We used KDC to renovate our Kitchen, Master Bathroom, and fix some other issues around the house that involved tiling, plumbing, drywall, etc. We first started with KDC on the kitchen, where we had them install all new countertops, and replace our cabinets, basically a whole kitchen renovation. They handled everything and had people for plumbing, tiling, painting, electrical. Everything was handled for us with minimal involvement other than picking out materials. It was one of the easiest experiences where we picked out what we wanted in their showroom and had their project manager coming to the house to review progress on a consistent basis. With how smoothly the kitchen went, we had KDC fix our guest bathroom where things went just as smooth, and then do a whole renovation of the master bathroom. Similarly, we picked out all of the materials in their showroom and the results were amazing. The quality and craftsmanship is very detailed, with new cabinets, tiling, moving different fixtures to new locations, and installation of everything flawlessly. They even alerted us to a cheaper countertop option that still met our needs. All in all, it seems like KDC worked on half the house and did some in a timely and expert way. We've recommended them to friends and happy to do so for others. It was refreshing trusting someone to do a great job with minimal supervision and we're thrilled with the results.

But once we scheduled the appointment with CKB, lots of other projects popped up with our old, new house: knocking pipes when the hot water is on, an old fireplace mantle with water damage behind it, a wall-mounted tv that the previous owners stuck right into flammable insulation. But it didn't matter! Quinn, Cherie, and Carlos completed our whole list within ONE WEEK and within our budget. The team painted everything from ceilings to baseboards and covered up the previous yellow and navy blue paint! They completely replaced the damaged drywall behind our brick fireplace and installed a new electrical outlet for the wall mounted tv, in addition to adding fireproof insulation! And they fixed our knocking pipes by cutting into our walls and spray foaming around the culprits. Totally professional and on time every day. It was great! Can't wait to have them back to renovate our old bathrooms.

Primary emphasis was a layout that could evolve over time and recapturing some floorspace. Start to finish was 3-4 weeks. This included tearing out popcorn ceiling, wiring in ~11 new recessed lights, new flooring, new kitchenette, small updates to a guest bathroom, painting all the things (including a chalkboard 1/3 wall) and a redesigned fascia for our fireplace. It also included a "secret room" for the kiddo that Quinn took on as a personal project, as we've been juggling complex medical issues for a few years. Needless to say that resulted in a lot of smiles and it has been getting a ton of use. The plywood in the secret room is 3/4" and we plan to add some rock climbing grips to it in the future. Pearl and Monica were easy to communicate with and any issues (ex: some painting needed to be revisited) were handled promptly. They were very flexible with pricing and really went out of their way to make this work for us. I'm deeply appreciative of the work they did for our child and the flexibility they demonstrated with some of my last-minute design tweaks. This is an easy recommend from me.

I sent her the measurements and she gave me a quote. We went out at the start of Sept on a Saturday to look at their slabs of granite and very quickly chose one. Nilay never tried to upsell at all but answered all my questions about finishes. (We went with a leathered texture and love it!) Once we picked our slab, Nilay scheduled the measurement guy who came the following Monday. The installers came the following week and it was in beautifully. It's perfectly level and the seam is smooth and unobtrusive. We are very happy with it! (Especially now that I'm finished with tiling.) You may find a better price elsewhere, thought I think VM&G is competitive, but I really appreciated their responsiveness, quick turnaround, quality of work, and willingness to work with my very specific needs (save cabinets, close gaps, no granite backsplash, etc.).

George came to our home to next day after initial contact to provide a quote, we went a few hours later to select the slab, and he returned himself a few hours later to create a template. We had our countertop installed today (day 5 after initial contact) and are very happy with the result. Everything was smooth and the timeline was exactly what he told us it would be. Then we met George from GEOS Cabinets and Countertops, and everything changed. George told us straight up that trying to match our existing cabinets would cost more than it was worth. He walked us through practical options. His quote for new countertops was fantastic. His crew had to navigate some structural issues during installation but still within a week from his first visit, we had stunning new countertops installed, which completely transformed our kitchen. When I saw the finished result, I cried. After years of frustration and disappointment, it was overwhelming to finally see something beautiful and solid in our kitchen. Consulting with George also helped us finally make a clear decision on how to handle our cabinet dilemma and saved us a lot of money. If you want someone who's transparent, thoughtful, and truly skilled--George is your guy. We couldn't be happier with the results.
