We have all heard the negative comments and horror stories when engaging a moving company to facilitate a residential move from point A to point B. I was moving from a condo in downtown Toronto to a house in Napanee, Ontario (2.5 hours outside of Toronto) and needed to hire a moving company to do this and was very apprehensive in doing so. I started the process by calling three well known moving companies to get quotes so that I could do my cost comparison and to help me intelligently decide which moving company to go with. I have to comment that right from the very first contact with the team from Let's Get Moving I was very impressed. I called the sales team (spoke to both Shamika and Dakota) and they were both very professional, friendly and presented a quote that actually made sense to me (unlike the other two companies I contacted) ... they were very straightforward and based the quote on an hourly rate which included 2 men, a very large truck. Both Shamika and Dakota really helped to put my mind at ease regarding all the general "bad moving companies" stories I have heard / read from other people. That said, I also know that sometimes what the sales team quotes and what the actual movers charge can still be very different and problematic. However, not in my case as everything that I was promised from the Let's Get Moving sales team was delivered by both Sammy and VJ and then some. Sammy and VJ did arrive on the arranged day and within the arranged time slot arranged (7:30-8:30am) ... they even called me to tell me when they were on their way and when they would be arriving at my downtown Toronto condo. And, as soon as they arrived they positioned the truck on the ground floor, came up to my condo and immediately started to work. They brought all the moving equipment they needed to efficiently and effectively pack their truck. They even had 60 moving blankets on hand which they used most of them to wrap up my furniture and fragile items to protect them from any damage. What I found very interesting is that Sammy and VJ often where off packing / moving items on their own but when one of them needed the other they were there to help ... they worked in tandem without actually needing to verbally communicate with each other ... it seemed to happen quite naturally ... signs of a great team! They packed up my 2 bedroom condo in about three hours and then started their 2.5 hour drive to Napanee, Ontario. I met them out there. Since I did not have my new house yet for still a few move days they emptied the truck in to two separate storage lockers that I had rented. Again, they did this together as a team with very little verbal communication ... they just knew what to do and did it very well functioning cohesively. Most all of the items they wrapped in their moving blankets they unwrapped with much care ... there were a few items that I asked to leaved wrapped and I purchased the moving blankets from Let's Get Moving which was a nice option for me. After all was unloaded Sammy and VJ cleaned up, I paid them exactly what I thought I would as per my quote from the sales team (fyi ... paid cash to save on the credit card markup cost), a good tip for a job well done and then they left to return back home to the Let's Get Moving office in the GTA area. At this point I was extremely impressed with my entire experience with the Let's Get Moving team from start to finish. But, to my surprise, it even got a little a little bit better the next day ... I received a email from the Let's Get Moving team indicating that an error had occurred when calculating the total bill ... and, to be honest, I thought "ok here we go ... the horror story begins" ... but ... to my pleasant surprise ... they reached out to me to let me know that my deposit was not factored into the total amount I paid so they refunded my deposit (plus taxes) back to my credit card ... and, I might add this as done immediately (i.e. the next day). Now Let's Get Moving could have simply not informed me of this and made some extra revenue on my move as I would have never have known but they didn't. I thought that this level of integrity on the Let's Get Moving side was amazing. So, if I could have rated Let's Get Moving more than five stars I would have. They really went the extra mile (and then some). Being a very skeptical customer about any moving company ... I would, with to a doubt, high recommend Let's get Moving to be your moving company of choice ... hand down. For anyone that has moved or is planning to move I am sure you can appreciate that there is so much to worry about when moving ... not having to worry about your moving company's professionalism, timeliness, work ethics, level of moving item care, and level of customer care is a HUGE relief !! Hopefully I will not be moving anytime soon but if/when I do I will not hesitate to use Let's Get Moving again without a second thought !! :) read more

