Truly a 5 star experience! Travis was knowledgeable and charming. The wine is excellent and well priced for Napa Valley. The tasting room is beautifully decorated at every single detail with a beautiful view! I have been wine tasting in Napa at least once per year for the last 10 years and this winery is truly a stand out.

Great staff and experience at Lewis Cellars. The whole tasting room is so warm and inviting with a glass of white to greet you at the door. We had food pairing with our tasting and it was superb. Love every bite that was given and wanted more. It's sooooooo good. Will be back soon.

The tasting was absolutely fantastic and place is truly unique (in a good way). The decor is very loud, but in a very low key way with exceptional finishes. All of the staff is quite knowledgeable and have clearly been trained well in hospitality field. Can't wait to go back when I'm back in Napa.

We had a private tasting performed by David. He shared the story of the Owners and how it all came together. Loved the Chardonnay but love love the Vin Gris, yes it's sold out but they had 2 bottles left. He opened one to see if I'd like it and of course I did. I highly recommend visiting this winery, it's a must.

We arrived at Lewis Cellars on our last day for our last tasting. We were greeted outside and served a taste of their Sav. Blanc while we waited for the tasting to begin. There was a total of six of us for the tasting (two other couples and us). Unfortunately, while waiting outside, it turned into a very pretentious conversation between the other couples (us remaining silent). Basically, it was a "oh, we have a reservation for the French Laundry tomorrow, do you?!" and "Well, their Pinot is only $200 a bottle." etc. While, I would love to go to French Laundry and some Noirs at that price point are great...why are we having a pissing contest right now? Anyways, that's how the tasting started and it put us in a weird mood. The tasting did not include a tour or anything (which is fine), but included a history of Randy Lewis and his family - basically, he was a race car driver. Onto the tasting, we tasted a few of their wines - Reserve Chardonnay, Alec's Blend, Merlot, and Reserve Cabernet. The tasting did not include their well reviewed "normal" Cabernet. My notes for all of their wines indicate a ton of oak...on everything. The Chardonnay, very oaky...buttered popcorn. Alec's Blend, overpowered oak. Merlot, too much oak. Etc. - you get my point. I enjoy oak when it's used to balance and enhance wine flavors. Unfortunately, it can be used to cover up crappy wine. I'm not saying they did that...just too much oak that it's not balanced. I do not think that I finished any of my tasting pours. The tour ended sharply (awkwardly) when one of the couples leaving for another tasting and the host almost shooing us out. He indicated that he wasn't trying to rush us, but the damage/awkwardness was already there. We left without purchasing any wines (I do not think the other couples purchased anything either) The tastings are $65/person, which I think are expensive. They did not indicate that the fees would be refunded with a purchase - but we were so rushed out that I didn't ask (and honestly, the wine wasn't that great, but still "free" wine is still wine). We will not go to Lewis Cellars again. Our 2017 Napa/Sonoma trip included Hamel Family Wines, Viader, Schramsberg, Neyers, and Lewis Cellars. Check out my reviews of the others for some comparisons.

Good but I expected more. The story behind Randy Lewis is pretty cool. I enjoyed the tasting but it was not my favorite winery.

But, boujee doesn't have to be 24/7. Casual is relaxing, and Goosecross is the perfect place for a fun and relaxing tasting experience in Yountville. I came here with a large group of ladies and we really enjoyed ourselves. Antoine was our host and we had so much fun with him! He kept us on our toes during our entire tasting. He made us laugh, told us interesting stories, and also explained each wine that we were tasting. I wouldn't say that our group was rowdy.... but we were drankin'. And you know what happens when the gals be drinkin'! Mm hmm... we got a bit excited and little loud. However, Antoine handled our large party well and we so appreciated him for it. Speaking of rowdy; this is definitely a tasting room with a youthful glow. There aren't crazy drunks and it's not super loud, but it seems like this is where the larger groups like to hang out and truly have a kick back time. It's just fun! It's a fun time. Their patio is all the rave. There were several other large parties tasting out on the patio as well that day. Their indoor tasting room is really cute. There's a smallish tasting bar inside, but the patio area is nestled amongst their lovely vineyards. The photo opportunities are endless, and Antoine was nice enough to snap some photos of us during our visit. When it comes to the wines, I definitely enjoyed their white wines more than their reds. I loved their Gewurtztraminer and their Sauvignon Blanc was tasty too. The red wines that we tasted were just okay. Even their $150 Cab Sauv tasted a bit young, but just my personal opinion. My group and I really had a blast tasting here. I will definitely come back for a future tasting when I'm back in Yountville.

We were given four wines for tasting with our little charcuterie plate. The charcuterie camera has three different types of cheeses, little slices of salami, dried fruit, and almonds. Super duper sweet. lol As we were trying the wines, they were being poured and we were given info about the wines. We saw the staff sticking around to talk to different tasters on the porch. However, my friend and I were there for a long catch up session on life so they kindly recognized that and said they'd give us space to chat (but ofc they were always willing to answer questions or engage if we wanted to). I appreciated their intuition! lol! Overall, beautiful wines, wonderful view, and a great time. :)

Once we were done with the walking part of the tour, we sat down at the dining room table and tried three more wines.
