matching the finish to the 1920s style. Overall, we had a great experience and won't hesitate to hire them for future projects. We recommend them highly! Zak