Very impressed with this moving service! I had been skeptical of using a moving service again as I had a very bad experience previously with another company gouging me unexpectedly after my last move was completed. I also had some concerns about using a moving service during a serious third wave during a global pandemic. However, having seen the Let's Get Moving truck used often around my neighbourhood I ultimately decided to give them a shot to help me with the most stressful move I've ever had, and I'm so glad I did. I was very pleased with their end-to-end service from booking to completion. Their website had all the information I needed for research and it was very easy to get the initial estimate online. Their rates were really reasonable, especially at 15 minute increments for additional time charged. I was able to get a promotional hourly rate for a mid-month move which was a bonus as I was already stretched financially for this move. Ryan from their sales team was great, very quick to respond and answered all my questions. He made sure I had everything I needed for my move, and was flexible with the time slot for my move as I had some initial difficulty getting both building elevators booked at my origin and destination locations due to the booking times being different for each elevator. Cedric from their operations team followed up the day before my move to confirm the move details. This company uses many communication channels and automated systems for email, SMS, and phone calls so it was very reassuring to know we were all on the same page and everything was 100% confirmed. I only needed the basic moving service for this move, but it was nice to know that they also had additional services like providing boxes, packing, and junk removal had I needed it. On my moving day, Vlad and Ryan arrived on time, having called me 30 minutes beforehand to let me know they were leaving their headquarters. It was still 30 minutes earlier than I had expected but it worked out great having them get everything ready before my moving elevator was available, which I also lucked out on as my superintendent ended up putting the elevator into service earlier than they told me they could since the movers showed up so early. They were able to load all my items very quickly and took out my furniture and other large items to my building's bulk disposal area. On the way to the destination location there was unexpected road closures at both ends of the street where my building's loading dock was located. This made an already stressful day even more stressful with trying to find a solution with the movers and my building concierge. Thankfully after talking to a police officer at one of the construction sites we were finally able to get the moving truck into the street it needed to go into. From there we encountered more unexpected issues as my building was still under construction and the crew was obstructing the loading dock. Eventually we were able to resolve that issue as well and after all that we were still early for the elevator start time and had to wait until the previous booking was finished. Once the elevator became available, they got everything up to my unit in record time. All my items arrived in perfect condition with no damage to the unit. I was moving from a studio apartment to a 1 bedroom condo across the street, it took them 4.5 hours including travel time and the delay from the road closures, construction, and waiting for the 2nd elevator to free up. Once the move was completed, they showed me the calculations for the final invoice, which was greatly appreciated as transparency had been one of my biggest issues previously. We moved from a 2 storey 1000 sq ft Toronto condo to a 3 storey 2000 sq ft Brampton Townhouse in Jan 2019. Lots of stairs and alot of stuff to move. Customer service was excellent! Tiam was super friendly, patient, courteous and professional. He answered all my questions and addressed any concerns. Everything was explained. I dreaded moving and he made it a positive first experience. No hidden fees, fast & easy booking, excellent service, no hassle, no deposit, no long questionnaire to fill out. We needed 3 movers for the big move as we had alot of stuff to move. We even got a bigger truck too. Paid a little extra but it was well worth it! Makes the move faster and more efficient. We even got a discount because we were moving before end of month!! Sweet! We booked the service elevator. The 3 movers arrived on time 8:30am on saturday with their large moving truck. They were super friendly and fast! A can-do attitude! No job was too big for them they said. Great positive attitude! They brought furniture padding and blankets, tools, tape, dollies and anything needed for the big move. They carefully wrapped and tightly taped all our furniture to make sure there was no damage during the move. They even moved our Ikea heavy armoire closet. Very strong movers. Very organized and experienced too. They navigated through our tight hallways and door frames at the condo building. They even moved the extra stuff from our locker room located in the p1 parking level!! I was extremely impressed! Fantastic job! Super, fast and efficient move. They even disassembled our queen bed and reassembled it again at the new home. In the new home, they laid down blankets in the main foyer and they even took off their boots on the upper floors so they wouldn't dirty the floors and new carpets. They treat our home like it was their own. They unloaded all the numbered boxes and furniture in different rooms and navigated through 3 floors (lots of stairs). Smooth efficient move! Best Moving Experience! I hardly know where to start. From the very beginning, starting with our search for estimates, Let's Get Moving was onboard and ready to help. Sam walked us through the booking process, made helpful suggestions, and answered all our questions clearly and patiently. Two days before the move date, we were contacted by Kat (email, text, and a phone call to cover all bases) to make sure everything was in order, and to see if we had any concerns or needed anything extra (mattress bags, protection for tv, etc). Such a proactive approach was very impressive. As for the move itself - everything that could possibly go wrong from our end, did. We were moving from a busy, inner city neighbourhood. Imagine a situation where parking is almost non-existent. We used our own car to 'reserve' a space for the movers, but a car is not a moving van. Not a problem for Siva. He navigated the van into a space that I can only compare to threading a needle - with ease! He and Heiner showed up on time (masked for our protection) with all the necessary materials to ensure that our property would be well protected and handled it with care. Oh, did I mention that one of the elevators in the building had broken down, and the other could therefore not be put on 'service'? No cause for alarm. Siva and Heiner handled this with skillful efficiency, moving the contents of our fourth-floor apartment quickly and resourcefully without ever causing inconvenience to the other tenants in our building. They took on a challenging task in a thoroughly professional manner, remaining cheerful, friendly, and reassuring throughout the process. After that ordeal, the move in at the other end was a cakewalk. A pleasant surprise at the end of this adventure was the price. When our final bill was tallied, it was much lower than we had anticipated by several hundred dollars! All in all, we highly recommend Let's Get Moving. Our residential move involved refurnishing specific spaces, by picking up new furniture from a warehouse, removing the existing furniture, unpacking, setting up the new furniture, and then securly packing and taking the existing furniture to a different residence. I enlisted the help of 'Let's Get Moving' for this task. Leading up to the date of the move, I had a confirmation call with the assurance that the move will go as planned. On the day of the move, the three gentlemen arrived at the warehouse 10 minutes before the requested time. All three ascertained the items on our pick list were checked and loaded in the truck. At the residence, after considering the scope and sequence of the tasks at hand, all three worked to ensure their work superseded all expectations. Recent immigrants, Teleki, Mike, and Gurpreet, shared their stories, when asked. Teleki, a talented musician, conveyed his passion for it when he asked to play the piano during their lunch break. Indeed, it was a mesmerizing gift as his fingers danced on the keys and the music captivated us all. Truly, we were in the company of a maestro. All three continued to work diligently to ensure that all pieces requiring assembly were constructed with due consideration to the finest detail. Each of them assured that once an item was opened, displayed in its rightful place, all packaging was removed and the area was cleaned. Although, the work became arduous due to the number of items requiring assembly, the three gentlemen kept up the pace to meet their measure of excellence. With a whole day's work behind them, they continued to be light- hearted, hard working, and conscientious as they travelled to the second residence. Not surprising, they completed the last component of this work with the same care, consideration, and professionalism they had demonstrated throughout the day. read more

