While he may not have "20+ years of experience", he takes his craft very seriously and is a young shark in these Dallas waters. (Dallas realtors take note: you will find yourself on the menu at Uchi, gently seared and garnished with tobiko, in short order.) Shopping for a home here in Dallas from out of state was stressful and we engaged the services of a few local realtors to find one that was a good fit. (I am no stranger to buying property, and rarely feel that realtors add much value, but it was an easy way to preview the market here). Cody really changed my mind. He was incredibly prompt, professional, and really took the time to actually LISTEN to what we were looking for. And by listen, I mean beyond the basics of price point, sq footage, and style. He called when he said he would, and followed up at appropriate intervals. He did research on school districts, noise patterns from airports, produced maps for us, and went far and above what other realtors were able to do -- he's very tech savvy and FAST. I would receive emails from him sometimes within hours of properties going live on the MLS, compared to 7+ days from his competition. Furthermore, Cody is a truly enjoyable person to be around. He's funny, patient, engaging, and non-judgmental. He also introduced us to Top Pot Donuts! When you have to spend an 8 hour day together looking at properties, personality really counts. I'm hoping he can give my hair stylist some tips. While we were planning to move forward with Cody on a more intensive hunt, we ended up purchasing a listing FSBO, outside of the MLS, with no realtors involved. I relayed the news to Cody and he responded with warm wishes; another testament to his character and integrity.

We ended up taking care of her for the better part of two years until it got too much to manage. The house was on a one acre lot in Rowlett, and as you can imagine, was a lot of work to maintain. Before my father passed my parents bought a lot out in Heath and used Rod and his team, therefore I recognized the name. I called him when it was time to sell, and he came out and took a look. Rod and his team did so much, and Ashlea was an integral part in keeping me updated every single day and answering any of my questions. She did so much work to ensure the process was as smooth as possible. Of course selling is sometimes stressful, but this experience was one of the best I've had with people who genuinely care about being great people and helping as much as they can. Jodi Vinson (an amazing interior designer on the team) came out and took a look and gave her recommendations on what should be updated. We followed her advice and took a couple of months preparing the house. She gave us great info to all the resources for the estate sale (Chris Johnson did an amazing job), repairmen, etc. I don't know where I would be without this team. The house went on the market and sold within the first week. By far the one of the easier experiences in my life. Like I said, they are genuine people who care and take heart in your home. The house sold for listing price and we couldn't be more satisfied. I highly recommend this team and will absolutely be using them for anything real estate related for the rest of my life. Thank you guys for all of your hard work. Can't wait to reconnect in the future.

In the end, unbeknownst to me, I selected a place to live that does NOT pay a service like ASAP Apartment Finders a commission. She did not complain about it. From the beginning, she impressed us with her level of preparedness and professionalism. At our first meeting, she already had been looking at the value of the home we wanted to sell and had outlined a marketing plan. She was also quick to respond when we had questions and stayed in constant communication with us regarding feedback from showings and other events during the process. She helped talk us through every step of the way as we received an offer and went through negotiations. From the inspection, some concerns were noted. We contacted her to discuss it and she had already lined up the appropriate professionals to verify the concerns and prepare quotes to help us in our response to the buyers. Negotiations were smooth with no major issues arising. We had already narrowed down the general area in which we were interested in living. She provided additional information based on her knowledge of the area which enabled us to further narrow our search. We quickly found a property and she was on top of the negotiations. She has a team of venders available that was helpful as the inspection identified hail damage to the roof. Her roofer was able to provide verification and helped in working with the sellers to get the issue addressed by their insurance prior to closing. We highly recommend her for her knowledge, communication skills, and for staying on top of things every step of the way throughout the process.

Update as of 07/25/2025: Thank you for your follow up on…read moreYelp, however, they are filled with untruths and attached you can view all correspondence I have had with agents at your company. These screenshots demonstrate lack of response after the original inquiry as well as a concluded response to your second agent's inquiry. This includes the original conversation with Kelsie that shows I specified ESA pets, plural. We discussed the issue with insurance which is clearly covered under US Code: 42 U.S.C. 3604 (f) (3) (B) and elaborated on in US Department of Housing and Urban Development's FHEO-2020-01 Guidance, both of which would supersede any homeowner's policy and require the homeowner to make reasonable accommodations or show that there is no equivalent policy that would cover the breed in question. It should also be noted that the business owner's response to my update on Yelp still has untruth and still tries to portray us as an unresponsive and uncooperative party. Rebecca and her associates made no attempts at trying to contact us over phone call or over phone in general besides Kelsie's original text messages and that documentation can be provided as well. While it is completely our fault that we initially misspoke when trying to convey the proper code which was provided above in our response to Kelsie, this still does not justify the lack of communication and blatant disregard for the information provided upfront that both of our pets were mentioned as ESAs. Furthermore, after seeing the business owner's response and essentially trying to portray us as an unfaithful party, I can not in good faith genuinely say I would recommend this company as they do not seem to have the best interest ethically and the owner's response does not rectify the situation. Should you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me personally and I will be happy to discuss any further clarifications needed. However, my original review still stands: I attempted to gather more information about a property listing in Lavon due to conflicting information across multiple platforms regarding whether pets were allowed at the property or not. Kelsie made contact with me asking if we were still interested in the property. I advised that we were in fact still interested but would like more clarification when it came to the pet policy as we were unsure if pets would be allowed due to conflicting information. I provided the information that both of our pets were ESAs immediately before going any further and did not receive a response for two days until I reach out again. When following up, Kelsie advised to me that "owner's insurance does not allow aggressive breeds." When I educated Kelsie that ESAs were exempt from breed restrictions, information that I would already expect a licensed realty professional to know, she further decided that apparently, we would not be doing business together as she ceased all communications again. I am not interested in doing business with a company, more so, someone who claims they are a professional, that lacks communication and knowledge of their own profession. I wish I could comment further about the business as a whole, but unfortunately, Kelsie made sure that we would no longer be interested in dealing with the company in general after one simple inquiry into a property. I have also attached your response to my original review for reference to the update.
