They have a nice seating area, and I felt like I was in the middle of a forest. It was so serene and relaxing. As much as I wanted to try one of their lattes, I had to stop myself because I had just finished a latte from a coffee shop in Seattle. Instead, I bought a bag of Tim's Cascade Secret Sauce Potato Chips. I was shocked when the total came out to almost $9. It was definitely pricey, but I'd never had those chips before, and they were so good. I haven't been able to find them anywhere back home in Los Angeles.

I'd heard this place had outdoor seating with a view, so we figured it would be a good spot to stop with our dog. Parking can definitely be a challenge, but we eventually found a spot and walked up. My husband took our dog to the pet area, which has a nice walkable path and plenty of trees to sniff. Dog approved. There was a decent line, but honestly there were plenty of things to look at while waiting. Two people ahead of me even bought souvenir sweatshirts and T‑shirts. The service was incredibly friendly--the barista taking orders was patient and kind. I ordered my husband a latte with a chocolate chip cookie and got myself a coconut latte. I was a little apprehensive because coconut in a latte can easily turn into a sugary mess, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavor was nicely balanced: good espresso with just a hint of coconut. We enjoyed our drinks at a picnic table in the dog area. Super relaxing. There is also a gazebo for people to enjoy drinks (non dog area). It was very cute and people really seem to enjoy it, I like to come back but better with maybe when it wasn't so busy but definitely worth going to

You cross an amazing little suspension bridge over the Skykomish River, and there stands The River House Cafe. A charming spot that caters to rafters, adventures, and diners alike. When the bill came, we asked to see it because we were worried they would charge us for the meal they never brought out or the glass shard sangria. They said no LOL. We had been noticing this bakery for a while since we'd driven past it many times on our way to hikes, and we finally got to try it today. I had a breakfast muffin. It was great, very simple yet tasty. At first I thought one muffin might not be enough, but glad that was wrong, I was about 80% full after eating it. My partner got the avocado omelette, it came with toast and hash browns. We were surprised by how fluffy and soft the toast was, definitely the best toast we've had at any breakfast spot. He said the omelette was tasty too. We also grabbed some coffee and pastries before we left. I had a spicy German sausage and a chocolate bar, my partner got an apple fritter and an apple pull apart. I had the chocolate bar later after our hike. It was sweet and fluffy, not too heavy since I had it with coffee. Then I had the German sausage for dinner. The sausage was actually spicy, not just a mild black pepper kind of American European spicy, but a real deal spicy. I loved it! Staffs in the bakery were very friendly and attentive too. I'm glad I got to support such a lovely local business. This place is a solid one.
