They charged me way under what I was thinking because they worked the problem, didn't guess at it and fixed it. Eds is honest, fast, actually finds the problem the first time, make solid repairs and gets you on your way for a reasonable and fair price. 5 stars all the way. A Story of Exceptional Service on the Road -- Thank You, Dobbs Eureka MO!…read more We were driving from Chicago to Missouri for my niece's wedding when, around 10 p.m. near St. Louis, our check engine light suddenly came on. Concerned, we pulled over and checked the fluids--only to find the engine oil barely registering on the dipstick. We were still about 1,000 miles away from our next scheduled oil change, which we always keep up with, so this caught us completely off guard. Knowing the danger of running an engine with low oil, we cautiously made our way to the nearest retailer and added 3 quarts. Still, the check engine light remained on, and the car wouldn't go over 60 MPH. Hoping the engine just needed to reestablish proper oil pressure, we continued carefully until we reached Eureka, MO. Feeling anxious, we decided to stop for the night and have the car looked at in the morning. After a rough night's sleep, we began calling around and found O'Reilly Auto Parts nearby. They kindly offered to read the check engine code and suggested Dobbs Tire & Auto Center just across the street if the issue required a professional mechanic. That turned out to be exactly what we needed. At Dobbs, we were warmly welcomed by Amed, who greeted us with a genuine smile and listened attentively to our situation. He immediately looked into the issue and had us scheduled right away. While we waited in their clean, comfortable lounge, Amed did additional research on our engine and kept us informed throughout the process. About 45 minutes later, he came back with fantastic news--the check engine light was off, the engine was fine, and they'd even test driven it to be sure. He is always very friendly & When I had my new chrome wheels & new tires put on, I was concerned about scratches. Joe went back to Service Dept. & did the entire job Himself to be sure it was right. I keep my cars for many years & I like that they have the "FIXED FOREVER" Warranty. They have covered a couple of worn out parts under that deal with no questions asked. I don't think I've had new tires put on any of my cars this millennium, That weren't done at Dobb's. And most other service work too. And I'm a Motorcycle Mechanic of 52 years.
