Just got home from my second visit here, first time by myself and this time I took two of my sisters and a friend. We had a blast! Very slick, clean and organized place, great selection of games and the staff are wonderfully helpful. If you need help getting used to the equipment, they're there. If you just want to log in and do your thing, they give you space but will pop in on mic once in a while to make sure you're comfortable. The price is a little steep for me so I can't go as often as I"d like, but the two times I've been thus far have been a blast. I really think it's a great place to give VR a try if you've never played it before! One thing I wanted to stress is cleanliness. When you walk in, the smell reminded me of a hospital - which to me was great because that assures me that they keep the equipment clean and sanitized and I had no qualms about using it - I was completely at ease. They also have a pretty good referral and monthly membership program that gives you all sorts of discounts - I used mine to bring my sisters and everyone got 15% off which REALLY helped convince them to try it out, lol. Came here with a group of 7 for a friend's birthday party and it was a lot of fun! When we first walked in it felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie with the all white interior and layout of the individual play pods. Note - before entering the space you'll need to take off your shoes so you will be shoeless throughout the entire facility (including the communal washroom - which was an interesting experience lol but not the end of the world) The staff were really friendly and great at getting us all set up and explaining how the games work. They have a large selection of games to choose from. I definitely recommend going for at least an hour or more, especially if it's your first time, because we found that getting used to the mechanics and learning the games takes some time. Once we got into it we had a blast playing the games! Overall it was a really fun experience and we definitely want to come back again to try more games! read more

Had to stop by LevelUp Reality when this one "VR Exhibit" miss it's mark. The staff was all helpful and friendly. They suggested what types of games to play and how to play it. We had some issues with the set up since they were fairly new and they ended up giving us some extra time. I thought that gesture went a long way. The pricing was not too bad.i thought the experience was really worth the price we paid. The experience really made me feel I was more involved into the game and environment. Their facility was generally well kept and clean. They wiped down the head set after each use, so that was reassuring. Overall, I'll be down to visit and play again if I was in the GTA. I went to level up reality the other day. The place was a little hard to find and tucked away downstairs. The staff were very welcoming and nice! They were super helpful and there's a short tutorial. I only tried a few games, one was a bow and arrow game and another was a zombie apocalypse. It was more realistic that I thought it would be.. I had a great time!! It was really cool. The price was reasonable and you pay by the hour. I'd recommend a one hour session bc half an hour is not enough to play and get used to virtual reality. :p Bring a friend and you get a discount! TL;DR vs: wonderful open space, very knowledgeable staff, reasonable pricing, visual and audio for spectators, and great games selection. Been here twice already. Most reasonable pricing hands down. Highly recommend at least 2 hours because going through the games, time will fly by. The staff are extremely knowledgeable. I call them VR gurus. My first time playing VR I had no idea what would be suitable for me, especially because I get motion sickness easily. But they were able to find me addictively fun games and even group party games for my friends and I! All time favourite game is space pirates My favourite feature of this arcade is the open concept. I really didn't like the booth style of some other places, made me feel very crammed. The open space was also great when I went with a group, made team co-op games more enjoyable. Not to mention the floor mats are so comfy I could sleep on it! Another feature I really appreciated were speakers for spectators. At most other VR places, you can see what the gamer sees but can't hear it, so watching others play got boring really quick. The speakers also made videos way more hilarious! I'm far from a video gamer but I had a wonderful time here! It was my first VR experience and I think I'm hooked. It's about $30 for a half hour of play, which I still think is quite expensive, but from what I could wrap my head around - if you come often, getting a membership is a great way to save some cash. The staff was the #1 thing I enjoyed about Levelup. They were incredibly helpful and were with me 100% of the time trying to acclimate me to the playing environment and ensuring all the equipment fit well. Loved LevelUp! Came here last night for a date night, and we both had so much fun! It's a little difficult to find, but basically if you go into Aura, head downstairs, go towards the food court and it'll be in that area. The location isn't huge, but it has a whole lot of game selections (quite literally a full wall of games)! Zombie games, shooting games, co-op/vs games, even google earth in VR where I've been told you can't actually use it to stalk people... I'm pretty sure there's something for everyone! We booked it for an hour, but we probably could have stayed for 2 easily. The staff are super awesome - they're friendly, helpful, and funny! William had to help me out a few times with the controllers... because sometimes I don't know what I'm doing, but they're always around to help out without judgement of how poorly I'm playing. We had such a great time, basically an hour of just laughs and good fun! Perfect for small groups (there are 4 stations), dates, or just a fun night with your best friend. I would highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for something fun and different to do! Would definitely return for more! read more