This was my first big move and I was terrified. I lived in Scarborough and was moving downtown. I started calling up movers in July and the prices and conditions I was getting had me terrified. Anyway, the middle of August I found Let's Get Moving on this website and I gave them a call. Right off the bat they were amazing. The guy who answered was polite and seem to know what he was doing. He asked me a few questions to familiarize himself with my situation then explained to me in details how it all works, how the company operates and the quoted price was great. They do have a minimum but that's to be expected. My move was September 2nd. The movers showed up early which is always good. I wasn't home at the time but they chilled and waited for me. Both of the movers introduced themselves and after asking for a layout of the land so to speak, they got right to work. They were polite and respectful (another thing that shocked me after the horror stories I've heard). I didn't have many large pieces, but tons of smaller things like bins and bags of stuff and boxes. They never complained. Even after it turns out their truck was too big to pull up to my door which would have made it easier for them. These guys were amazing. Even my dad was impressed with them and trust me, my father is NOT easily impressed. I was very happy with my move. nothing was broken, nothing was left behind, they didn't drop anything...of all the horror stories I heard about moving, this one was a walk in the park. If your on the fence about using this company , listen to my experience with the guys from let's get moving. 2 weeks ago I moved from Downtown Toronto to Blue Mountain with my husband and 2 kids and we used Let's get moving Canada. I am compelled to share my experience because I believe that when a company really does well by me they truly deserve a good review or acknowledgment. The service I received was above and beyond my expectations. I had 2 moves Carlos , Christopher and I forget the 3rd persons name but they were so kind to my mother whos 65, respectful to my kids. Everything was handled with extra care, covered in wrap and blankets and carried quickly yet safetly. I honestly never saw them once stop to even drink water. I literally loved that they genuinely loved their work and helping our family. They were authentic, strong and fair. They never dilly dallied or wasted time and arrived to my new house in perfect timing considering the traffic. They even stayed at our new place for a few minutes to make sure we were settled and happy and this was almost midnight where most people would be dying to just leave the house and go home to bed. This company works hard, delivers on their promised , does not over charge and is seriously above and beyond any other moving companies out there. I didn't even need to pack my clothes they literally hung them in mini box closets and it saved me so many hours. No joke will 100 use this company again in the future should i need to move. read more

