LEYDA IS AMAZING!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her as a person and a facialist. I've been getting facials regularly for more than a decade and have tried many of the top spas in New York - Leyda is BY FAR the best I've ever been to. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Decided very last minute to plan an elopement in Brooklyn in October 2020. The single best decision i made (other than to marry my now husband) was to hire Leyda to do my make-up. She is AMAZING and went above and beyond to make me look and feel stunning on my wedding day. As soon as she confirmed, she asked me to send inspo photos and photos of me and we aligned on the perfect direction for the day so I had ZERO stress heading into the day. Leyda made my skin glow. My makeup was PERFECTION. She stayed until my photographer arrived and made sure my make-up looked amazing in different lighting and on camera. A true professional. beyond that, we had amazing conversation the whole day. She is so sweet and made me feel calm when my nerves started kicking in. She even put on mediations to help me relax. I was getting ready solo and she helped my zip up my dress and put on my shoes. Literally my friends who have seen my photos have asked if she stayed with me all day and night to do touch-ups because i still looked flawless at 12:30am! Nope. She's just that good. Leyda has been my go-to for facials (incl. micro and peels) and waxing for years now. I found her through Yelp. At the time, her reviews stood out from the pack... people swore by her! I was an immediate convert. She is an absolute pro and cares deeply about her craft and her clients. She is incredibly knowledgeable about products, tools etc. Each client is an individual and she is dedicated to offering a customized facial. At the same time, she is not focused on up selling clients, as her facial is comprehensive. There's no "oh you need this" and then a surprise when it's time to pay. I can't tell you how much more relaxing this makes the treatment and how great it feels to know that I got everything I needed. She is also simply the BEST at turning around a congested face. She is gentle yet VERY effective when it comes to extractions. She spends ample time afterward on masks to immediately dampen redness and speed healing. She also treated me while I was pregnant and was a go-to resource for which products to use and which to avoid. She made sure I was comfortable and checked on me afterward, always. She is the BEST. I gave myself a day with Leyda as my birthday present this year - that's how heavenly she is!! I originally met her at another spa completely randomly when I booked my facial and have not seen another esthetician since. She is incredible at giving your skin EXACTLY what it needs and I love that she doesn't do add-ons for facials, you get the works every time! I also have super sensitive/fair skin and even though she does intense extractions and so many treatments, I never leave her looking red, puffy or scary in any way. Just glowing with my freshly pampered skin! Not only does she hands down give the best facials of all time (and I'm a facial addict and have had them all over the world), she is also just the loveliest. Her new space is SUPER cute and drips of her amazing style in every corner. I thought I would miss going to an actual spa and that wasn't the case at all. She never pushes any products or services (although will give a recommendation happily when asked) and is clear that all of her attention is on you when you're with her. Leyda is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet! I learned about her makeup services when she was doing a facial for me - excellent facial - she also did my eyebrows too! And I don't trust just anyone with those. Leyda did my makeup for my engagement party. She asked me for my input well before my appointment, and took in all of the info I gave her on what I had in mind. She sat with me for a good 3.5 hours during my consultation and took feedback as we went, and later as well when I sent photos of how the makeup looked after my skin's natural oils mixed in with the colors. Come the day of my actual event, my makeup was flawless and I got so many compliments. I'm not used to wearing a lot of makeup, but for an event that you will be photographed at (or just want to look fabulous!) I HIGHLY recommend. My pictures came out PERFECT. Leyda is flexible, funny, talented and really in tune with what you are looking for. It just doesn't get better than Leyda!!!! We were lucky enough to have her as the makeup artist for our wedding party, which was a very tall order!!! Not only did she do the most GORGEOUS makeup I have ever seen on every single one of us, but she also brought the most wonderful energy and kept us all feeling so good and happy on a day where everyone in the room was very nervous and anxious!! I can't say enough about Leyda's skills as a makeup artists. Every time she does my face I feel and look more beautiful than I did before I sat down. I've seen her do makeup for women of all complexions and ages. She listens to her clients but is such a great artist it's better for you to listen to her. You will not be disappointed. Leyda is a godsend for the skin (...and makeup)! I first met Leyda through a recommendation from a friend. Leyda is knowledgable about skin care and takes time to help you understand what works and doesn't work for your specific skin type. I now go to her for my every '6 week' facial . In addition to the technical aspect of the facial, she's sweet, accommodating, and just has an overall positive energy. Now...makeup...I took a 3-day makeup class with her (one-on-one with my neice). She went from the basics to more elaborate looks (smokey eye, glam look, etc). It was amazing and because of the classes I now use more makeup and find it enjoyable versus dreading the thought of applying makeup for fear of just looking a mess.
