The worker allows you to try them to find your favorite. I got 2 scoops of the banana pudding. Oh. My. God. It is to die for. It had a great balance of banana and nilla water flavors. My mom also had 2 scoops. I thought the prices were very reasonable and made for an inexpensive dessert. I highly recommend. The candy store is awesome. There is so much to look at. There was lots of candies that I haven't seen in along time. This shop has one of the longest fresh chocolate cases I've seen. There was so much fudge options and other goodies. We got several chocolates to enjoy later in our hotel. They were delicious. The staff here is the sweetest. We felt so welcomed and were greeted right away when we entered. They were patient while we decided on the flavors of chocolates we wanted. I really enjoyed my time here.

They have so many options to choose from, there's something for everyone. We wanted a few pieces of chocolate so we went to the counter and were greeted by the worker. We made our selections and paid. Then we went to the ice cream side and ordered a milk shake as well as an expresso with ice cream. All the chocolates were fresh and delicious. The milk shake had just the right amount of sweetness and thickness consistency. The shot of expresso mixed with ice cream was the perfect mix, and a great afternoon pick me up. Whenever in DeLand this will always be a stop for me.

I get the sense it's beloved by locals of a certain set as it was busy on a Saturday afternoon with tables full of folks enjoying conversation over lunch. We were tucked in the back room which made for a quieter experience. I had the pick two combo of roast beef arugula sandwich and chicken velvet soup. Both were decent - I think maybe upgrading the deli meat might help the sandwiches overall, wasn't a huge fan of the roast beef (some yucky pieces) but the sandwich itself had good ingredients of fresh arugula, shaved Parmesan, and horseradish sauce. The soup was my favorite part of the meal, but it's pretty much a cream of mushroom and chicken soup so not particularly groundbreaking. The Nutty Irish Lady was recommended to me, and was just ok. It had cherry notes apparently, but I tasted just mostly just Irish cream flavor. I'd definitely try it for breakfast, sample some other coffee menu items, and maybe get a salad for lunch instead. A cozy local spot seemingly enjoyed by many!

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

My sister and I stumbled upon this gem after dinner, and let me tell you, it was the sweetest discovery of the evening. We were feeling a bit adventurous and decided to try something new. Oh my goodness, it was like diving headfirst into a pool of chocolatey bliss! Each spoonful was a symphony of rich flavors and creamy textures that left us smitten. The ambiance of Sweet Spot Ice Cream is just as delightful as their treats. It was kind of an odd store, we weren't greeted when we walked in and there was an employee on the phone with another person pretty upset. It made it kind of uncomfortable to look around. We looked around and tried some of the samples that were out. A younger gentelmen was bringing in some pies and i asked him about the product I was looking for but he said it had been discontinued. Oh well, we looked around and found quite a few other items and went to check out. I wanted some lip balm and put it with my order and I guess it was forgotten. My sister had put two with her items and they were forgotten as well. Luckily we hadn't been charged for them. Overall I'd come again, the person who rang us up ended up being very nice, maybe she was just having a bad day. The store has a decent variety for a small shop.