I recommend Let's Get Moving without hesitation for their ethics, compassion and impeccable customer service. They appreciate like no other that a move is a life event, not just a transaction. Pre-move: easy to book, always available to answer questions, automatic confirmations that give you peace of mind. During the move: movers showed up ahead of time, very professional and careful (Latrell and Moussa). I missed the time slot that I had booked at my new building and the next available slot was SIX HOURS LATER! -All the members of the team showed compassion and respect for what I was going through. Starting with Latrell and Moussa and ending with Tiam, they made me feel understood and worked with me to find an economical solution that would allow me to have my "life" in my new condo on the same day. They could have taken this as an opportunity to sell me more services and charge me exorbitant amounts of money for the wait. They did not. Shout out to the entire team for OUTSTANDING customer service and ethics. Post-move: A floor lamp was broken during the move. As soon as I let Tiam know he offered to pay. Since I had not properly packed it, I said that I would pay 50%. He insisted on paying it in full and did transfer the funds right away... including taxes!!! Overall, I am very impressed with their passion for the business, their empathy with their clients, their ethics and impeccable customer service. I rarely write bad reviews but this story has to be told. One mover was completely incompetent and slow and so the lead mover convinced me to let him call a 3rd mover to speed things up (at my cost). I agreed because I only had the elevator booked for 2 hours. Then 2 movers kept bickering and the lead mover sent the incompetent one home after he disappeared for about about an hour in the middle of the move and then returned and damaged my desk in the move. The insurance clause is very weak and so I was not going to get much from their insurance which was very upsetting. Worse was the manager called to hear my story about the movers and offered me a $50 discount on my invoice. I thought it wasn't enough but I took it anyways. He knew I filled out the insurance claim with pictures. He said the $50 would be credited to my card and told me to sign the settlement agreement in order to get the $50. Later I find out that the settlement agreement voids my insurance claim too, which they knew and took advantage of the fact that customers would not know this. When I complained about this trick, the Customer Service rep named Roger, simply said "you signed the settlement agreement and so we owe you nothing." Wow. Do NOT use this company. Very unprofessional and took advantage of people regarding the insurance claim. Not to mention that not all of their movers are professional movers!! read more

