The installers where fast and neat and did a really great job. If you are in the need of a new kitchen, I highly recommend Y & Q for all your cabinet and countertop needs. We got white cabinets and a whitish quartz countertop. Pricing was fair but not to expensive. They have a really good selection of quartz and granite. I will definitely be going back again in the future.

We were going to use a big company lowes home depot etc but though we want to use a local company not a big chain. MISTAKE!!!!! Everything was going fine we ordered everything paid over 12 grand and were excited to have a new kitchen. After the check was cashed it was impossible to get the owner who we were dealing with (John) on the phone. The work started and the first day came and went no problem. Oh they pick the contractor if you don't know one and we went with there guys. The only new thing in the kitchen was the facet and we told both John and the workers to save it Befor work had started. I was at home the second day and one of the guys came up to me and asked where's the facet. I said you were to save it. They said they threw it out so went and spent another 75 dollars for another new one. They said they had to get some flex tub, washers and PVC pipe prob about 10 dollars worth. The job was complete and I some what happy there was some damage to a couple cabinets and two counter tops. Once again tried to get John on the phone with no success. About a month later I get a mean letter saying I owe the $23.10 that's right 23 stinking bucks after spending over 12 grand for there workers mistake. I paid and thought it was over. Two months later we bought a new washer and when my plumber was installing it I inquired to low water pressure in the kitchen. The open the cabinet under the sink and turned to me and asked " who did this work it's all wrong. " The one workers son who did the work was not a lic plumber and the house would not pass inspection if we tried to sale. Wrong size traps , broke my 2 new facet and a lot more that would take too long go list. I called the county and had told who did the work that they were going to pay for it I would sue. He did and admitted his son was NOT a plumber. When I voiced my displeasure to John he said it was not his problem. Remember these Are there people not mine. When I said that I was not happy and could have saved money using lowes home depot he said we should have used them. WOW ! Got everything taken care of with a lot of phone calls and a couple threats from a friend who is a lawyer. It's was a big pain in the you know what and would not ever use them again even. There is a lot more that happen but I do have a life I need to get back to. Wish I could give them a negative 5 stars but I can't. U HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

A year later, we find that although we paid for real wood, we were cheated out and we see our cabinets and internals slowly falling apart due to cheap materials in certain spots. We thought we were comparing apples to apples but truly the product we received was incorrect and inferior. We reached out twice to the Columbus Brothers and received no response. It may seem attractive to go with them at first, but really I think it would be best to avoid choosing this business if you want long term results and quality service.

The attention to detail, the quality of the work- it is unbeatable. They put in a new French drain system and properly sealed the entire basement, creating additional living space for our teen girls.They replaced all the uneven floors and made the entire home not only much more functional- but breathtakingly gorgeous. The problem is then the left the house unfinished, never completing it. Six months later- their electrical work caused a house fire. Repeated attempts to rectify the issues failed until the owner of LaVillaLux just stopped talking to us altogether. Not the best way to do business. Really sad at the outcome.

Jason and his team renovated the whole basement by installing drywall, replacing the drop ceiling with a conventional ceiling and new lighting, and covering the entire floor with functional but attractive laminate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were involved in the design and satisfied with the results. In addition, they replaced our kitchen floor, which had some water damage, with beautiful ceramic tile to complement the existing quartz counters. This is the second major project Jason has done for us. He previously remodeled a bathroom for us, replacing all the fixtures and flooring, as well as installing a pocket door. We are very happy with all the work that was done and would highly recommend Building Buddies.
