    The very refreshing Spat Hook!

I have to say I am very impressed that Rock Springs is up to three breweries now. I remember when there was just one and glad to see at least from my impression that the town is capable of supporting three. Square State was a brewery I haven't been to until recently and it was also in a part of Rock Springs that I haven't been to before. Despite being raised in this state we hardly ever visited Rock Springs. For Square State I had two of their beers and felt that they had pretty unique flavor profiles. The Firecracker was the first beer I got which was an amber. This particular beer had a strong graham cracker flavor that really stood out and I really enjoyed that. The other beer I had was the Spat Hook, a caramel red ale which I also enjoyed due to the strong caramel flavor. Good and unique tasting beers from this brewery which is always something I like to see!

Great little local microbrewery! The owners are friendly, and they develop all their own brews! Had some really nice lightly fruited options on tap, which was perfect for a warm day. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Every beer we tried was excellent. Super nice bartender named Tamm. Fun bar game called Shake-a-day if you're up for it.

Interesting brewery off the main road of Rock springs! Small spot and not much seating but being rock springs is not the largest town there was tons of room to set up shop. They have a large selection of beer and crowlers to go if needed. The oatmeal stout was one of the best had with a slightly sour tinge but not too heavy to fill you up. The sour beer was also delightful with a sharp tart finish that may only mean one pint to satisfy a sour craving. This brewery also has an interesting option of mixing the house made seltzer tigers blood, a strawberry watermelon coconut concoction, with the house sour. This is a awesome combination as the seltzer mainly tastes of coconut but the sour beer as a extra element. Definitely worth a try for the more curious beer goers! They also provide free popcorn, pretzels and goldfish to munch on while downing pints!

Good little local brewery to enjoy a couple drinks and read. Outdoor area is dog friendly if you choose to bring your fur baby.

We are from Colorado, so are used to a few more tap choices when going to a brewery, but for a small town this place was great.

Stop 7 of 9 on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour Amazing Brewery Race…read more We had a long stretch of road ahead of us and we're pretty excited to hear that these guys put out a tasty pizza (one can only live on cliff bars and pistachios for so long)... we started with ordering 2 brews When they came, the hubs said "mine is definitely gluten free" except it wasn't. When he tried mine, he said he thought mine might be - it wasn't either. They did offer gluten removed beer but neither of the two we ordered were supposed to be. I do agree with him, they both rang of such... neither would be on my reorder list. 2/2/2/2 - all parties, all brews That brings us to the pizza. It was build your own & there were options on crust thickness, sauces and toppings. They hand-stretched the dough, which I appreciated &, honestly, it was a good pizza (tho I'd skip the mushrooms, as they were canned & the crust was a bit wet from it). The issue with it was we realized we spent over 2.5 hours here. That's a long time for a pizza, as we left immediately afterwards and opted to not get any more beer. The staff were nice and the gal working our table said she'd only been there a week. We were 1 of 3 tables, 1 of 2 with food.

Stopped in at Badass Brews while passing through Green River and it was such a pleasant surprise…read more The space is super cute and spotless, and the staff could not have been friendlier. The whole town was unbelievably quiet, so this place felt like the heartbeat of it and honestly the only lively spot around. I tried a couple of their IPAs (so good) and absolutely loved that they had gluten-free options that didn't feel like an afterthought. The chili nacho fries were amazing, though I definitely wouldn't complain if they tripled the amount of chili. Perfect little halfway stop, cozy, welcoming, and totally worth the detour.