Hi there, you won't find me posting much in ways of reviews but this time around I have to write something up. We had a last minute need to empty a commercial space of about 900sqf with a fair amount of heavy pieces of furnitures and a variety of other items, some bulky others fragile. We connected yesterday with a few moving companies and ended up deciding on Let's Get Moving. The folks on the phone were very straight forward and clear in what to expect. The price was fair. Their crew was supposed to arrive between 2 and 4pm today. They would give us a heads up before showing up. At 1:50, we got a note that they'd be there in 10mins. At 2pm sharp, Illen and Dan arrived on location. Super professional and really friendly. They quickly got a sense of what was needed and got to work. I am so impressed with the pride they put into their work. They took so much care of our stuff, wrapping and blanketing, and securing in their truck. That was a lot of work (including some stairs) and they always kept a smile on their face and great spirit. And always super professional. When done they drove straight to the delivery spot and did a marvellous job unpacking, stacking and organizing. I am so impressed. K1, Hamid Reza Things got off to a rocky start when my concierge wouldn't open the loading dock till 9am (moving elevator booking time) so the movers parked the truck on the street and began to pack for 30 minutes which was amazing. This was a packing and move job and they came prepared with boxes and tape (additional charge of course). Hamid was efficient at assembling and disassembling my bed and both worked well as a team and were very efficient and productive. In the last five minutes of the job however, the movers dented and chipped my brand new wall when bringing in the sofa. Perhaps this could have been avoided if the sofa was brought in first since boxes were in the way by the time it was moved in. This was not covered under the basic insurance and but I reached out to customer service and they showed a sign of goodwill which made me feel better. I also had an uncomfortable experience when one of the movers explicitly asked for a positive review at the end (after damaging wall) and came up with me to my unit and stood over my shoulder till it was done. I was assured by customer service that this wouldn't happen again and reviews should be unbiased. Accidents do happen but a ding is a ding and if it were not for the goodwill showed by the company this would be a lower star review. We had a challenging office move due to building moving rules and contractor timings for the new office. The Let's Get Moving Team was simply AMAZING!!!! They accommodated us with every request, every delay, basically everything. A special thank you to Roger at Operations who was so patient and understanding with me and could easily recognize the stress level I was experiencing. Also a big thank you to the moving teams, they were professional, courteous and had an amazing sense of humour. A big shout out to Raed and his team who on Saturday, May 7th, managed to get all the furniture in the new office with a smile and great attitude. We had to position office furniture over 4 floors with no elevator (Gotta love these city homes!). Raed and his team always had a smile on their faces when we would say "Third floor, basement, second floor" and would cheer when we would say "Main floor". Amazing, amazing team that kept us laughing and made the move such a pleasant experience. Let's Get Moving is not the most economical company but I have to say that the extra $$ you pay is well worth it and I do not have any reservation in recommending them to family and friends. We will be moving again in 5 years time and rest assured, Let's Get Moving will be our go to company. read more

I chose Let's Get Moving because they had the best reviews and I was not disappointed. It was by far the best choice. They have excellent customer service from the get go. Tiam is extremely helpful at the initial call for information. He answered all my questions no problem. He gave me a quote that was much cheaper than any of the other movers (that quote you by weight) I called. They charge by the hour which is so much better than by weight. I even called fairly late to book a truck and it was no problem. On moving day, Latrell and Griffin were my movers. They arrived on time and with a clean well kept truck. Both were very courteous and helpful, really very nice. They wrapped all the furniture that needed to be wrapped and handled all my items with care. And they were equally as careful with the unloading. And they were quick as well so you know that they weren't trying to drag out the time so they could charge more. The quote I received from Tiam at the time I booked the truck was spot on. It was exactly what I was quoted. Not one cent more. I moved from Mississauga to Hamilton. I am definately recommending them to family and friends and any one else I hear that is moving. You will definately not regret choosing Let's Get Moving for your move. read more

Let's Get Moving was a huge help in moving a one bed plus den to a one bedroom. They were extremely friendly and moved very fast, emptying my condo in a half hour (granted I had moved a lot of smaller items in boxes ahead of time so there were only about 20-25 items max that needed moving but they were still very fast.) When we got to my new place, they were also very patient and helpful as unfortunately the new building's service elevator was out of service meaning we had to use the one everyone else was using. However, we were still able to get everything up to the 10th floor by elevator, while also getting a couch up 10 flights of stairs as it wouldn't fit in the smaller non-service elevator. I have to commend them for taking this in stride as it would be a real inconvenience for any mover. They also were able to still move things quickly so we were pretty much just outside the three hour minimum (which would likely have been under if it werent' for the elevator issue) I didn't catch both their names, but quite sure Vijay was one of the two (I'm horrible with names). I would highly recommend them for anyone's future move (just make sure your new place's service elevator is working!) Sean P. read more

