They made an appointment for me, then refused to do the iv when I showed up. Stating they need an additional test that was not requested before, pushing an iv on me anyways that didn't benefit me at all. The poor planning, and pushing last minute tests, & reschedules, made this place a turn off. I don't have time to spend hundreds of dollars on my health & show up to appointments they obviously can't plan for.

I decided to try this new salon in Bastrop in the new Senderos shopping center. You never know…read moreabout new businesses in this town but I really loved this place! I did have a reservation and they seated me right away they have plenty of chairs for pedicures and nails and offer several other services. When I sat down, the first thing they handed me was the drink menu with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. My tropical peach drink was delicious! The lady doing my pedicure was very attentive and make sure I like the way she did everything. They even have a timer to assure that you get the length of the massage included in your pedicure. My only complaint was that after a while the music they were playing started repeating itself and I heard one song three times. They hand you a small clipboard when you first walk in showing what you have a reservation for and the nail tech can add anything else before you take it back up to the register to pay. They have a large variety of services and I cannot wait to get my nails done there. Everyone was very friendly and I was surprised when they even used real aloe vera leaves during my pedicure. They have one person specifically working the front desk so there is no waiting for anyone when you get there or when you leave. I will definitely be back!

VIP Nails & Spa is, without question, the worst experience I've ever had. This was my second visit. The first time, my dip started separating at the cuticle within a week. I decided to give them another chance two weeks later. My mom and I went together, and somehow the second experience was even worse. Jason did my mom's nails and Kimberly did mine. I brought a photo of exactly what I wanted, yet my nails looked nothing like the picture. Kimberly repeatedly scoffed and rolled her eyes whenever I tried to correct something. Jason was rude and a smartass with my mom. Neither of us left with what we actually asked for. The quality was just as bad as the customer service. My nail cracked straight across ONE DAY after my appointment. Three days later, one of my mom's nails completely broke, and the next day another one snapped off with very little pressure. These were supposed to be fresh nails--not nails that immediately started falling apart. Then came the bizarre payment situation. AFTER we had already left, the salon called and texted saying they forgot to charge us for the design. Within an hour, my mom's card showed that the original payment had been voided and they attempted to rerun the card for a different amount. When they couldn't process the new charge, they called and texted asking us to come back and pay again. This was supposed to be a birthday gift from my mom. Instead, it was an absolute nightmare. Bad work. Weak nails. Rude attitudes. Nails breaking within DAYS. And a completely unprofessional payment situation afterward. $400 wasted. After 12 years of getting my nails done, I can confidently say I have never had an experience this bad. We will NEVER be returning.

Things to know: I would call and make an appointment, I was lucky they had an opening that day and I did see some walk ins but I have a feeling they stay booked and busy.
