The wife and I stopped in one sunday and left due to the fact that there was no-one in the dinning room ... meaning a server and patrons... we did decide to return for dinner a bout a month later and was glade we did, service was a little but they state that on the menu. We found Lew's while traveling from Colorado to California. What a treat! Hardly what you would expect in such a small town. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We are only staying here for 2 nights and went here for a very late lunch (3 pm) after a very long day of traveling. Being between lunch and dinner the place was nearly empty. They have a very eclectic menu -- Chinese, steaks, burgers. We had steak, baked potato, and salad. It was a huge portion (lunch for tomorrow!) and soooo good! The waitress was so nice and took great care of us. I don't believe that she was as nice and solicitous only because we were nearly the only customers there. She seemed like a genuinely nice person. Very nice restaurant decor. They have copper table tops! I highly recommend you try this place. Wish we were staying longer we would go back for the Chinese food that some of the other reviewers mentioned. read more

Second time here and both times have been great. The dinner salads are fresh and the ranch dressing was the "good" kind....none of that buttermilk-sour nonsense. My husband had chicken fried chicken. Chicken punded flat, dredged in crispy crust ingredients and deep fried perfectly. Lumpy mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and pan fried zucchini rounded out his dinner. He was a happy camper. I opted for chinese food. Singapore chow mein was my choice and it was tasty. One thing though, this isn't really in any way like singapore rice noodles except maybe that they both contain a variety of meats: beef, chicken, pork, & shrimp. This does not have curry, peppers, eggs, cilantro/basil or peanuts. The two dishes are nothing alike really. That said, the Singapore chow mein was delicious. My dinner included two old school heavily breaded butterflied shrimp (nostaligic for 80's chinese?, these shrimp are it) and a hot, crispy, tasty egg roll. I also had a strawberry daquiri (that I could catch no taste of rum, am thinking it might have been forgotten). Husband had bud....no PBR. Our server was super nice, and our food and drinks came out fast. Overall was happy and will happily return! read more

I wish I Could give zero stars. this place gave my family food poisoning! Not only was our order not even close to what we asked for, as we tried to be polite, but let's say the food either isn't really chicken or they don't know how to cook. I was hungry for a good chicken-fried steak, so a friend recommended this place. The service was great, and the breaded veal cutlets were the best I've eaten in years. Very tasty, high quality food for a reasonable price. I've paid this much for the usual freeze-dried patties reconstituted and deep-fried! We will go back for sure! read more

I wish it would have never changed. The food potions are very small for what you pay. And the food does not taste very good. I ordered a breaded veil cutlets and it wasn't even cooked all of the way through. The waiter even brought was the wrong food. And then spilled a whole plate of rice on my kids. This is the BEST RESTAURANT in Rock Springs! We have tried several and still look forward to anything on the menu! The pork chops are great, the French Dip is an all time favorite! Tonight was the Singapore Chow Mien! Be prepared to bring home enough for 2 more meals! The gumbo is fantastic even though it is thicker than I prefer! The salads are above average! Stopped on our way through town. Easy access off the Interstate on Pilot Butte exit. Great variety of food for all the family members. Kids were welcome and were well treated by friendly servers who brought kid friendly drink cups and meals to them. The variety of choices on the menu made it easy for us each to enjoy a great meal in a beautiful restaurant with very helpful and happy servers. Drinks from a full bar were available. read more

Went to late lunch. Sat at first table, in full view of staff. Was served salad without silverware...had to wait until main course was served to get wait staff attention. Panini was so fatty that there was very little meat left on the sandwich once it was removed. The Chili Meat did not resemble anything by that name I've had before. $30 plus tip and the waitress filled the to go box upside down. Really? We have had several bad experiences since they reopened, but decided to try their takeout one more time. Should have known better. No gravy on the Fu Yung, but they fixed that before we left with it. We did learn to check. Should have checked the two order of fried rice, too. Wrong kind and no soy sauce. Called the manager, Shauna, and she promised to make it right and leave a gift certificate for me. She didn't leave it. I think the owner should take more interest in the restaurant. His name is on the front, and his managers and help are ruining it. read more

When there in the summer and the food was burnt, no refills on our drinks and my hubbys beer was warm. Horrible service. Our waitress just disappeared. We actually had to go find someone so we could pay the check and leave. Then 6 months later they decided to charge our card! I recently ate here on Mothers Day with my family and the food was good but my service was horrible. We had a waitress by the name of Dora... Beautifully decorated place but very unorganized. Nobody knows who is waiting on who. I watched many people walk out tonight because a hostess was nowhere to be found. It took an irate customer who had been waiting for a called in takeout order to finally get the staff to realize how poor service was. The lady helping him could have helped the situation if only she would have apologized for the extra long wait but she chose not to and felt the wrath of this gentlemen. Unfortunately I think they lost many customers tonight due to the lack of supervision and organization. I have eaten there 2-3 times before and the service is a little lacking but the food was good except for tonight. One dish was over cooked and the sweet and sour chicken was strange and pieces were cold. The appetizer we ordered was so greasy that the ragoon left grease tracks on the plate. Hopefully the owners or manager will take note of the issues at this lovely place and try to fix them or it will be another place to avoid. read more