I've read a lot of reviews from different companies online trying to avoid those bad experiences my friends had with their moving companies. And honestly that time was worth spent! This company was better then just having none bad experiences! They were all very nice young honest hard workers, it was really late when they came cause they got hold from the last house, they finished everything as fast as possible so that we could get our sleep, but they were actually much more tired then we were from all that hard work during the day. The manager was super too, they did not try to rip me off at all, they apologized of coming late, and they did made sure if I was okay with the delay before my schedule. Honestly I think they've done a lot for me and I really appreciate it. I've saved they're numbers just in case a friend needs recommendations or if I ever move again. And if you'd like to know what happened to my friend with their moving company: They took an hour break after picking up their furnitures, without letting them know, charged them for that break time,and of course there's no apologies for all the waiting. Clearly there are some dishonest companies out there. read more

THEY EXTORT MONEY FROM YOU. The worst movers I have ever come across. They extorted money out of me once the items arrived at my place. Their quote was 600 but once they arrived they wouldn't open the van until I paid them $1200 dollars! And this was for a small move ( bachelor apt). They threatened to leave with my items in the truck! They also made me sign a document stating I would not speak publicly about it. Imagine. I called the police after the incident ans they stated they have received many calls about the criminal acts of their company but there is little they can do as they operate on a grey area. This is the reason they have so many 5 star reviews. They offer people money when they write poor review, have them sign the waiver which by the way is inadmissible in court, then they make you delete your bad review. Not top of that, they lost some of my items! A simple delivery from a location 20 mins away ( storage locker where everything was packed up) took them 9 hours. Disgusting company do not use! They have been reported to the better buisness bureau. read more

I have only started with a quote and a booking on the spot after chatting with Moussa today. I read the reviews and went to the website to check out the details. I was/am so impressed at your business model, so different and flexible, and helpful. Moving is a stressful situation and your staff took away the worry, gave me the information I needed and now I have a good solid quote, it is affordable, and I feel reassured since I have to store my items in a POD for a month, and don't need a truck, they were able to give me a quote for 2 guys to move my stuff into the POD and later, when I know where I'm moving to... they will meet me at the new place and move everything into my new place, from the POD. I even got info that can help me decide which day I need to move depending on whether I need a second POD, or if I need help with packing on the day of the move. Can't ask for more than that. Thank you for all of your time and kindness in helping me feel like a big weight was lifted off my shoulders, even before the move. read more

Worst moving experience ever! Closed one house, 3 guys arrived on time , truck to small. Called for more guys and they got the truck done two trips in good timing. Had to use their storage site for a few days, Until the closing of the new house. Got the stuff out of storage, two trucks 6 guys and took all day to arrive to the new location. 7pm and left almost 11 pm. Two of the 6 guys were useless. Un packing found custom made Armoire was damaged , cost 500.00 to repair it. Some work tools were missing! and overall this job cost with two moves storage over 3 grand . and they requested some cash? ? ? Called the company regarding the damages and missing items answer was " Will look into it " Next time I will rent the truck and hire a few guys I know , Pay and feed them and still have a smooth move and money left over! Unbelievable to me how two trucks and 6 guys took longer then 5 guys , one truck doing two trips ? ' Hard to find good help now a days " read more

Incredible positive experience! The service provided by the client servicing team and the follow up emails, confirmations and texts were incredibly professional, efficient and helpful. The client servicing personnel were courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. We were apprehensive as we had a bad experience in the past, however true to word, the movers arrived on time. Jashandeep and Crew were super careful and did not waste any time! We were moved into the new place hours ahead of schedule. Jashandeep and Crew worked so darn hard but never lost their smile and sense of professionalism. Despite the weather throwing some curve balls of hail, snow and ice rain, nothing stopped them from getting the job done. We are so super impressed with the level of service and the pre and post support provided, we could not rate Let's Get Moving any higher.
