“The onboarding system is great and allowed us to familiarize ourselves in VR quickly and the game selection was a breeze!”

Came here with a group of 7 for a friend's birthday party and it was a lot of fun!…read more When we first walked in it felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie with the all white interior and layout of the individual play pods. Note - before entering the space you'll need to take off your shoes so you will be shoeless throughout the entire facility (including the communal washroom - which was an interesting experience lol but not the end of the world) The staff were really friendly and great at getting us all set up and explaining how the games work. They have a large selection of games to choose from. I definitely recommend going for at least an hour or more, especially if it's your first time, because we found that getting used to the mechanics and learning the games takes some time. Once we got into it we had a blast playing the games! Overall it was a really fun experience and we definitely want to come back again to try more games!

Poorly organized and disappointing experience. We would not come back…read more With only one staff member available to help our group, it took almost 20 minutes before we were all ready to start our first game. After that, we ran into technical glitches one after another. Two of us ended up having to drop out and start a different game on our own. One member of our group arrived about 5 minutes late. We heard the buzz and told the staff and watched the staff buzz the door open to let him in, so I put my headset back on and continued with the setup. But he kept having trouble getting his console set up, and with the only staff member busy helping the rest of us, he was never able to join in and ended up leaving before our session was over. We were really disappointed by how the situation was handled. When we asked about it afterward, the explanation didn't make sense to us -- we had mentioned at the start that one person was running late, and the staff member had let him in and even let him go in to one of the VR rooms to get set up. The response felt dismissive: "You'd be surprised how many people are just here to sit and watch." We had such a great experience at Sandbox VR not long ago, so the contrast was stark. The technical issues were frustrating, but in our experience, the lack of organization and the way the situation was handled were the biggest problems.

I'm super excited that vivid will be expanding soon with a larger space and bar. We found Vivid VR…read moreafter I saw an Instagram ad for the rec room. The rec room locations in Canada had really terrible reviews and we decided to look local. Vivid's website was pretty easy to use and book our appointments, we went with the $30 pp premium for an hour (all the standard games + some others). I suggest coming earlier to get used to the controls, it's a little different. We had so much fun, highly recommended. I do love the free classic arcade games in the front that we can play as we wait. Thoughtful touch. Wish it was located more downtown near all the bars and nightlife, this place would be an even bigger hit. Looking forward to the new developments. I'd def come back again.

Wow!! It was super fun! I have always wanted to try VR gaming. Because of the price of owning on…read moreitself is expensive, this is a great opportunity for people who never experience VR gaming before. I forgot the name of the games that I played, but definitely try the one where you shoot the robots. It was so exciting and a bit scary as the game went on. You had the ability to move around and shoot them. Another game that I played was fighting off the demons. Had a blast killing them!! But the one down side of it was that, we weren't able to move around. Just station at one spot, but it was still fun. I'm probably the worst gamer...not coordinated at all and have a high chance that I will die first. But it was pretty easy to pick up, so I can imagine that anyone like me can have fun too. Before it was our turn, we were waiting on a group of 3 kids. Anyone could see their excitement in playing the game. It's perfect for all ages, and another way for parents to bond with the children. The customer service was great! I believe his name was Ken... Could be wrong. But he was super helpful for us beginners.