I decided to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday here and it was BOTH of our first times doing VR. We aren't a "gamer" couple by any means, but we had a blast. I purchased this session online and we both signed the waiver pre-arriving. Because of some mishaps at our hotel, we got to the VR place 2 minutes before our scheduled session instead of 15 minutes. Would recommend everyone to get there 15 minutes prior to though. As soon as we got there, the staff were super professional in helping us getting settled in with no questions asked and luckily we were able to get the private room. It was so awesome! While set up, we were both mind blown by how professional the staff were and how VR works. The games were easy and it was so so so super helpful having the staff also be aware of what games or what you're doing. They guided us both in the rooms and while we were in the virtual world. Thanks for such an amazing time! :) We will definitely be back. While this place is a bit mid-priced to the more expensive end in the virtual reality world, it was well worth it. P.S. Raw data was fun! It's a shooting game. Qwiver was ok - I thought I'd like it more - it's an archery game. I'd avoid Loco Dojo - too many glitches. read more

The location is a little bit tucked away in the concourse level at Aura, but it's close to transit (nearest College station). Levelup reality is a fantastic choice for a group hangout or just to try out VR gaming. Be sure to book at least an hour for the full experience and well in advance as time slots can fill up fast. I had been to other VR gaming spots but this place was a great experience made better because of service. Everyone was friendly and welcoming making my date and myself so comfortable we were laughing the whole time. Biggest VR game selection I have seen. We played a couple great co-op games. Loco Dojo which is like a mario party style minigames and Raw Data which is a game that finally gives you that satisfaction of dual weidling guns you cant get from a standard video game. I took my son who is very much into gaming to Levelup Reality. It takes a lot to impress him. Well...he was VERY impressed!! He loved the game and could not stop to talk about it. While there we observed a number of adults on the system and they were having a tremendous amount of fun! Some were gamers while others not but all seemed to enjoy it. William who as I understand is co-partner on this, was extremely patient with my son and walked him through the training taking his time to ensure he was comfortable. Based on my son's reaction we will return and likely bring a number of his friends. FYI. Finally something downtown and not miles away. Great shopping nearby as well. read more

Its my first time trying virtual reality and going to levelup was the best experience I ever had. The staff are very friendly and helpful that they had great recommendations for beginners like me. Its located in the downtown core, on the lower floor of the Aura building. The space is very new and clean. One thing I recommend is if you wear prescription glasses, its better to wear contacts. Not saying that you cant go with your glasses. (Because I did...) its just the comfort level is abit different, however the staff are always there to help you out from adjustments to the gear you wear to the tips to play the game. Another thing to mention that its better to book online and fill out the waivers in advance that way you can start to play the games you want to right away. And they also mentioned a 30% off promotion for two players which is a great deal to take advantage of but the deal ends soon! I will definitely go there again. read more

I've been wanting to try VR for a while now and was not disappointed. The staff at at Levelup were super friendly and clearly excited about providing a great VR experience! It was the first time playing VR games for both my friend and myself and we were provided extremely clear instructions. There was an extensive game library and ample space for me to get fully immersed in the VR experience! I liked their booking options of one hour (up to 3 people can play) and 30 minutes (one playing). I'll definitely be back.
