When I popped in today, it was clearly the holiday season in there. The sales weren't quite as impressive as the ones I saw on my first trip, but this is clearly the lead into the holiday frenzy and things will be changing rapidly. My doctor just informed me she's making a change to my medication's. Therefore, I will be losing weight again involuntarily. While I may be actively looking, I won't be buying anything until my weight settles down. I believe that will be sometime after the new year so I'll have to check again. But it sure is encouraging to pop into Talbots. Here's a store with clothing I feel comfortable wearing and I think I can rely on them to offer me selection and excellent price when I need it. Absolutely loved my service here today. I bought a pair of vans online through another store in the…read moresame mall to do same day pick up in store. When we walked into the other store (prefer not to say which store), nobody attended us and we had to walk all the way to the back of the store to find someone. The girl knew very little about questions we had and said they didn't know when my shoes would be ready to pick up. We decided to visit the vans outlet while we waited for the confirmation email. "Hello! Welcome in!" is immediately what I heard upon entering this store. We found the same shoes quick and easy and every couple minutes they asked if we needed a new size and if we had been helped. Lastly, I found out I had the wrong shoe size than what I ordered online so we went ahead and cancelled the order for the other store. It was interesting to have two very different customer experiences in the same day and I would definitely come back to this Vans store. Thank you to the employees that attended us today, it really counts.
